The starters were very good (potato salad, piquillo peppers) and the artichoke rice was delicious 😋 The staff were excellent. Everything was clean. I'll definitely be back. Reserve a table

We had a wonderful meal, and the service was excellent from the moment we made the reservation until we got our coffee. The rice dishes were delicious, and the starters we tried were great too. 100% recommended.

We ate there. It's a place that offers a weekend menu for €27, including three starters, a main course, and dessert. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. A place we'll definitely go back to and recommend to others. 🎖

We went last minute for dinner this Saturday due to a reservation mishap at another restaurant. We ordered the tapas menu and had a very good dinner, at a great price, with a wide variety of good products and very well cooked. I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service was excellent, and the food was hearty, varied, and very tasty. Being one street away from the majority of downtown restaurants makes it more accessible, even for parking. Of the recent restaurants we've been to in Castellón, I really liked this one, and we'll be back; it's a safe bet.

Everything was very good. Vegetables with tempura and scrambled eggs with Trevelez ham. Assorted rice dishes, pork cheeks, pork knuckles and cod. Desserts included toast, fruit salad, brownies and sorbets.

We ate there over the weekend. The food was very good and the waiters were very attentive. If you're hungry, I recommend adding another starter (3). It cost us €33 per person, and we left very happy.

An EXCELLENT culinary professional who chooses top-quality products always manages to surprise us with exquisite dishes and perfect presentation. A MAGNIFICENT bartender takes great care of the clientele, accompanied by waitresses who are at her level. With these ingredients, nothing can go wrong, which is why this restaurant is a safe bet for us. This Valentine's Day night, we enjoyed a special menu that pleasantly surprised us once again. CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU for making our lunches and dinners enjoyable for so many years. Keep it up!

A centrally located Mediterranean restaurant in Castellón. We ordered the special Magdalena festival menu: two starters to choose from, a main course, and dessert. The starters were good, and the rice dish we chose—artichoke, baby squid, and prawns—was absolutely delicious 🤤. Special mention goes to the desserts, which were divine 😋. The service was excellent, attentive, and friendly, even during the festival and with the restaurant packed. They also offer rice dishes to take away. Highly recommended.

We had delicious fine tapas at this restaurant and were only surprised that it was not busier on a Friday evening. Service was good despite our lack of Catalan! Each dish was really distinctive and interesting! Great stuff!

We went for the weekday set menu. €18 without drinks. Two starters, one main course, dessert, and bread. Very good value for the quality of the food, but not suitable for everyday dining. It's a restaurant that offers good quality ingredients, well-prepared, and with originality. The arroz al senyoret (seafood paella) was a standout; the rice was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful flavor. I've tried several rice dishes, and it's a great place to enjoy any well-prepared rice dish. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The restaurant doesn't have great acoustics; it's a bit noisy.

We were looking for a place in the Castellón area to stop for lunch on the way between Gandia and Barcelona and by searching Google Maps and reviews we found El Cigró. What a great decision to make a stop, get off the highway and enjoy a meal at a more than reasonable price for the quality of the dishes. The very good service, the attention to the celiac person preparing the dishes on the menu so that he could eat them perfectly and the tranquility of the space made the good preparation of the dishes round off the experience. We were just looking for a place to stop on our way and we found a place that we would easily repeat if the opportunity arose.

Too expensive, but three stars wouldn't be enough. We went for lunch on Magdalena Day. A group with several children. The round table they seated us at was fantastic, a great choice. The service was very pleasant and professional, a real pleasure. The food was high quality. The portions were just right, although nothing was left over. The rice we ordered was on par with the rest of the restaurant. If I had to find fault with anything, it would be the price. A bit expensive in my opinion for Castellón, but given the quality, I can't lower the rating from four stars. For example: You can't offer a menu at those prices and charge €1.50 for the aioli we ordered to accompany the black rice. I think they should reconsider those details. In short, a good place, service, and quality. But you do pay for it.

The best part was the dessert. The wife met with childhood friends for the first time in almost two years.

We found this restaurant by chance and had a very good dinner except for one of the main dishes. It was the weekend, and despite the menu being €25 per person (€32 with a wine list included), we decided to dine a la carte. For starters, we had some very special bravas (€10), which we really liked, crispy black pudding and foie gras (€2.20), and croquettes (€1.10), the latter very creamy and flavorful. For main courses, we had octopus (€13), which was tasty but not outstanding, and entrecote (€14). We didn't like the way the entrecote was prepared in tacos (so you can't see the meat), which also had a lot of fat (not infiltrated, but at the ends of the tacos, which in many cases represented 50% of the taco). We ordered bread, but it was too toasted and didn't allow for dipping. Fortunately, the delicious dessert, horchata torrija, made up for it somewhat. Friendly service and a good atmosphere. A bit of a wait between courses, but not excessive (dinner took about 1 hour and 40 minutes). We were offered an appetizer upon arrival and a complimentary shot at the end. We had beer and it came to €25 per person. We'll probably come back and give it another try.

We went for dinner on Friday night; the food was good but we didn't like the service at all. It took a long time between courses and you were getting hungry. The place was empty and yet it took us forever to have dinner.

A place I'd always heard highly of. Even my wife has been there several times and had a fantastic meal. But I have to say that after going with some friends (more than 20 people), I expected more. The food was very good, but very limited. I don't know if it was because of the number of people or the fact that the restaurant was so busy, but many of us were hungry when we left. For starters, there was Russian salad, a little for each diner, and a wok of baby squid, to share for three, and we only found two pieces of squid, everything else was vegetables. For main course, I ordered Iberian sirloin, which was a bit small. It was really very good, but for the price... The dessert was spectacular. And to top it all off and ask for the bill, we ordered more than €800 for some shots and what a surprise they wanted to charge us €1 each shot, after a bill of more than €800, I think that adding a few shots (there were 6 shots) like in many places we have been, they should have had the detail to add them and not ask for anything in return, but hey, everyone in their business does what they think is appropriate.

Servicio poco atento
