The Hoagie Stop Buffalo Reviews
Place is getting better and better! Tj was polite during my experience and the store had nice vibes! I ordered a #5 and i neeeeedd another one! Thanks to the owner
I didn't know what to expect being this was my first time but I have to say it was well worth the price and the drive thank you for a great Steak Sandwich 😊
Steak hoagie was so good. Definitely one of the best i ever had. Looking forward to coming back
Best Hogie I've had in a long while. Arrived via door dash blazing hot! no mistakes on food. Absolutely worth the call/ try!
Excellent Hoagies and Wings – A New Favorite! Update: Hands down, the best around! There's no changing my mind. Their food is always consistent and full of flavor! Not to mention, the deals they give. How can you beat this? You can't! The chicken hoagie and the chicken pita and onion rings are my favorite. My son ordered the Friday special (steak hoagie and wings, both BOGO) through Uber Eats, and we were thoroughly impressed! The food was fantastic. The subs are a real contender to Jim’s Steakout—generous in size, fully loaded, and seasoned to perfection. As for the wings, I’d definitely rank them in my top 3 in Buffalo. The hot rub and hot honey options, crispy and flavorful, are definitely worth trying—other places may have some competition! On Saturday, my husband and I decided to try the hoagie special for ourselves. We went with chicken this time, just to try something different, and it did not disappoint! The sub was so hearty that my half felt like a full meal (and I’m not complaining!). 😄 Highly recommend this place if you’re craving delicious hoagies and wings. Great value, great taste, and great portions!
Omg ok this was my first time here and I was absolutely blown away with the exceptional customer service and how professional and friendly they were. Now let’s get to the food, baby it is the best in town hands down. I had the steak hoagie and steak fries. Lawwd have mercy y’all gotta try it. You won’t be disappointed.
The first thing I said when we got our bag was “this is heavy”👍🏻👍🏻 we stopped in and loved the options! The west side special sounded good, but we decided to take advantage of an UberEats deal that they informed us of. It was 2 for 1 steak hoagies. I don’t use UberEats but def wanted to take advantage of a deal bc it was pretty expensive for a sandwich IMO. I downloaded the app, but for some reason I couldn’t locate the restaurant! (This was probs a tech issue on my end) The gentleman running the register honored the deal anyway which was super nice! We also got fries and they were some of the best we’ve ever had!! The fries are a must have! The hoagies were made w/ love and generous in size. This is the type of food that will put you in a trance while you eat… in a good way!! Don’t expect to do much physical activity after😂😴 They don’t have seating inside and no bathroom so it’s take-out only
My first visit to the hoagie stop ..very tasty. The good, it's awesome that we have a true Philly cheesesteak place in buffalo. Jim's and all the rest of them are kind of a poor imitation. They mix the cheese into the meat/onions/peppers instead of just slapping it on top, the way God intended. The bad. I'm not sure what is in the greater state of disrepair, the hoagie stop, or Allen Street. The ugly, unfortunately because of the construction, there's no place to sit down. And the food simply doesn't travel well. soggy fries and hoagie was a hot mess after the 15 minute ride home. But it tasted very good. Hoagie is 5/8 sub size In closing I was very excited to try this place. The young men working there are pleasant and helpful, and I look forward to a time I can visit when I can sit and eat immediately.
My Husband drove us to Buffalo from NYC on a Thursday...we got into Buffalo at 10:40 PM. We wanted something to eat, but the places we knew about closed at 10:30 PM. We sent a text to our Fam and they told us about The Hoagie Stop. The Steak n Cheese in a Pita is FIRE and the fresh cut fries are seasoned so well! This is the first take out food that I didn't have to add ANYTHING to...no salt, no ketchup no NOTHING. You just eat and Enjoy! Definitely going back to The Hoagie Stop to bring a couple of those Steak n Cheese Pitas back to NYC! And the young man who took our order was very courteous...Nothing like Great Food and Great Service!
The moment I walked in I was greeted. I Advised It was the first time I was there . I was recommend a steak and I believe sausage combo minced and diced together into a pita bread with cheese and onions . The pita bread was so soft, and the meat very fresh and hot. It came with fries, also crispy and fully cooked and Sauce with a drink. Expect to be in a food induced coma for at least 3 hours haha. The food was excellent in general. Decor was very nice. The only thing I could recommend is AC as I can see it getting hot in there in the summer.
Don’t use the photo to get an idea on the presentation. The initial presentation was great! The food looks amazing. It smells amazing! But too much salt. I’m sure it was a mistake because of the reviews. But I can only judge on what I ate. It was not busy on Friday around 4:30… service was fine. Notice I had to take meat off because it was too salty! First time I have ever thought about rinsing off a steak sub lol. It’s a shame because you can taste the flavor hiding behind the salt. I would give less than 3 stars but the salt really feels like a mistake that someone didn’t know how to fix.
I stopped in to try it out and the food was pretty pricy. I paid 15 bucks for a 8in sub. It was pretty good and they loaded it up but you can go to other sub places and get more for less. The food came out pretty quick and was hot. The parking was kinda of a mess but thats not their fault for that. I'm not too sure if I would go back, but I would say give it a try for yourself. I think the food was too expensive for what I got but to each their own.
quality has gone down in the past few years. and the past 4-5 times i’ve ordered they ALWAYS forget something. wanted to give the benefit of the doubt, but just simply not worth ordering anymore
This was a few first times for me. The first time anyone has charge me $20 for a sub. The first time I was charged extra to put mayo on it. Not the first time that I've been charged another 75 cents for steak sauce. Not the first time the two sauces you had the audacity to charge me for after gouging me in the menu item itself were forgotten. At least the wings were a decent price. Never again. Doesn't even matter how good it is, you tripped in the basic stuff. Im embarrassed for you. The inside is disgusting, too, for anyone who cares.
I am very disappointed with my food. I have ordered from you with no issues… but today not acceptable. … I got cold burnt fries and did not receive my Coke Zero or Orange Fanta…the steak was very good…but for the amount of money I paid I should have received all my order and better fries..
The hoagie had way too much of everything. It was very soggy to the point where I couldn’t even pick up my hoagie without it falling apart. I ordered extra cheese but I never received! (For sure) The wings needed a longer cook time and the mild garlic parmesan was more of a garlic butter flavor. On the positive note the staff was professional and kind from beginning to the end!!! I would give them another try but maybe with better directives.
Order via Uber eat's. Delivered to wrong place. Finally driver got it correct. Did not receive buy 1 get 1 free on order Wing's were terrible. Disappointed.
