Great wine bar. Nice selection of quality wines. Friendly and personable owner/bartender. Reasonable wine flight prices and generous pours for glasses. The tapas and Charcuterie offerings were delicious too. Check out the olive store that's connected next door.

After reading the reviews, my wife and I decided to stop in for a glass of wine. It didn't take long before we fell in love with this gem of a spot on Hertel. Justin, the owner, made great wine and food suggestions which kept us locked into a much longer evening than expected at this fine establishment. We eventually changed plans to gather our friends here to enjoy what Wine On Hertel had to offer. The wine, food, and company was the best we have had in a while. Let Justin know your preference and he will find several wines/foods that will satisfy your taste buds. Also, don't forget to check out his gourmet balsamic vinegars next door. I had no idea balsamic vinegar could taste so good. I want every flavor now!

Their wine selection is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the flight I tried. Prices are decent. The bartending service was incredible! Very attentive to every single customer the entire night. Perfect place on Hertel to have a networking business group together or a night out with the girls. Very modern with a cozy homey feeling. You'll love the venue the moment you step in.

I have been here twice now and both times were fantastic! The setting feels intimate and warm. The food is very reasonably priced and their chef is fantastic! The service is so professional and accommodating. My husband and I love going here for a date night.

Updated 7/2/2023 We have been back several times over the years and it just keeps getting better! We were in last night and had some incredible food. The wine was amazing as always. If you haven't been and you are looking for noteworthy wine and delicious food this is the place to go. Can't wait to go back!! What a great find! Can't wait to go back, this will be our new spot. We had a couple of glasses of wine that was recommended by the bartender Pete - He was spot on! The wine selection was simple but high quality, something for everyone. Nice beer selection for the non wine drinker. The atmosphere of the venue was cozy and welcoming. The outdoor area was not open due to the cold but that looked cute as well. We will definitely be back and can't wait for the warm weather to sit on the patio.

Stopped in on a Saturday evening looking for a relaxed atmosphere and couldn’t have been happier with Wine on Hertel. The owner Justin is so welcoming and was happy to recommend a great wine for my taste. Our group had a great time sitting, talking and drinking. The prices are very reasonable for the high quality wine he has. We even got a bottle to take home. Wish we lived closer so we could come here more often!

With so many good dining options in Buffalo, Wine on Hertel is definitely among the best! This was our second time eating there and it will definitely become a regular dining spot for us. Justin is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in pairing wines with your food choices. There is also plenty of other beverages to choose from for non-wine drinkers. The menu is amazing, not overwhelming, and are smaller (and inexpensive) plates for sharing and/or trying multiple dishes. We will be returning often… and bringing friends/family!

Unplanned, a friend and I stopped in the wine bar on our walk down Hertel. The place was so warm inviting we ordered a sparkling water and sat on the patio calling our friends to join us. Then, we enjoyed a nicely priced bottle of wine on comfortable seating and with gracious service. We appreciated the attention to design details and the cool music at a level to enjoy and still have a conversation. We'll be back.
