So I went in for the Monday special where any order of a whole chicken gets you an additional half. I think there was some miscommunication on my order as I only really wanted to the chicken and not the combo, but it wasn't a big deal. I could not BELIEVE how much food I got, this could feed a family of 5-6 easily. The chicken was incredible and the sides of rice and beans were on point. And a stack, thats right a stack of tortillas I didn't even realize would be included and the sheer amount of chicken was insane. While I did not want the combo I am not going to complain about it now. Please support this spot, its incredible!

The chicken bowl is incredibly good. It features lots of vegetables rice, and their amazing chicken. They don’t skimp on things like avocado, either. The portion size is huge, too, and sometimes makes two meals. Overall, this is my favorite quick service restaurant in the area.

Don’t sleep on the Monday and Wednesday meal deal! $30 for a whole and half chicken, tortillas, salsas, and two sides which for us was refried beans and Mexican rice. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. Very happy to have this in the neighborhood to keep us fed on some busy weeknights!

BEST charbroiled Adobo chicken in Chicago!!! Well seasoned chicken and great salsas. We got the combo that came with rice and beans which were great! Also like the fact that they give tortilla with the combo. Will definitely be coming back to this spot!! Staff is super friendly as well!!

After so many different restaurants in this space, this place is the real deal!! Got a half chicken combo with Mexican rice and charro beans and it was delicious. The chicken by itself is already very tasty, but then plus the salsas, pickled red onions, and grilled green onions… amazing! Will definitely be back. Great addition to the neighborhood!

A very welcome addition to the neighborhood! I've had it twice, mix burrito and 1/4 chicken dark and then a 1/2 chicken combo. The burrito was solid, but the chicken is the star of the show. The Mexican rice and charro bean side plus the tortillas, charred peppers, and salsas all combine well with the chicken for an excellent meal or 2 with leftovers.

Pollo Express from Pilsen is now in Ravenswood and I'm so excited this is in our neighborhood! Their chicken is seriously great, the service is friendly, and the wait was not long at all. Go go go support this small business and enjoy their delicious chicken!! 🍗🌮👌🏼

As a longtime fan of the 18th Street location, I was overjoyed to learn that they were opening a location closer to my house. Pollo Express does not disappoint. It’s family owned and operated, and I assure you that will not go unnoticed when you enter the restaurant. The friendly staff, the clean establishment, the freshness and quality of the food, all Hallmark’s have a well run family establishment. Pride. And the should be proud. ♥️ I’m fortunate to have gotten to know Lorena and her family over the past 15 years. I can tell you, Ravenswood is getting a wonderful new neighbor. You’ll also be seeing a lot more of me!

Finally got a chance to visit this place, always walk by it on my way to work. I have to say the food is very good although missing a bit of seasoning for my taste, i didnt know they had a location closer to me on 18th st, now i can go when im home from work. Portion sizes are very big but so worth it. Paid $23 for the mix bowl a large horchata (plus 3% for card purchase) so i would say bring cash to avoid that fee. Will be back to try other things

The best part was no doubt the tender, juicy, and smoky grilled chicken. Charro bean had good flavors but was a bit too watery. Mexican rice was bland and forgettable.

Usually they are good. Today's doordash order was not up to my expectations. Chicken was definitely on small side. Food arrived cold. And 12 dollars is a lot to drop on guac.
