Stopped here in the van over night for free if you have a meal at the restaurant. Really glad we did as the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful the only thing they struggled with was making the rain stop😁

Food was absolutely lovely. I had the pork tomahawk steak. Really well seasoned and cooked perfectly. There was a quiz night on tonight too, which although we didn't enter was good fun. Only slight downside was that service was a bit slow

Stayed just opposite this place on holiday. Lovely place where we felt welcome. The lady who served us on both nights was great she even went out of her way to help us time food to take away for my husband who couldn’t get over to the pub. Would definitely go back if come back to the area

Very friendly bar and restaurant with a good menu and a selection of delicious cakes. We watched the football and the ruby in the bar, atmosphere was great. Recommend the light bites menu

We popped in and had a meal in the bar, we ordered the Beer battered haddock and I ordered the Pan fried salmon both where very well cooked, had great flavours and we would definitely recommend both. The bar is well stocked with both the usual beers and also some local choices. We had the black sheep bitter which was had pulled. It can be busy and we stuck it luckily to get a table so reservations are recommend.

Great location, not too far off the M6 and opposite Greenland's Farm. It has a big car park and the canal is more or less next to it so you can go for a walk down the canal before adding the calories back on. We booked in advance via the website. Although we didn't need to as we were pretty much the only ones. This was midweek at around 3pm. Lovely decor inside and we went with our dog. The staff were amazing and super friendly! We had large salads .. and they were large. Really tasty and good quality produce. There is a desert selection as you come in through the door and although we didn't have any. They looked great. Reasonably priced and they do levi a 10% onto the bill for tips due to our cashless society we now live in. It seems like a really big place albeit I didn't explore it. There is a bar and a large outdoor area. Probably does get busy during summer holidays/weekends but 100% would go back in the future.

Update - June 2025 This place never fails to impress. So friendly and welcoming, great choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Food is amazing too. Their Thursday Fish deal is excellent value and very tasty. ********************************************* This is our 'must visit ' place, when in the area and here we are again and it hasn't disappointed. It's a great bar and restaurant in a lovely part of the country, with many walks available from right outside along the canal and back. Popped in, while staying close by at Twin Lakes, for both food and drinks. The bar and restaurant is faultless with staff who can't do enough for you. The menu is great and varied, something for everyone and very competitive prices. The pizza deal for 2 at £25 is amazing value 🍕 Would definitely recommend 👌

It's a very nice place and easy to reach. It is quite big so on a weekday you normally don't need a reservation, but it sometimes can be busy on weekends. We did go more often in the past but they have added some hidden price increases now with hidden service charges which are "optional". The Sunday lunch is quite good but the dessert don't seem to be freshly prepared. We would probably go more often if they would show transparent pricing and would update their dessert menu. Otherwise great pub though and always nice and clean and a very welcoming restaurant room.

I really want to like this place, stopped off a few times when passing. The decor is lovely, the atmosphere is nice but some of the staff just don't seem bothered.. a smile and politeness goes a long way.

Lovely updated coaching inn staff were very attentative couldn't fault service however didn't expect to be charged £18 for a small prawn salad asked if prawns were on the menus and the server said they did a prawn cocktail only as a starter but could make it into a main for me when it came I asked if that was a main portion as it didnt look much and seemed very small for a main and was informed it was .To be fair it tasted very nice but expected a little more than a few leaves and ten prawns with a little rose Marie sause .... my husband had a pie and mash which he said was nice . Wish I had been informed when ordering that it would be double the price of a starter not worth the money by any stretch of the imagination a shame really because the place was nice .

More of an eating place as no comfortable areas with decent chairs to sit on for just a drink. High bar stools or normal chairs. Nice open plan bar/ dining room.

Celebrated a special birthday here, food was lovely 10/10 especially the fish and chips and black pudding starter, however the experience was let down by the service, this is the second time we've been and both times the service has let it down. The first time we came a few weeks ago we had to go and ask a waitress who were all stood on their phones for the dessert menu. This time Some of the party arrived early and had a coffee however the cups were left on the table for a long time untill we asked them to remove them after we'd had a second round of drinks. The steak we ordered, no one asked how we would like that cooked. One of the meals out of six didn't arrive untill after everyone else had nearly finished, fortunately this was comped from the bill at the end, however one of the waitresses attitude after we had chased it up was less than professional, the other two ladies we chased up with were apologetic. We then ordered desserts, the custard was split for the treacle tart and the brownie stated as served warm was cold. We brought both of these issues to the waiters attention who asked if we'd like a new treacle tart (not sure why they'd ask to just replace the custard but not the now ruined tart) and the same brownie was clearly reheated and the same ice cream placed back on the plate that was now nearly melted. By this point we had given up. Just very disappointing for what could have been a great experience.

Lovely place everything in there excessively priced , it would be a lot busier if prices were reasonable.

Website needs updating as they do not serve non residents breakfast. At all i by the looks of things. Turned up 11am so my guess is they simply couldnt be bothered. Shame as have had a few good drinks in there and the evening staff seemed really pleasant and forthcoming

Was disappointed in the breakfast no baked beans on a full cooked breakfast and had to pay for toast extra and it was very cheap bread, scrambled eggs were way under cooked and un edible for me. I also was still eating and the waitress tried taking my plate away. Just common sense really.

Met family here on 10th December for a meal before Christmas. The food was very poor. There was 16 of us and we had pre ordered so there was no excuse. We didn’t complain on the day as my sister had just lost her husband a couple of weeks ago and he should have been with us. She didn’t want to make a fuss. The venue is very nice but that is it.

Supporters of the Vale of Lune Harriers hunting party. On boxing day 2025 this establishment will be supporting the hunt. This 'trail hunting' group, who used to hunt fox and deer before the ban. I would not support any business who have links to hunting groups, especially those who host such groups.

At 8.22 pm on a Tuesday we were turned away as we had not booked in advance and they are full. There were empty tables outside andin the bar area and the waiter was serving food outside. We were told staff is too busy . There was no option to wait. I am in an utter shock. We had two young children with us and we were staying next door even pizza or chips would have been fine. Clearly, the owner is not for profit. In London they would go bankrupt with this attitude.
