What Customers Say About Rumors
Rumors is a popular spot for AYCE sushi, praised for fresh fish and friendly, attentive service, especially from James. The atmosphere is comfortable but not fancy. Some find parking difficult and dislike the two-roll limit per round for AYCE.

Rumors Calimesa Reviews
Went for an early dinner and arrived before the dinner rush! Our server was absolutely incredible, very attentive and friendly! We did the all you can eat sushi which is the best way to go!! Overall an extremely wonderful experience and can’t wait to go back!
Food and service was excellent! Will definitely be returning.
I discovered this restaurant a couple years ago and it has been my go-to sushi spot for ayce. This place is typically always packed during their lunch and dinner rush. But, if you managed to time your arrival to be right when they open in the morning or came back from their lunch break, you may be greeted to a no wait welcome. I recently tried out their new location in Yucaipa and was quite disappointed so I had to come back to my comfort spot at the Calimesa location. This spot has consistently proven that the original location is always better, not only is their food quality higher, their service is noticeably better. My dad and I decided to order al la carte for once since we weren’t extremely hungry but usually the ayce is about $35 per person. Personally, I’ve been enjoying their new menu items such as the TNT and SOS roll, both because they are deep fried in tempura batter and because the flavors are well balanced. We also ordered the American Dream which is a mix between a Californian roll and a Dragon roll, both my dad’s favorite and the 9 pc assorted sashimi. All the rolls were delicious and the portions were worth the price, the sashimi cuts were large and fresh. I always enjoy my visit to this restaurant and will continue to come back.
Great service. Friendly, attentive staff and great decor. Sushi is good and decent priced with rolls ranging from $10-$15. Everybody got something different and enjoyed their food. I got the crunch roll and I just wish it had more eel sauce. A great place for a casual meal or special occasion. A hidden gem.
This establishment offers a remarkable all-you-can-eat dining experience. The staff members are incredibly welcoming and attentive to their guests. The food is fresh, flavorful, and offers a wide variety to satisfy any palate. The atmosphere is pleasant and inviting They do get busy! But it a ideal location for a casual meal or special occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking delicious food and excellent service.
Amazing!! This is definitely a 5 Star sushi restaurant! All the food my wife and I ordered was delicious! Service was excellent for busy peak time (Friday 7pm). Server was attentive and really nice. I recommend this place without a doubt! If you don’t like the seaweed in the sushi rolls you can order it in rice paper or soy for an extra $1.
Great experience.... There was 5 of us that got the all you can eat, ended up ordering way over the amount of the $25 per person. We are pretty hungry... we each got a miso soup and shared five appetizers and a roughly 11 rolls. The only two rolls that none of us cared for were the last 2 we ordered that were baked, one with baby shrimp on top and one with scallops on top. The one with the baby shrimps didn't have much flavor, and because they were covered by crunchies they didn't actually get caramelized and have that little bit of charbroiled flavor on them. The one with the scallops was pretty much the same however, it also had a creamy white sauce that tasted like it was all watered down mayonnaise. Otherwise, it was a great dinner and we'll definitely be back. Great atmosphere as well and all the staff that were there were really nice.
We ordered Red Dragon Rolls, Spicy Tuna with Salmon Nigiri combination and Beef Teriyaki Bento 🍱 Tastes so good 😋 Highly recommend if you like the Asia Food. Also they have a good vibe. Service is great as well.
The one with a pink wrap was the Forever 21. The one on the brown plate was the Special Calamari. The one wrapped with foil was the Salmon lover. All 3 were very good. If you like an extra fish taste then you definitely gotta try their Salmon lover. Service was good but we did beat the lunch rush hour on a Sunday. Place was pretty packed by the time we left but with good reason
This is a hidden gem in the area and a great all you can eat sushi location! The service is fantastic and the servers are very attentive. Our favorite roll is the New Mexico roll. And the bento box (only served during lunch) is always a good options- as you’re able to have a variety! Plus, the restaurant is clean and cutely decorated!
The rolls were delicious and the staff was very nice. Dinner was $29.50 which starts at 4pm. We had arrived at 2:15pm and the waitress was gracious enough to let us know that we would only have 15 mins to eat because restaurant closes at 2:30pm. They have a lunch special until 2:30 pm for $24.50. We decided to go back for dinner hours and it was worth it.
Loved the sushi at this particular establishment since it was buffet selection. Parking is somewhat difficult at this popular restaurant. Inside atmosphere was average looking not much of a wow factor but comfortable to sit, eat and talk amongst yourselves. Waitresses were on the ball when it came to service, friendliness and helpfulness.
Super friendly service ,great sushi and Sapporo beers, half of the names on the rolls I can’t remember, I guess that’s how good the beer is, definitely coming back soon to try something different

