Teton Kitchen Elmwood Buffalo Reviews
Good price for lunch! Love the taste :3
Great food good service very nice server will definitely come back
This is my favorite sushi place. The eats are amazing and if you've never tried calamari this is the place to try 1st. I was surprised how cold it was inside. A little more heat in the winter can really make this a 5 star atmosphere.
We dined in at this restaurant and had a wonderful experience! Great service, very kind workers. Food was done very quickly. We ordered the thai iced tea, Thai fried rice, and R23 Big Guy Al sushi roll. All of these tasted wonderful, highly recommended. For quality food and lovely service, come to Teton Kitchen!
Even though I no longer live in Buffalo, Teton Kitchen on Elmwood remains a must visit every single time I’m back - and on my most recent trip home, it was my very first stop, just as it has been for years. That alone should tell you how much I love this place. The location is fantastic, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the food is consistently outstanding. Truly, you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Some of my forever favorites include the Snow White roll, Rocket Shrimp, and the tofu avocado salad. The sushi is always fresh and prepared with so much care and every bite reminds me why this place has held a special place in my heart for so long. Beyond the food, the owners, Taka and Khin, are what make Teton Kitchen truly exceptional. They are genuinely kind, warm, and welcoming - the kind of people who make you feel like family the moment you walk in. Their friendliness and passion shine through every visit. I may live thousands of miles away now, but Teton Kitchen is still one of the first places I go when I return to Buffalo. 10+ years later and still just as incredible. If you’re looking for amazing sushi, wonderful service, and a place that never disappoints - this is it!
Went there last week and enjoy every minute of it. The appetizer of seaweed salad and avocado , 2 rolls and pad thai. All excellent, and service was great. Ordering again for take out today!!!
My friend and I come every week for a cocktail and dinner and they have never let us down. Sue has made the cherry bomb, french martini and rainforest drink are AMAZING!! The fish is always fresh on my sushi and the staff is so nice :)
Always very friendly staff that know many by name. Food is always fresh as they make it to order right near dining room. The food is well worth the money and is reasonably priced DESPITE “inflation “! Love it! Also…the spicy Bloody Mary is EXCELLENT!
I live in a bit of a Thai food desert, and although this restaurant isn't strictly Thai, they served me the best curry dishes I've had in years! The chicken katsu curry in particular was phenomenal! I would suggest that anyone in the area give this place a try. You won't be disappointed. The prices are really good, the staff is great and the food is the best. Unfortunately I don't live in the area, but Teton Kitchen will be a stopping point on my trips to and from the east coast going forward!
Amazing Thai and sushi with a wide variety of offerings. Loved all of the unique sake options. The meals did come out at different times vs all at once so be aware that you might be eating separately from your party if you order sushi vs cooked vs fried foods. But overall very impressed!
The food and atmosphere here is always amazing! If you're looking for a relaxing atmosphere to dine in, this would be a good place. They also have a pretty good variety of Thai and Burmese cuisines as well as drinks to choose from. We got the seafood japanese yakiudon and the kiss of the spider woman. Definitely a must try if you come!
Best Asian fusion food in Buffalo! We absolutely love it here. Service is always fast and friendly. Vegetable dumplings are so good both steamed and fried! Our two favorite meals are red curry and yaki udon- you cannot go wrong with these and especially if you’d like the spice levels to be 3-4 out of 5! Their Crispy Rocket Shrimp is incredibly delicious with an enticing crunch. The flavors and spices added with each dish have been phenomenal and the service is outstanding, providing vegan options/adjustments.
Nice laid back spot, atmosphere is relaxing. Good drink selection. Really recommend the pineapple sake. The food is amazing from apps to entrees. Everything had great flavor and the spice levels are pretty on par, once you get to level 3 it starts to really spice up. But if you’re familiar with Asian cuisine then you’ll know what I mean. The service was great and everyone on staff was extremely warm and welcoming. Would definitely come anytime and would recommend to any of my friends in town. Would say for the amount of stuff we ordered the price was fair.
Would of loved to give it a 5 star but I just couldn't... Loves! Food is very good. We had 4 different sushis and 2 apps and a soup. Everything tasted delicious. The waitress was sooooo sweet to us. We were the only ones there and I had my one month old. Needless to say he ended up getting sick all over me and himself. She seen and rushed over some napkins which she didn't have to do and she was very understanding. Her kindness alone would make me come back Now the dislikes...not hates... The soft drinks are not free refills. You have to pay for each one you get which I've never experienced at a restaurant/kitchen. The decor and environment is lacking. No color or love. Wish it had more of a authentic feeling. The floors were not very clean possibly from the snow and salt outside.
Eh I think it's the best word to describe the sushi. Cool ambiance, very kind and nice staff, I'm sure the rest of the menu is solid but I should have stayed away from the sushi. I ordered a house special roll and the sashimi dinner. The roll I ordered was pretty good but the sashimi plate definitely had some very not fresh fish on it. I did not get sick or anything but could definitely tell some of the pieces were on their way out.
This was by far the worst place I have eaten in the past few years. Not only did the food lack flavor but the server forgot my order. Then I had to remind her and by the time I received my food, everybody at my table has already finished their food. Furthermore, the server attempted to double charge me absolutely horrible experience. Please save yourself The trouble and eat somewhere else.
We went to this restaurant today. The place is poorly decorated and smells weird like cheap disinfectant and everything is messy and the opposite of fancy. We ordered many things, but the Yakisoba we ordered for my kids was supposed to be without spice (they asked and we said no spice) and came very spicy, even for me. The kids were crying and complaining. We talked to the server and she didn't care, she said it's not spice, not for their standards.... So we were very disappointed. We had to go to another restaurant to feed our kids. So, the thing is, it is not easy to find a good Japanese restaurant around here, there is no fancy, sofisticated, clean enough for my standards. And I don't understand why the food has to be so spicy, Japanese, not Mexican, right? So I don't recommend Teton at all.
Look, the food is delicious. However, they advertise as a restaurant offering gluten free menu items. I have celiacs disease, and normally order the Korea Kimchi Fried Rice and have no problems. I even put in the order “GLUTEN ALLERGY. CELIACS. NO WHEAT/BARLEY/RYE PLEASE.” I understand that cross contamination can happen, but this is unacceptable and unsafe. There was an uncooked udon noodle (made from wheat) and the coating of something that looks to be fried mixed into my food after I practically ate the whole thing. Even IF I didn’t have celiacs, this is disgusting. I called and tried to talk to the phone operator and chef, and didn’t even ask for a refund, just for an explanation. Only to be asked if I had already contacted Door Dash for the refund. There was no care whatsoever shown even when I was just trying to explain how this will affect me for the next few days. I’m just sad I now can never trust their food again, and have lost such a great restaurant option.
