Great little coffee house by the zoo. Excellent scones, cookies, breakfast sandwich was solid just a touch small. Hot chocolate was the real deal: The way Mom used to make. Still going strong.

JAM is my favorite coffee shop in Buffalo. Everyone that works there is really friendly and everything I've tried has been fantastic. They have a good offering of drinks, and do pourovers if you're into that as well. Recently they did a puzzle night that was really cute and fun, so try to catch one of those if you can! It's also in a great area if you have kids (I don't, but it's near a children's bookstore and the zoo). Great place!

I did the cherry amaretto and she did the peanut butter latte both were amazing... The service was great! Grab a cup from here and find a bench in the Delaware park nearby to spend your Saturday evenings :) or you could do the Martin house tour if you're into architecture..

Cute little place & a great place to work for a few hours in the AM. Had the blueberry scone and a hot vanilla latte. Scone was a good mix tart from the blueberries & sweet from the glaze. Latte was yummy too!

Stopped in and got a peach melba muffin and a chai latte iced tea before doing a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright house down the street. Both items were great, glad I stopped by.

Excellent little java joint across the street from the Buffalo Zoo. Delicious coffee and a small but delicious selection of baked breakfast fare. Had the vegan cheddar & chive scone with a cranberry chutney turnover; both fresh and tasty. Sidewalk dining is an option as well. Added bonus; Bob Dylan's hits playing through the speakers.

M

love the fun holiday lattes and the delicious toast

H

A small, cozy joint. They carry locally roasted Tipico beans and serve a wide variety of coffee, milk drinks, and tea. Paintings on the walls keep the modern vibe from feeling too clinical which is often the unintended side effect of neutral colors and strong lighting. Do not leave JAM Parkside without having some toast with jam, it's in the name after all. Highly recommend after a trip to the zoo or the nearby history museum.

T

Cute cafe, reasonably comfortable for the modern style (what happened to cozy couches). Coffee was good. They do some baking so it smelled just wonderful in there.

M

The pastries are AMAZING!!!! The best around, the baker is so nice and friendly. You have to try the jam pop tarts or the scones they are to die for! Highly recommend

Nice little corner spot coffee spot. Was looking for the special homemade poptarts but realized they're only sold on Saturdays. Good coffee and friendly staff. Not to mention really beautiful artwork hung inside the entire resturant.

This is a really nice little place. Very cozy, food and coffee were good. Service was top notch. The barisya was very friendly. It was a nice place to spend an hour drinking and having a cup of coffee. If I had any small complaint it would be that the chairs aren't really comfortable, but that's splitting the finest of hairs. It's a very nice local café. I'd recommend it to anyone who was in the area

My server was Jamie and she sets the peacefull , happy tone with her service. Their coffee tastes fantastic. I loved it. I will return to write and draw as the atmosphere is calm. The music is there but mid range allowing for conversation and inner peace. There is a book exchange in the back and the bathrooms are clean. Thanks Jam for this space.

First of all my husband and I live Down the street which I am so grateful for. It’s great to have a walk to Cafe in the neighborhood. We are big Latte people and Jam does it right! The Barista’s are trained well and make them very well. Hot and rich. The sausage breakfast sandwich is good size and fresh. Also fair price. Good Vibes. Good Music 🎶

To think I almost went to another coffee shop! This place is beyond delightful and has great food and drink. The atmosphere is perfect and inviting even beyond the gorgeous sunshine I could have sat outside in. The barista was flexible when I saw a flavor I decided I had to have and switched gears easily. I'm a happy girl! 💜

Yo, this place is great. The pastry chef is a winner. Whatever coffee cake muffin cardamom thing I just ate was fire! The cold brew was on point. I frequent this cafe quite often, being that I live within walking distance. I usually come for the delicious baked goods and the friendly staff. I don't know why it has taken me so long to leave a review. I have been coming to JAM for years as I live in the neighborhood. Everything from the food, service, and atmosphere screams artsy and kind Buffalo. I love the different seasonal flavors they try and baked goods, but even just a plain latte or cup of coffee is great. Their staff are always kind, welcoming, and quick even during busy days. I am pretty much a weekly patron of JAM for the last nearly 5 years and I don't see that stopping anytime soon.

Cool little coffee shop off of Delaware park. Stopped in for a coffee and ended up picking the special (s'mores latte) the staff person was super friendly and the location is really cute. The coffee was a little muddled but that could simply have been because I ordered something with too many flavors. Otherwise is was prepared really well and the barista seemed to know here stuff. Also ordered a breakfast sandwich and was a bit disappointed to see it appears to be a whole premade "patty" that is just reheated. Overall like a 3.5/5 but that barista was so friendly it gets it to 4/5.

Before you even walk into this place conveniently located across the Buffalo Zoo, there is a dog bowl filled with water for your fur baby to get their thirst quenched! That right there just brightened up our day right away. This beautiful little gem of a café that offers a cozy and comfortable atmosphere to start the day has nice seating to allow you to people watch, enjoy the company of the person in front of you where it isn’t too loud or too quiet, or get some quiet studying in. For what this place is, I didn’t expect the basic breakfast sandwich to be prepared to such good perfection. Soft bread, egg and even the sausage was juicy. However, I just wish the menu was slightly larger and offered a bit more.

The atmosphere at this corner coffee cafe was pleasant and welcoming. I was charmed by how good the coffee was and how friendly the barista was to me. It had indoor and outdoor seating. A nice little place to stop by if your going to the Zoo.

The mocha was good. It had just enough sweetness to cut the bitterness, but the foam had a lot of bubbles in it making the micro foam not very smooth. Great location and atmosphere!

