I got a no. 11, footlong with steak, cheese, peppers, onion, lettuce, and sweet teriyaki sauce, toasted. It was well balanced, had fresh produce, and the portions were adequate. I took advantage of a coupon that I received in the mail. All this for under 9 bucks. I will definitely go back once I receive the next coupon.

The subway on E Castro valley is the worst one I’ve ever been too, almost stopped going to subway altogether because of that location- found this place and it’s been SOLID every single time. Everything’s always been perfect and made on time. If you’re looking for an alternative subway because the one on E Castro is so awful, you can stop looking and just go here.

Update: went in 8/13 at about 4ish. Was greeted by both of the Sandwich Artists in such a nice way. They both were very friendly and personable. One even had fun facts about what I ordered and which topping were good for the heart and long life. Very pleasant experience (I worked at this location 25 years ago) and both whom worked today deserve kudos and a raise!!

Great place to go whatever time it is. I've gone there with a few noisy friends and the staff were very friendly and patient. I worked there about a year ago and out of all the jobs I've had, this was by far the best one. Wasn't the highest paying, but if you're gonna make an extra dollar an hour, would you not want to enjoy your job? While I worked there, the employees were amazing, friendly people that I would like to mention but shouldn't. If we had customers that were crabby or just being stubborn, the managers were always ready to drive to Subway from their house and help. The managers really focus on sanitation there and making sure the customers want to come back. And to this day I still live up to that. I would return to work there as I have been welcomed back, but I live 15 miles away and I don't go to high school in Castro Valley anymore. Anyways, great place to go, and the employees make everyone feel welcome. I rarely go to any other Subway. I even drove 15 miles to get a sandwich, and then 15 miles back to go to a Smash Ultimate tournament. That's how much I love this location.

It was good. I just feel places that serve food should have more than 1 person helping behind the counter regardless what time it is. You never know when you will get lots of people wanting to eat at the same place.

Amazing amazing sandwiches they make for me, so I live in Castro Valley and sometimes after work I would stop by and get a sandwich, since I've been coming so much that they already know my whole order :) great quality food and the workers there are really great and friendly just make me want to stay in and eat and chat.

I dont usually go to this location. This subway is struggling with business. They only put 3 small pieces of meat on my Senior moms sandwich. They took her change and put it in there tip jar without asking. I felt like they were taking advantage of elders in this location.

The Subway Restaurant on Castro Valley Blvd. has always(10+) years, had fast, excellent, made to order sandwiches. My husband and sons go there when they really want a "quick" meal. They are always happy with their meatball or tuna sandwiches. I am a very picky vegetarian. Finding the right meal has not worked out for me. I recommend this shop for most folks. Debbie Rice

Ordered 3 sandwiches toasted got them regular. 2 sandwiches with avocado got none. The sandwiches were soggy. I got the sandwiches 45 minutes after the time they were supposed to be ready according to the online app.

Awful service!! Called to see if my order went through becuase was charged but had no order confirmation. I called and the man who picked up was RUDE AND DISCUSSING I asked if he could check if he had any record of my order and told me he wouldn't check and hung up. Awful service. waste of time. Waste of money. You're are better off ordering from any other food place. Don't waste Your time.

I got such bad food poisoning from here. The staff is not friendly and the place is just dirty. They didn't have salad dressing in the early afternoon. They are never busy, so you're just not ordering the supplies you need. Awful

Poor service. I ordered footlong veggie delight with Avocados. Avocados were spoiled, i thought this young girl working there won’t use those, she sliced those and started putting it on my sandwich. I pointed out and she got so upset, i said those avocados are spoiled, why are you using those? Her response: “well they are not, but whatever”. Extremely rude. To add further, when I walked into to the store same girl was busy on her phone and did not even realize someone walked in even though have a door entry bell. I had to say hi to her to get her attention.
