I went for breakfast three days while I was on vacation and the service was excellent. The coffee was delicious and the food was good too. There was a fair amount of train traffic and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The place was very quiet.

Tobacconist's bar at Cairo San Giuseppe station, a beautiful bar where you can also have lunch with a budget menu, a huge selection of brioches, filled focaccias, sandwiches, etc., etc., very kind and friendly staff.... open from very early in the morning until evening.... if you pass by, stop by for a coffee or an aperitif, it's worth it.

I LOVE this bar, hands down. The girls are super fast and friendly, everything's clean and tidy, they have everything under control, and they're always kind, even to the annoying, annoying people in the morning who are in a hurry and ask you six things in six sessions. This morning I was served by a beautiful, super-kind brunette who, at 7 in the morning, looked like Anne Hathaway on her best days. The convenience of always finding it open when I pass by on the train, compared to the squalid, third-world Cairo station, San Giuseppe is heaven. There are also public restrooms and a waiting room. The station buffet is open and functional.