I love this coffee shop. It's a delight to walk to, and in a great location. The staff is friendly and kind. The lattes are hit or miss for me. I find some baristas make the specialty coffees too sweet so I usually ask for half the amount of syrup. The vegan energy bites are tasty and filling. Their yogurt parfaits are great, and the breakfast sandwiches are pretty good too. It’s directly across from the zoo and a few steps away from Alice Ever After ( a must visit bookstore). Sometimes because of the location it can get noisy with a full house or a lot of kids. If noise gets overstimulating, bring some noise canceling ear buds. Overall, I love this place. I walk here often and enjoy reading inside or outside with a coffee.

B
Buffalo Gamer77

My dad loves the coffee here, and I took him here recently. He had the endless coffee, and I had a green tea with honey with a blueberry scone. I'm not a fan of the green tea they use here. It's Numi brand gun powder green tea. I have purchased this before at Whole Foods, and I wasn't a fan of it. The blueberry scone was really good, and I would definitely get it again. It wasn't hard like most scones. The middle was on the softer side and the blueberries were mixed well. The service was friendly and patient. They do have fresh made baked good such as cookies, muffins, and scones. Also, they have breakfast sandwiches. I'd recommend stopping and giving them a try.

N
Natalie Picarazzi

This place has the opportunity to be way better and way cooler than it is. Don’t order the breakfast sandwich, they microwave them. The pastry’s are excellent and the coffee is good, and the service is great. But they should have more jam band decorations and have more board games and AN ACTUAL COOK making sandwiches. Great spot with good coffee and pastries but that’s it

A
Ashley AuPont

The interior decor is cool as the local art and the lighting aids the feel too. The poptarts are yummy.

M

I may have rated this coffee shop once before, but I still like it! It's difficult to find parking, but the coffee is so worth it! The scones are huge and they generally have one that's either seasonal or a special of the week. I love the Americano and any of the coffee drinks that have espresso in them.

J

Nice spot with a few spots to work and meet up. Coffee is better than Starbucks but not my favorite. Friendly employees. Atmosphere is a little cold but still a nice place to stop if nearby

E

Inconsistent. I got the best fall latte Ive ever had to the worst latte i have ever had in the same week. The second time was during a rush so i waited 15 minutes for a hot latte that wasn't mixed up and luke warm.

Stopped by after visiting the Martin House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright that’s a few blocks away. Drip coffee waa served in a mug and freshly brewed for me. My wife and I ordered a blueberry maple cinnamon scone that lacked the scone texture we expected but was sweet. We also ordered a cinnamon knot that was not fully baked.

It is a coffee shop serving coffee and not much else. Happy to see the space being reused, but the offerings are very limited. The baked goods container had like two options. Think coffee and toast.

Quiet space for working and café-ing / quiet and efficient staff / serving tipico roasted beans / kinda stuffy with direct daylight / wifi / street parking / light eats

J
James Everett

Stopped in a few times as I’m originally from this neighborhood. The coffee is excellent (Tipico coffee) and the staff is friendly but seem inexperienced. The food menu is dull and there was an old piece of toast in the pastry case. When I asked about it, the barista told me it’s “display toast.” Displaying an old dry piece of toast will not sell it, I assure you. Sorry to whoever came up with that, but it’s dumb. Couldn’t help but notice the lack of diversity in the staff too. Zero people of color working at this business. Red flag. I’d rather go to Tipico.

d
david lindley

It's got a good rep so I was excited to go. But I found it... disappointing. It had a flat atmosphere, didn't feel particularly friendly and the coffee was only okay, IMHO.

B

New Butter Caramel tastes pretty bad— wasn’t getting any notes of either, tasted burnt and left a pretty bad aftertaste. Otherwise I have typically enjoyed their caramel lattes

N
Nathan Cefaratti

This place is just fine. Seems like “baristas” can’t make a good espresso drink. It’s always been a cool location, but the coffee has gone downhill. Staff is hit or miss and the last time I was in I waited 15 minutes plus for a cappuccino and hot chocolate with 4 people working and only a pair of drinks ahead of me. Staff was super inattentive to everything but their own conversation. You want your coffee shop to be good with the details or why would we go. I am sure I will be back because of where it is, but I will likely hold off on the tip next time.

R
Rachel Orton

I've never understood the hype. It's the only coffee shop in the neighborhood so I'm a patron, but nothing's great. Pastries are hit or miss and there's not much food to choose from. Don't bother calling to ask if they're sold out of something because no one answers and it's frustrating that there's no way to order ahead.

Don't bother calling to ask if they're sold out of something because no one answers and it's frustrating that there's no way to order ahead.

New Butter Caramel tastes pretty bad— wasn’t getting any notes of either, tasted burnt and left a pretty bad aftertaste. Otherwise I have typically enjoyed their caramel lattes

Location and inside is very cool. I like the idea of grabbing a drink before walking the park. I have been here about a dozen times and my drink order was decent less than half of those times. I usually order a latte or mocha. For the price of the drink, the quality should be more consistent. The last time there, I ordered a peppermint mocha which came to $6 and I tipped a dollar. It was about 95% luke warm milk and contained no peppermint.

Pastry options are decent. They are a slight upgrade from Tim Hortons. The toast options are good. The coffee on the other hand is weak. The coffee beans are stale as the final product barely tastes like coffee. All you can taste is milk.

Came in to purchase this past Saturday 4/18/2020 and josh was welcoming but the baker-Monica, tried to deter me and my sister from purchasing anything, the store was sold out and the second batch was cooling in preparation for serving and josh advised we could still purchase but again every effort he gave at being pleasant and welcoming the baker was rude and gave many subtle hints we weren’t welcomed when we had masks and were using the preferred method of payment which was Apple Pay sad to say we will not return and patronize a business that showed we weren’t welcomed and our money was not good enough for a tart but shouts out to josh with the beard!!!
