Cambria Cafe is an absolute gem! The place is beautiful, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The service was excellent—everyone was so friendly and attentive from start to finish. And the food? Outstanding! Every bite was flavorful and clearly made with care. I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area, you won’t be disappointed!

Excellent salad. I think it was called a taco salad, but no fried tortilla shell, which is a plus in my book. Think Santa Fe salad without roasted peppers. Chicken was grilled to perfection.

One of the best Mediterranean food I've ever eaten!!! I've been to a bunch of Mediterranean restaurants in the South Bay area, but never would have imagined that I'd find this hidden gem in Cambria 😊 great food, great service, would highly recommend! Their lamb chop is to die for!

Lovely family run place. When you walk in the decor takes you back about 20 years and you feel instantly comforted by the wooden seats and old menus on the wall. We came in at 2 and were starving after doing the Castle and seals etc... The brother and sister team took care of us and we had some delicious classic Mexican enchiladas . We also had the chicken fingers which tasted like peppery southern fried chicken, yummy.

Christen was an amazing host. We brought in our kids and she went out of her way to tend to them, bringing a whopping free serving of rice and a free cheese bourak so everyone could try. The food was refreshing and nourishing. When we visit Cambria again we'll be sure to stop here.

Cannot recommend this cafe enough!! Cambria Cafe filled our bellies with great Mediterranean food after a few long days of travel eating horrible food at tourist traps (so we were very hungry for a filling meal). We ordered an appetizer (vegetarian plater) two entrees (lamb and beef kebab), and dessert (baklava). Everything was delicious, flavorful, and made with high quality ingredients. We’ve eaten lots of Mediterranean in SF but this place was a step above everything I’ve ever tried. Each part of our meal was seasoned to perfection and clearly had a lot of love poured into the meal. Will definitely be returning for the lamb kebab platter and falafel. The food was so good we didn’t even get a good picture before it was devoured! Go support this phenomenal small business 😊

Definitely one of the best places in Cambria for breakfast. Everytime I've gone I've been really impressed. The French toast, breakfast burritos, and chilaquiles are my favorites.

The falafel I had here is one of the best falafels I’ve ever had. Also the lamb kebab was so flavorful. Loved it!

We were here around 5:00pm for a local camping trip and famous Cambria lights show. The food was great! I ordered fish fillets paired with a glass of chardonnay. It was delicious! I give 5 stars for the service! My daughter was not feeling well. The host provided some bread with honey for her and told her a joke to cheer her up. I can tell he cares his guests. My dog got treats too! What a sweet night!

A wonderfully delicious option disguised as an ordinary cafe. Lucky for us, we wanted a late breakfast and assumed a cafe would be the best option for that. We were surprised to find incredibly delicious clam chowder and carne asada. The carne asada was on the steak ranchero omelette, but gave us a clue that their Mexican fare would be pretty delicious. The omelette was pretty great, so back to that. The hash browns were cooked perfectly as well. I always as for hash browns well done and most places don’t get that part right, but they did here. As for my choice, I went with clam chowder and a 1/2 order of biscuits and gravy. Clam holder was some of the best I have ever had and the best from a cafe. Biscuits and gravy was good, but just that. Not anything I have to try again, but hit the spot. Service was great and didn’t skip a beat considering outside dining and having a dog with us. Refilled our coffees often and brought us all the condiments we needed. Definitely a place we will patron again and again when in the area.

Wow, the food here is incredible!! I had the eggs benedict with potatoes and its seriously some of the best I've had. The egg was poached perfectly. My husband had the machaca and it was amazing too. Great coffee, great salsa, great pancakes. The service was quick too! Would highly recommend.

What a great new addition to the restaurant options available in Cambria. We all enjoyed our food, a lil pricey but every place is pricey in Cambria.. beats having to cook ! The birthday girl was served a slice of cake topped w honey and pistachios ~ on the house, that was very nice!

Raphael, from Syria, is a wonderful host, and served us food prepared so amazingly. I was eating foods I don't usually eat, to the last bite! Delicious Mediterranean food. Totally recommended.

Great restaurant in downtown Cambria! New owners (6 mos.) are always there and very nice people. I was there for lunch and had the Birria Tacos...EXCELLENT! Lots of meat...tasty consomme for dipping. Menu has a great selection of both Mexican and American food. Good selection of sandwiches and burgers along with the south of the border choices. They also serve beer and wine. Next time I want to go in for breakfast. Y'all need to support this local food spot and the friendly local couple who own it!

I've been to Cambria quite a few times, but this was my first visit to Cambria Cafe. I got the chicken tostada and it was VERY good. It even came with rice and beans. I would have been happier if the beans were whole beans, to be healthier, but other than that, it was good!!!

I am a local and I always eat here. The price is very good compared to other restaurant in the area. Also the food is made fresh. The clam chower is not canned they make it there.

We stopped in the cute little town of Cambria before heading north to San Fran. This restaurant was delicious and I would highly recommend it. I had the Chicken Shawarma plate and it was really good. My sister had the Falafel plate and ate the whole thing too. The server was very nice but you could tell he was busy as he was the only one for about 4 tables. We highly recommend this restaurant if you end up in this cute area!

