Gypsy Parlor Buffalo Reviews
Great place to drink and eat! Very unique atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their delicious food. The staff was super responsive, knowledgeable and friendly! There were 11 of us and they were able to accommodate us on the fly after our reservation was misplaced. Everyone enjoyed our evening together. As a bonus, it was open mic night and we got to hear some incredible live music.
I really enjoyed Gypsy Parlor. Their staff is fantastic super welcoming and attentive. The decor is great, really cozy vibes. I had the Creme Brulee cocktail. It was good, but it was missing the sugar rim which I think would have helped it feel sweeter. The Cajun Fettuccine was freaking amazing!! The balance of spice in the cream sauce was perfect. The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sausage was very flavorful. The dish was extremely well composed and the portion size was generous. My friend had the tacos and said they were amazing as well. I will definitely be back especially since the menu had other great options I want to try. Highly recommend you stop by!!
This place is truly a gem! The speakeasy feel, the different wallpapers, the ancient bar, the atmosphere is amazing. The food is delicious and the service was spot on! Only good things to say
This establishment is a true pillar of our city!! Not just a bar, but a place that really brings people together. Many have celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, holidays you name it. I can say from personal experience there's no such thing as "still hungry" when you visit here and with a versatile menu ranging from traditional classics to vegan options to weekly features, there's literally something for everyone. The Gypsy Parlor has a huge investment in community lending a platform for the Arts also fundraising. And of course, can't go wrong with the wings!! See for yourself!!
I was very pleasantly surprised by all three phases of this dining experience. Came in on a tueday night round 8 to have a low key birthday celebration. It was a slow night there which afforded us the opportunity to have our ouck of tables. The ambiance reminded me of a cross between an old mobster lounge and an artistic boutique dive bar, though i dont mean that with a negative connotation. The lighting and the vibe was fairly unique and appreciated. Not upscale and trendy but with style. The menu had a nice variety of fairly inspired and original options. A number of vegan options. It ranged from glorified pub food and premium casual. Pricing was very reasonable and felt on target. Our selections were pretty well executed and everything was delicous. A special acknowledgement of the "apple pie egg rolls" desert. They exceeded our expectations and were a delicous inspired treat that was a perfect conclusion of the meal, portioned nicely for 2 people The service was excellent. The girl who waited on us was quick, and on top of it, attentive in the perfect degree for this type of establishment. From a co owner of a restaurant, (experienced in serving, bar tending and cooking) i'd like to give credit where due. The gypsy parlor was an excellent experience, my compliments to the staff. I will definitely stop in again the next time i am in buffalo and would absolutely recommend the establishment
Always knew it was a pretty awesome little bar, but never ate dinner there until today. Wow, the hype was real. Amazing food. Will 💯 be back.
So are you looking for eccentricity, well this is the place. The food is phenomenal from multi fusion’s dishes rather it be Brunch , Dinner or the late night menu. Menu changes every season. Great staff , walking in you can smell the aromas of the kitchen. Staff are happy to share favorites dishes from the menu , if you’re indecisive. The Menu offers a vast array of options including ( vegetarian) 🙏🏽. Late night menu open to 2:45 am. The pastelios are so good with kick of spice 🤤, the wings also a favorite and highly recommend by other patrons. Right now the dinner menu I have to recommend the appetizer buffalo chicken egg rolls. Brunch , the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon , oh and peppercorn steak . Amazing tastes and good prices. Great place to meet interesting people as you stuff your belly with delicious delectable food. Warning you will come back for more 😂🤤😮💨. Bring you sweats you will leave fill and happy.
Went for a Sunday brunch and got the Huevos Rancheros and was pleasantly surprised by how good and delicious it was. I also had the Gypsy Juice as my beverage, along with some Pastelitos (beef) shared for the table. Those were just OK to me and I've had better elsewhere. My party and I sat outside for a nice day out on the patio and some people watching, and despite being the only ones out there while we were dining, we still had great service from our server.
Such a cool vibe in this place I'm very glad we happened to stumble in during their Christmas party which was a lot of fun. Very friendly staff and overall welcoming and chill atmosphere. This will be my go to hang out spot in Buffalo. Delicious food especially the wings and Brussel sprouts! Can't recommend enough, also in a cool cool neighborhood
Food was outstanding! We got the Trash Plate as well as the creole fettuccine and a pastillo. Hot and fresh and great portion sizes. I had dinner and lunch and it was amazing the next day. Jon was our server and he was fantastic. Took great care of us and gave us space when needed. The entire Bar/dining is so welcoming and warm. It's a bit dim in there but perfect when your on a date. Will return for sure!!
FANTASTIC Spot. Out of towners looking for a late night drink and food(since most things wanted to close at 10pm on Thursdays) this is a perfect night out. Busy area with a robust crowd. Loved the vibe - Karaoke night was so much fun. Bar tenders are friendly and make fantastic drinks! Cosmo was 10/10. Delicious food too!! It was a packed house when we went and honestly cannot wait to go back when we're in town again!
This place was a great find the food is incredible and the staff was extremely nice. Prices were very reasonable and everything was extremely tasty. The menu however should come with warning labels because the quality and the quantity are definitely not represented with the prices. Single serve portions would probly feed a family of 4. The Raman tasted incredible but the bowl was more of a trough. If we are in the area again we will stop in and I highly recommend entire menu to anyone else
The Gypsy Parlor was a total experience! We went specifically for the wings based on their reputation, and they absolutely delivered—but the entertainment was an awesome bonus. It was Karaoke night, and the passionate regulars singing their hearts out gave the place such a fun, lively energy. The wings were spectacular; our favorite was definitely the Hot Garlic Parmesan. The place was packed and vibrant all night. We topped it all off with an incredible chocolate lava cake. Highly recommend!
Came to watch the end of the football game and enjoy some dinner and drinks. The drinks were great but the food...the food was so salty at least 2 of us in our group couldnt eat it. Atmosphere is great and service e was good.
Very cool spot. There is truly no other bar in Buffalo like the Gypsy Parlor. Dinner options are great. West Side Trash Plat and pastelitos go hard. Brunch isn't anything special.
My friend recommended we go to this place and I'm so glad we went originally. I never expected to have amazing food at a bar like this before! Just recently, I went back with her so I've now dined here twice. There are lots of delicious vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. The atmosphere is unique. Note: the menu on the website has fewer options than the in-person menu and there is also a menu of daily specials given to you. 2 suggestions to the owners: 1) Update the online menu and 2) wipe down the tables well with a clean cloth (the table was sticky and smelled like strong vinegar).
I've been wanting to go here for awhile now. We decided to go to celebrate my birthday (a few days early.) First it's in a sketchy neighborhood. I wouldn't leave my car unlocked, if you can find parking nearby. The table we sat at needed to be cleaned so that was my first turn off. Used the bathroom and the tila are different colors and there's pain smeared on the wall assuming to cover something up but it's not the same green that's already there so it looks terrible. I got the shrimp tacos which were perfect. Only thing might be to get bigger tortillas since they didn't hold everything. My boyfriend got a steak sandwich which he said was over done and wasn't happy with the fries either. We both decided we may try it again one day but not in a rush to go back. I really wanted this to be a great place too.
