Rockin' Cajun Carson Reviews
When I tell you this food is worth more stars. Now this was the second choice since competition down the street had too many rules. We ate here since the reviews were great and now I see why. The food was delicious and the service was awesome. They have a reward program I'm definitely going to do. I highly recommend this place to anyone.
I was only in town for my internship and felt like trying something i couldn't really get in idaho. And MAN! I had such a good time. I got the 1 combo and had two pounds of grawfish and a pound of shrimp with a calamari and catfish appetizer and a saide of garlic bread to share with my boss. Now, I haven't had a chance to have many boils in my life, but this was the best I've ever had. I destroyed my food. With the medium heat it was perfect at having a nice heat and tingle on the lips without making me sweat. Genuinely hope I can come back and go after the crab legs next. The only downside here however, is that the gloves are very thin, and mine ripped. I now have to go to bed tonight with my fingers smelling delicious.
I had lunch at Rockin' Cajun and the food was delicious. I ordered the Loaded Fries and the Catfish plate. The popcorn shrimp on the fries were light, crispy and delicious. The catfish was hot and cooked to perfection. It was crispy on the outside and super tender on the inside. The batter was light, flavorful and not greasy at all. I would definitely recommend. The catfish was soo good that I forgot to take a picture before I ate it. I will definitely come back.
Mike and Nate's House of Seafood is a cajun-asian fusion cuisine. I have been a Chef for over 10 years. This is the greatest place ever. The seafood is fresh. The first on Nov. 29th I ate half dozen raw oysters, and buffalo wings. These wings are not the typical wings. I did not insert a picture the first time. The second time on Dec 1st the waiter suggested last time to try the cajun rub, buffalo wings, and grilled zucchini in the picture below. The cajun rub was okay not my favorite it's spices need to be more rubbed in. But, the buffalo wings has a tang what we call in Louisiana it is the sweet and tart that makes your tongue happy were again great the next day. Also, the buffalo wings this time presentation was not appetizing to the eyes. Next time just use the tongs and place it on the tray. I did enjoy the extra sauce. I did not need any ranch. It reminds me of a pickle and you put a peppermint in the middle. I live for that mouthwatering taste. The grilled zucchini was fresh, tender, and juicy. It was a fabulous experience again. If you dine inside they provide T.V.'s to watch sports. I am so glad this place intrigued me. I am from Texas and our wings do not taste like this. Mike and Nate's House of Seafood we would love for you to come to Houston. There is a place for you in my city we call Houston. Overall it was a awesome experience it is wheelchair assessible easy to enter and exit easy to your vehicle.
this place was delicious. the mashed potatoes and the 6oz steak / shrimp plate is the go to! you get the best of both worlds with this surf n turf! their staff member "Mary" is very helpful from when I originally called in about a question I had to when she seated us and took care of our table! if you stop by make sure she's waiting your table, she'll really help you when it comes to making a great decision and checking if you need anything.
ok so i found this place on a fly.. the ffod tasted amazin . the seafood sampler platter was great next time we ordering a large instead. i dug into the salmon stuff with crab before i took the picture because i was so impressed with everything else i ate i was praying it met the standards also and boy o boy i was so glad i found this place... the clam chowder was great also . cant wait to go back.. and tge receipt you see is how much everything cost including our drinks.. it was 2 of us
The food was delicious but the snow crab special was crazy. So expensive for so little crab. Steer clear of that one and you won't be disappointed by the flavor.
The PoBoy sandwich was amazing!!! Definitely something to try. The baguette style bread was on point and crunchy, super tasty shrimp cooked two different ways with a drizzle sauce that is so good. I would have never ordered this but the waitress recommended and it was great! The jambalaya pasta was ok, so was the clam chowder and gumbo - just ok. Staff were very nice. We'll be back to try other dishes.
Well wanted some jambalaya and didn't want to make the drive to Redondo Beach and this was the closest place that I can find after searching. So decided to give it a try to see how the food would taste, but unfortunately the jambalaya was meh 😕 when it comes to taste IMO. Plus the fact they had some type of cheese sauce mixed in with the pasta because you can tell when you pull up the pasta it was sticking together. We both agreed that it wasn't the best choice from this place and it didn't looks this appealing! Now when it comes to real jambalaya you need to go to the cheesecake factory plain and simple. I added a few pictures of my jambalaya plate from a few days ago just to show the difference in appearance and color and how jambalaya should actually look! But honestly should have just ordered a crab boil to see if it tests great and to play it safe. Not sure when or if I'll be going back for another visit this will be a one and done.....
If you have a large party CHECK YOUR BILL!!!! Their system is set up incorrectly so that they charge sales tax on the food AND ON THE 18% gratuity. Sales tax in Carson at the time of this review is 10.5% so make sure your tax is only 10.5% of the subtotal, not the total including tip. I brought it to the managers attention and she credited the difference but couldn’t fix the incorrect setup. She was very nice about it so hopefully they will fix it. As for food, the combos are great but everything else is just ok.
If you've had Cajun seafood before then this place ranks a 3/5 because their sauce is too thick and way too much garlic. It's pretty good if you're a first timer. Their calamari is a 4/5 if it would have been accompanied by an aoli or a home made tartar sauce it would have been better. Oysters were yummy.
The shrimp was overcooked, dissolved in your hands while peeling it. My bag was filled with a lot of shrimp heads and legs. I ordered two pounds of shrimp. The shrimp should be added to the roux after you order to ensure that they're not overcooked. Steamed shrimp with lemon and butter then added to the roux once you order. Other than that the service and atmosphere were great.
The seafood boil seasoning went downhill 💔. No flavor at all. I’ve been trying to come back and give chances but the flavor is not how it use to be!
I am extremely upset! I ordered a pound of King crab legs on uber eats from this place. They literally gave me two legs and a small piece and it does not weigh a pound! the little pieces you see have no meat it looks as if they just threw it in to seem like its a pound. I spent 94$ on this order and its not even a pound. This place is robbing people of their money cause aint no way they send this out and think this is okay. I called to make the complaint and the young woman stated that they were busy and the manager isnt in until 5pm. Which is weird because why is there no manager there at all times. I am waiting on the manager to call me back *Update manager called stated she sent uber eats the refund. I waited two weeks and never got a refund. Uber eats informed me no refund was sent.
