Ricarepa Concordia Reviews
I've never had this good of a food before! I had "The Bomb Burger" filled with so many different flavors and it's just amazing. The atmosphere here was incredible as well. The food really feels like it's made with care and love and the wait time is very little. This is a great place for a date or bringing your family for a great meal! I enjoyed it so much! You will too!
Great restaraunt! Food was very tasty. Definitely want to go back and try so much more of the menu. Also, they had margaritas on happy hour!
Love having places like this in the neighborhood! I have been twice for arepas and enjoyed the food both times. The stew they have on weekends looks great, too. I want to come back and try that. Plenty of seating here thanks for a back patio (heated in the winter).
The food here was well seasoned. I tried the fried chicken and fries. Delicious! And big portions too. I couldn't finish my meal. Its a big space with an indoor patio which is nice. Just wish the tables in the patio had a table cloth or something because they had the holes for outside furniture. I throughly enjoyed my food and would go again. Highly recommended.
Can't wait to go back! I was seeing a play at the Athenaeum Theater and needed a quick bite and popped in. I was greeted super warmly by the very friendly woman behind the bar. Since I was in a hurry I didn't fully scan the entire menu, but I have absolutely no regrets about my Patacon Mixto that I spontaneously ordered - it was SO good and very filling. I was there during happy hour and decided to get a $6 Margarita which was delicious as well. I'm salivating thinking about the meal now - can't recommend this cute spot enough.
Great atmosphere. Delicious food. Friendly and warm service. I have tried many times the cachapas, tequeños, cochino frito, arepas and empanadas, everything I have tried is delicious and authentic Venezuelan flavours. Generous portions. Lovely Venezuelan vibe and music. Patio and deco are beautiful 🫓
Gooooood Lord! This a local restaurant with 3 locations. I've only been to this one but damn the arepas were phenomenal!!!! I would eat here daily if I could. Defs more than worth the visit. Great staff and environment. No issues, staff speaks Spanish and English. Plenty indoor seating and some outdoor seating. GOOOO check it out!
This unassuming restaurant on Lincoln is whipping up outstanding Venezuelan food. Thrilled to now be familiar with their Arepa game. Ordered takeout on a Wednesday and the pickup was a breeze. Tried the La Parrillellera Arepa which was an absolute home run. This thing was oozing with juices but the exterior held it together well. So much flavor from the chicken, chorizo, steak, avocado and cheese. Also tried a fish empanada and while the exterior was exceptional, the fish filling wasn’t my favorite. Will try a different empanada next time. Rica Arepa is convenient, delicious and reasonably priced. 100% worth your money.
We happened to stumble across this place while in the area, but it is well worth it to make a trip! The vibes were immaculate, tons of families enjoying themselves and a few celebrating special occasions. But the real star of the show here is the food. The empanadas are the best I’ve ever had, and the arepas are massive with really high quality ingredients. I can’t wait to come back!
Good service, great food. The restaurant wad a little empty on a Sunday afternoon but the two outdoor table was filled. Portion sizes were perfect. The sampler platter is really for 2 people as there's only 2 of everything. The arepas are stuffed full, they are not small at all. The Rica Arepa is a staple, the shredded beef and chicken are tender and the shredded cheese is nice and moist. The garlic sauce at the table is very strong but not overpowering, same with the hot sauce, it's spicy but there's still more flavor than spice. The fried sweet plantains are soooooo good. $6 margaritas everyday from 4-7pm
I enjoyed the Arepa with sirloin and homemade cheese (Punta Trasera & Queso De Mano), while the Rica Arepa tasted a bit dry towards the end with the pulled meat at the end. The grilled chicken with mushrooms was a delight, and all the appetizers, like Tequenos and Cachapitas Con Queso, were superb. We rounded off our meal with tequenos drizzled in Nutella, which, while delicious, felt a touch too indulgent. We visited the restaurant around 7:30 pm on a Friday and it was very busy. While there are plenty of seatings available, but do anticipate a wait for your food during peak hours.
Rica Arepa is our go-to spot for a delightful brunch! The range of natural juices is impressive, and each one is a refreshing treat. The arepas are pure doughy bliss, and the shredded pork is an absolute masterpiece! The plantains, beans, and crumbly cheese create a symphony of flavors that leave us coming back for more. I recommend the criollo brunch! One of the best surprises is their enclosed back patio area - it's a cozy oasis that adds an extra layer of charm to the experience. And in the summer, when the front opens up, it's like dining in paradise. I can't recommend Rica Arepa enough for anyone craving an authentic taste of Venezuela. Don't miss out!
The food and service is phenomenal. I come from Caracas, VE and it’s been years since I tasted Venezuelan food that was authentic. It feels like it was cooked by my mother. We ordered tequeños to start, pepito bomba, arepa la parillera and patacón as our main dish, and a tres leches to finish. Everything was so delicious and had so much flavor. Very amazing experience and service by Rafael.
It's great street food and it's naturally gluten free. They have a vegetarian section of the menu with 3 vegan options. A noticeable number of the black beans had burst which means that they are being cooked aggressively or too long and their flavor was meh. Normally you would simmer them with sofrito or a stock but these weren't and I'm not even sure they were salted. Overall the sandwich was really good especially with the garlic sauce. It's what you would expect for street food, an amazingly flavorful topping covering something prepared quickly. I likely come back again.
Pros: great and fresh ingredients. Generous portions and welcoming customer service. Cons: Food preparation can take an unusually long waiting time: we waited 45+ minutes for 2 arepas and an empanada. Price is a bit steep: arepas sell between $14 and $17 per unit (plus T&T) so a simple arepa dinner for 2 can easily reach $50, plus parking fees.
I ordered food for delivery and it entirely disappointed. As a Venezuelan national, I was craving my home country’s food. I ordered mini cachapas , mini arepas and tequenos. The mini cachapas were WAY too salty. The mini arepas were wonderful but the cheese that it’s used is extremely salty as well and it ruins them and the tequenos had an odd flavor to them. I also ordered a tres leches cake and it tasted like diluted (with water) milk. It was probably the worst Venezuelan food I’ve had around the globe. The beef was delicious though so there’s that.