Big space with good table distance. We had AYCE for $34.99 per person. Seaweed and cucumber salad are included but not on the menu. Fresh fish. Not a lot of rice. Will go back again.
Really good sushi house, the fish was fresh and delicious. The servers were not very attentive, but not so much so that it made it a bad experience. Just maybe if they had more clearly defined roles. Like this person was getting the drinks, this person picked up your order, etc. We kept having people come to the table and ask the same thing as someone else just asked. But in my opinion that isnt always a bad thing.
Novice Sushi adventurer - ordered the all-you-can-eat $35 and enjoyed the variety. Excellent service and friendly atmosphere. We will be back.
Great selection for all you can eat for okay price. Not a fan of their rule with only 2 rolls per person per round. Also wish they had a deal like Sushi Okoku and Taiyos Sushi, two popular spots in Riverside, where rolls are 50% off when you order to go as they would probably get a lot more business if they did. Overall good spot with great quality and service.

Love the umbrellas on the ceiling. Staff were friendly. Nigiri portions address bigger than most sushi places around the area. Lots of edamame was served. I didn't like the jalepeno bomb. It tasted more like a green bell pepper. The shrimp tempura tasted like it was fried in old oil.

First time : it met my expectations after reading the reviews. Not outstanding but ok standard. What I liked most is their advocacy for not wasting food. The all-you-can-eat (AYCE) menu is carefully selected (not all listed menu) and it doesn’t include sashimi. The rolls are filled with cheaper ingredients that are filling. One thing to note is that the shrimp tempura wasn’t fresh ( batter was not right, refried) . I could do without the heavy mayo sauce on the rolls but I guess it was an adaptation for local customers . My favorite dish was the red skin roll without the rice, and the service was impeccable. Next time I would just order from menu for better quality fish and not the AYCE. Second trip - I ordered sashimi assortment, good portion. I would recommend it- it is a la cart, just right for sashimi lover.

I heard this is THE spot for sushi in town so thought I’d give it a try. Came in for lunch, was pretty empty so our food came out fast and our server was great. Ordered sashimi: Yellowtail, tuna, “red snapper”. Wasn’t red snapper. It was the frozen tilapia. How do I know this? Because I’ve broken down so many fresh red snappers. Even my profile picture is fresh golden eye snapper. The baked mussels were ok. 1 piece that I ate wasn’t cut from the shell which made it annoying to eat. The hot Cheetos roll was recommended by our server. Ate 1 piece, it was fine. This restaurant has good sushi chefs. I can tell by the cuts of the fish, the plating, the rolling, and the small details like using beets instead of daikon. The servers are attentive and courteous. Checked on us multiple times. Very good service. The owner is the main culprit here. From the dirty freshwater fish tank in the front to the “red snapper” and “white tuna” on the menu. They’re serving you tilapia and escolar. The only fresh fish here are the ones in the fish tank when you walk in. Maybe $30 to $50 per person (according to google) for all frozen fish isn’t my cup of tea. If it’s yours, great. Here’s your sushi spot. TL;DR if you’re going to pay for frozen fish, they have much better tasting sushi at Stater Bros where it’s half the price and you don’t have to tip or wait.

Honestly don’t bother the sushi is not good. Not fresh, all the rolls taste the same, the crunchy roll was not crunchy it was soggy. I have tried this place a few times… won’t be going back.
This place disappointed 😞 we went for my uncle's birthday and it was not good they took a while to bring out the food for every one the crunchy roll was not crunchy at all they should of called it the sponge roll the Alaska roll was small and all the rolls rice were horrible it was like they soked it water for 7 hours and served it the all you can eat was complicated to order and if you hate spice but want to try wasobi go here cause there is no spice and worst of all there was no cheaters for the chopsticks like what!! What sushi place doesn't give out cheaters come on iam sooooo disappointed also there was a bad smell this place sucks.