What a delightful surprise in Cambria! This restaurant far exceeded my expectations in all aspects! This restaurant makes better food then other Mexican and dinner food I have been to around the United States. The children love the food here as well. There is parking but it can be tight, but the best thing to do is park down the road which is not a long walk. The staff is very nice and helpful which is a plus.

The food was absolutely incredible and Moussa was so amazing. He was so kind, he had answers for every question we had, he had suggestions (which were all remarkably good) and he really made our night. Without a doubt this is the best Mediterranean food that I’ve had and if I am in the area again, I will definitely be returning.

A Cambrian Gem! The Cambria Cafe is downtown, great atmosphere, excellent service and fantastic food. The chicken fried steak is homemade and delicious! Great variety and selection. Again do yourself a flavor favor, visit Antonio at the Cambria Cafe, downtown Cambria. 2 thumbs up and 10 stars!

We met the owner who was working at another restaurant in the evenings. We learned of his new restaurant ownership and came for breakfast. I enjoyed the Cambria Scramble which was pork chorizo scrambled with onions, served with hash browns and toast. My husband had his standard soft scrambled eggs and pancakes. Simple but tasty he said. Mine was delicious and served hot! The atmosphere pleasing, clean and friendly staff! Thank you for getting us off to a good start this morning. We wish you all the success for your future!

Had an absolutely delightful experience! They kept their shop open for us even tho they were closing, we don’t eat meat and they made adjustments for us, introduced to their incredible homemade sauce made by the owner (fiery and delicious), were so gracious and kind, and the food was beyond amazing. I’ll never forget this place and will be back in the future. Thank you Antonio, you were a superstar!

It used to be a Mediterranean spot, but a few months ago they switched over to a Mexican-American café, and the change has been such a good one. Just a heads up — most of the older photos on here don’t reflect what they’re serving now, so don’t let that throw you off. I had the Denver omelette and honestly, it was one of the best I’ve had in a long time. Super flavorful, perfectly cooked. The hash browns were just how I like them — crispy on the outside, soft inside. I ate them so fast I didn’t even get a chance to take a photo (no regrets). The place itself has a super cozy, homey vibe — kind of like a little casita — and they had Banda music playing, which really brought the whole experience together. It just felt good being there. My wife tried the cranberry mimosa, and it was spot on — sweet but not too much, with champagne from San Antonio that gave it a nice touch. We split the French toast at the end, and it was the perfect way to finish — warm, soft, and just sweet enough. We left full and happy. Definitely coming back.

UPDATE - was in town 1 year after my initial visit. Ordered the falafel plate again to see if it was as good as before. It absolutely was! My husband said it was the best falafel he'd ever had. The salad and hummus sides were also delicious. BTW - the falafel is gluten free (without the pita) as are many other dishes on their menu. In summary, my falafel plate was the tastiest plate of food I've eaten in a restaurant in recent memory. It's so rare for EVERYTHING on the plate to be fantastic and full-flavored. Often, the entee will be tasty but the sides are lackluster. The Mediterranean food at Cambria Cafe was delicious: *I think these were the best falafel I've ever had: crispy, nicely spiced and light. Be sure to use the tahini sauce! *Hummus was delicious! Also very well flavored and light - not super dense *The salad was very, very tasty! Love the dressing and it was nicely dressed. *Pickles were really good - daikon? I spoke to the owners and they are delightful people. The wife is the chef. She said this food is what you might eat in Syria or Lebanon. I didn't try the grape leaves because I was too full to order them but I recommend you do as they sound way better than the typical ones.

This is one of the most adorably decorated and clean restaurants I've come across. I was blown away by the quality and flavor of the food! This used to be a Mediterranean restaurant but opened under new ownership as a Mexican restaurant about a year ago. The staff is very kind and attentive and the food is absolutely delicious. My mom had a breakfast burrito with Chorizo she said was the best of her life. My husband and I had veggie breakfast burritos which were big and super filling with everything cooked perfectly and yummy salsa on the side. We all went back for lunch the next day and had chicken mole enchiladas, huevos rancheros, chicken chilaquiles and a BLT. Everyone loved the meal and we especially liked that we were able to take in our baby without any issue. Highly recommend!

Is a small but the food is delicious! The service was a little dry for my taste but overall it was B, they do have outdoor sitting due to Covid, ask for their specials, I went from Brunch and it was amazing when it came to the taste, food portions were decent as well. Recommend Huevos Rancheros and the mimosa!

No longer serving Mediterranean food, MexiAmerican. Didn't personally eat there (I wanted Mediterranean) but wanted to leave a review so people are aware (3 stars to avoid tanking the reviews). Based on the reviews we weren't sure. Server was nice.

1 star rating was the dining experience. I believe the guy who sat us to our table may have been the owner, but he seemed upset for having patrons. His entire demeanor wasn't inviting but rather full of frustration and discontent. He knew that we weren't local to Cambria, so he took full advantage of the situation. He didn't take the time to explain that there were extra charges to items (like water). We initially wanted to order the lunch special, but these items were for "to go" only. So, we ended up ordering the babba ghanuj (doesn't come with pita), beef shawarma (came with a side of ultra bitter tahini for dipping), and chicken shawarma came with a side of garlic tzatziki dipping sauce). Food was just OK, nothing memorable and most definitely nowhere near being the best Medditerran food.
