Graylynn Buffalo Reviews
Went @4:00p, about 8 other guests and was full @6:30! Sat at bar, comfy seating, open bright and inviting. Knowledgeable staff-Great atmosphere-Delish drinks-Beet salad was yum and charcuterie had a great fresh selection! First time but definitely not the lat visit!
I love this place! The food and drinks are so good and it’s definitely a one of a kind Buffalo gem! The gin selection is awesome and the cocktails are always so creative! Katy and Monica are some great bartenders and Cade and Maddie are awesome servers!
I was here alone (had planned to bring friends but it fell through) and sat at the bar where I got two awesome, creative cocktails! Dinner was the musakhan chicken pasties (they are a size somewhere between a pierogi and an empanada) and dessert was the sticky toffee pudding. Everything was excellent and clearly prepared with much care and skill. Lots of interesting menu items and a lively modern bar vibe. Highly recommend for a night out with friends in Buffalo.
Whether you're a local or an out of towner this spot is a must go to! It's classy, yet laid back. The food is so elevated, as if you were eating at a Michelin star restaurant. Not your typical dishes either, the chef is always putting together some combinations of foods and turning them into masterpieces. I wouldn't say kid friendly, but only because if you have a picky eater, they probably wouldn't enjoy the menu. Staff is so wonderful, bubbly, and extremely knowledgeable. A definite go to for us! Here's their beef wellie!
What a perfect place for an amazing night out for dinner! I was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. The waitstaff there is really kind and friendly, the music and ambiance of the entire place is awesome, the meals were stunning, and the cocktails were incredibly impressive (especially for me not being super into gin, I loved the special cocktail they had going the night we came in)! The duck wing risotto was delicious and very filling, the hand pies they had that night as a special were perfect, and we're glad we tried the sticky figgy pudding for dessert because it ended up being the perfect way to cap off an already impressive dinner. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out!
What a great accident this ended up being! Not only did we spend 1 1/2 hours with our dining experience, we progressed to the bar to enjoy a few more drinks. Molly, Kate, and Casey were very accommodating. The food and how it was all prepared...omg... genius with the ingredients. Every attention to detail! I mean, when the whipped cream on the creme brulee is infused with lemon, grapefruit, and vermouth... who does that? This place is special on our list!
This place has been on my to go list for a long while. I should've gone to this place sooner because it was a great experience. One of the best meals I've had in a while. We ordered bacon butty sandwich and arroz de pato(duck wings with risotto) as well as the vision quest and slow jazz for drinks. The duck wings were flavorful and crispy. The risotto also tasted great and creamy. The sandwich was also a good choice and perfect portion. I don't drink too often but these drinks were perfectly mixed. The service was great. Our server was very friendly. We were checked up on frequently. The food and drinks didn't take too long to come to our table. The atmosphere was nice. I am a big fan of the duck decor and plants all around the space. There weren't many people in the place when we arrived but it got very popular near the end of our meal. Overall, great experience. A bit expensive but highly worth it in my opinion.
Try the scotch eggs and go out on a limb with the cocktails! We tried the Avant Gardener special, and the Slow Jazz. So delicious. The atmosphere is chill but fun, and the staff is wonderful. Our bartender Katie offered an amazing personality, great conversation and *perfect* cocktails. We chatted with GM Sarah and she was wonderful. Check this place out and you won’t be disappointed.
Hands down, the best gin bar in Buffalo. The ambience is great and the gin selection is even better. We were a group of 4 and tried atleast 6-7 cocktails and each better than the other. Service was prompt too. Definitely recommend adding this to a must visit when in Buffalo if you are looking for good cocktails and a great evening! We didn't dine there, so no comment on the food, but it's worth mentioning that it was full when we walked in to get cocktails after dark!
Been here several times and always have a great time. The service is on point and friendly. I don't really care for gin but they always make a great non gin drink too. The charcuterie coupled with the fried mortadella sandwich is one of my favorites, the pasties were just alright. Their brunch is also great when you get sit out on the patio in warmer months. Will definitely keep coming back.
Our server (Kayde) was a delight - knowledgeable, funny, suggested the right gin for our taste - but their section was way too big with not enough support so they were juggling a LOT. We were seated right next to the door and it got really cold. When I asked the host/manager to close the door for a bit while we ate, she hesitated and needed some convincing. I found that so irritating - should the 4 of us just suffer? No thank you. Otherwise a great experience!
The food selection is really eclectic. Being at a you’d think you can get a burger but none was on the menu. No decaf coffee either. Service was good but getting food to our table of eight was extremely slow. My pastie Chana Masala was ok. The beet salad was good but only had maybe 4-5 small beet slices. Several of my friends got the beef wellies on the server’s recommendation and they were really really small. I mean even the women complained. Not the size of a main dish, should’ve been under small plates. Good atmosphere but the music is a bit too loud. I hear the drinks were good but I gave up alcohol for lent so I can’t comment on them. Good presentation though. Overall with the food just being ok at best and portions small I wouldn’t come back
Used to love graylynn but I just had a subpar experience. Host said they were out of tables and there were also no seats at the bar so we were seated in the "lounge" and asked to walk up to the bar to order. We were treated like lepers when we did so. The bartenders tried to ignore us and when one finally did take our orders and make our drinks she slammed the drinks down rudely spilling the contents. Also we had vegetarians excited to try the plant based corn dog option. They were deep fried baby carrots. Carrots. When we decided to leave it took forever to close our tabs, again being treated like lepers because we didn't have a seat at the bar. To top it off the tables that we were told we couldn't sit at were empty the entire time we were there. Also what is up with the weird graffiti they've added.
We ordered the vegetarian corn dogs (literally deep fried baby carrots) and drinks. The waitress (after waiting over 10 minutes for her to look at us from off her phone) rolled her eyes and said that they might not have the drink I ordered. So she made me something else instead. When she delivered our drinks to our area, she slammed them down on the tables aggressively. She took forever to cash us out too and was very irritated by us waiting where we’re supposed to wait to pay at the bar.
