We're pescatarian. Decent # of options for our dietary restrictions. Really good Cajun fish! Food is always tasty. Service is fast and friendly. Really small parking lot (maybe 4 spaces) that is shared with another restaurant. Some street parking, but not much. One of our favorites for Mexican seafood.

I had two pork super burritos. According to the sign these are 🔥. No they are not. The hot salsa was hot. Definitely great Super burritos with everything. Parking is a pain or just weird. The food is great. You could eat there. It is clean.

I just went in today. The nice older man took my order and helped me, since I have cognitive impairment. The place was clean and quiet like I appreciate and my burrito was so very good. Not a fan of the chips. I will return and definitely recommend

This little shop tucked away in the corner should be given more recognition and praise. Initially, when I decided to give this mom and pop restaurant, I thought they had closed down shop and Google Maps wasn't up-to-date because the door was locked and the lights were off. Out of confusion, I looked around and noticed they shifted to a bigger building just adjacent to the original location. The building is lackluster. It's one of those buildings that you would pass up and assume the food is tainted and terrible. Quite the contrary, the food was amazing! I ordered their Super Burrito with a side of tortilla chips. Not many Mexican restaurants have this meat choice as an option for a burrito, but they had my favorite meat choice, chile verde. The burrito consisted of your choice of wrap, your choice of meat, rice, beans, sour cream, cheese, I think lettuce as well, and pico de gallo. Im not a fan of Pico de gallo and had it removed. The food came out relatively quick and was still nice and warm upon reaching my hotel room. That first bite, and I was ready to destroy that burrito and leave nothing behind. The pork was so tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Every bite was so savory, I wished it was an endless burrito. This shop is now on my radar, and I hope others give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.

The Burrito shop has a lot more than burritos. And many different kinds. Prices are reasonable. Very fresh food and friendly staff.

I got the grilled chicken burrito and it was not at all disappointing. The pico de gallo was very savory, the chicken may have been lightly seasoned but mostly grilled flavoring although it could of used a little more charred flavoring in my opinion. They had several gourmet burritos, a steak and prawns one in particular that I cant wait to go back and try. The atmosphere was pretty standard taqueria, could use a little more unique flare but overall was nice. There was a bathroom and was nice.

Nice cutty spot. Haven't been disappointed in the food and service. I usually get the fish tacos. 😋. Chips are so so. The honey mustard sauce is grande! Quick and easy.

I called ahead for my order and it was ready ready as soon as I arrived. I purchased several burritos. 2 chicken, 1 steak which everyone liked. I had the garlic and lime shrimp burrito. It was alright. I didn't taste very much garlic or lime, but otherwise it was all good food.

My baseline for chili verde is my 2nd mom, Juanita "Jenny from the block" Torrez. I judge all Mexican restaurants based on her authentic cooking. I realize that you can't ever beat your first chili verde experience,...or can you? San Jose Taqueria in Oakdale, CA, (off Oakdale Rd). They charge $9.- bucks for a chili verde superburrito. Why am I telling you this? Because -they- have become my new standard to which I compare all other Mexican food by. And I tell you this in the hopes that you take the trip out there, taste one, and up your game. A lil bit spicier, a lil bit more vinegar oil, a lil bit more veggies and spices, cilantro, and your superburritos, in the Bay Area, will be worth $15.- bucks, and not the $12 you are currently charging. When I first bit into that San Jose Taqueria chili verde superburrito, I was already a mile away. I knew I had made a mistake...by not tipping them in the tip jar. I don't make that mistake anymore. The next time I went over there, I made sure it was of the same quality, then I tipped $5 for the burrito I was eating, and $5 for the one I already ate. It was that damn good. I still frequent that Taqueria; two, sometimes 4 or more times a month. Even when I don't have business in that area, I will make the 20 minute drive to satisfy my craving, -CRAVING-, for their food. Mexican food is my favorite food. It tends to have all food groups wrapped in one "dish." That thin, bread-like dish, wraps aaall that flavorful and variety of foods...into one HUGE superpower of nutrient-dense goodness...that I like to call "Home." Cooking is an art. Don't get ripped off by knockoffs. If you're a small-time mom & pop shop, do some taste tests. Up your game...and watch foodies like me spread our love of your creations rewarding you with praise and the almighty silver dollar. This character is only gonna be Prez for a few more years, then everything will be back to normal. Oh, did I just make a political statement? Geeeze, how cool is that! Lol!

Very flavorful food I always add shrimp to my burrito. If it has more shrimp that would be great! If your paying a extra 5$ for shrimp please add a more generous amount. Overall great food and customer service (:

Had a Garlic Lime Prawn Burrito, black bean being the default choice is interesting. But the burrito was oddly refreshing. Cilantro rice and romaine lettuce are also unusual default choices for a Mexican place, but it wasn't bad. Pinto and Spanish rice are available upon request. Prawns were cooked hot and fresh, they were still steaming from the burrito. The only issue I had was from how wet the burrito was from the black beans and lettuce, could strain them better for less liquid.

Ordered Steak super burrito. It is ok burrito, but I don’t think I would want to come for it again. The place is clean and friendly. I liked it very much. Salsa bar is pretty limited without chips. You are given a little bag of chips with the order though.

Ordered a regular steak burrito was dry and had zero flavor. And the little steak that was in there had so much fat and grizzle it was hard to enjoy. The sour cream or cheese (i honestly dont know) tasted and looked curdled. And there was a giant bay leaf in there. Ummm...no thank you. Not coming back. Not sorry.

I got the baja prawn tacos which were unedible. They were SO fried and so HARD i couldnt even bite into them. And they dont fit inside the taco. I also got the baja fish taco which was atleast edible but not good because even though I ordered both with no tomatos they still put tomatos on them.

Ordered a steak burrito with extra meat and add cilantro. Didn't get the cilantro and barley got any meat. Rice is soggy and whole burrito doesn't taste good at all. Second time eating there and the last for me.

Two and a half weeks ago, I wrote a letter expressing my disappointment with a recent visit to Castro Valley burrito shop. Unfortunately, I have not received a response from your end. On July 3rd, I visited the Castro Valley shop and purchased dinner for my family, which included 3 burritos, 1 quesadilla, and 4 sprites. The total amount came up to $75.71 after including a 10% tip. Half way home, I realized that she did not include the Sprites. She asked me to come back but I was already 20 minutes away. Moreover, when we got home and we started eating our food, we found out that my burrito was filled with rice and lettuce despite explicitly requesting for no rice and no lettuce. Additionally, one of my son's burritos was also incorrect. My request for refund has been ignored and I have not received a response.

I went to the Burrito Shop on Saturday 12/05/20 and ordered a large Burrito with hamburger meat. Went into my car and started eating the Burrito. Sorry to say it was the worst Burrito I've ever ate. It tasted horrible. The meat was extremely dry, with very little beans and rice and no other ingredients. The tortilla was really burnt. Sorry to say, I will never go back again. Please don't go there

Yesterday i ordered some nachos with meat there was hardly any cheese. I ordered a bean and cheese burrito there was no cheese. My wife ordered an asada burrito they gave her pork instead. I was happy to find a taqueria near home and support a small business but was disappointed with the food.
