This McDonald's is a step above a lot of them. Let me tell you about my experiences here in this Catskill area so far. I went to the Ambrosia Diner where the older waitress spent her time stomping around and slamming things down complaining about working alone when there was a gentleman working alongside her working just as hard as her while she kept saying demeaning things about him, then on to the Price Chopper where it was dirty, the tomatoes we bought wound up having moldy ones in them and the cashier just not happy to be at work. THEN today this McDonald's, bathroom super clean, customer service outstanding! She acted like I was her friend come in to visit she was all smiles, light banter and they were QUICK. So quick. Thank you to their staff. I thought this area was cursed until I visited this McDonald's. That's how great the food, cleanliness and customer service was 😁

This McDonalds has always had great service and hot food. Sadly they are understaffed, but even being understaffed they are doing a great job with every customer! It may take longer to order, but food is still hot and fresh, and you are greeted with a smile and manners.

Place was very clean and the workers were extremely kind and happy. Food was good. Everyone was working hard keeping the place clean, doing curbside orders etc. sadly they seem understaffed due to the “we are hiring” signs everywhere but the workers who do work there are wonderful!

Great! The outdoor tables were clean which was a blessing cause i had my pup 🐶 with me. Indoor dining is currently closed which didn't impact me but may be an annoyance to anyone else. I would come back on my next Catskills road trip.

Freshly cooked. Interior is nice and modern (must have been updated recently!). Good service. Only complaint: no baby changing station in the Men’s room.

This location has improved in so many ways over the winter, from new renovations to the food —- my last visit was very pleasant. I dined inside and each staff member was highly attentive and polite.

I don't think I've ever reviewed a McDonald's, but our service was outstanding. The manager went out of her way to help my wife get our 4 kids situated and drinks (while I was searching for stuff in our car), checked on our meals and was very attentive.

Friendly staff and pretty quick despite being short staffed. This review was written during Covid-19 so I can't really blame them for having a smaller staff. Other than that, it's McDonald's, not much else to say. (I used the drive-thru).

In my experience, this is a great McDs location. The food was good, my fries were hot and crisp and not overstated. Sandwiches were good. The service was friendly and quick enough. And the restaurant is clean and spacious.

We were headed to Northern New York and needed some breakfast so we found this McDonald's was the closest thing from the highway that was open. It was the cleanest McDonald's I've ever been in and the people working the counter were so polite.

I usual don’t leave reviews for fast food establishments but thought this one should be recognized. I’m doing some work in the area and have been coming here for lunch a few times a week. Every time the food has come out hot and fresh as it can be for McDonald’s. The overall staff is very pleasant too. I always see them doing something such as mopping floors, cleaning tables and etc. Clean dining room area too.

Love getting their McChickens, McNuggets, and Cookie Packs!!! Their Staff is always friendly, staff, and the location is always clean! One of the better fast food restaurants I've ever been to as well!!! Truly I have no complaints about them! Their prices are also a lot lower than other McDonald's around as well, which is a definitive plus!!! It's great to have them around!!! Keep up the great work!!!

The girl working the register was extremely nice and helpful. My grandma and I never come to McDonald's and we were having trouble ordering. She was very patient and accommodating. I also observed her helping several seniors with their orders. Pleasant experience overall!

They have improved over the last year less mistakes on orders and food comes out pretty hot so it's much better than my previous review.

They are going through some rough times I believe. A lot of new staff and the chaos of recently finished renovations. Very pleasant and friendly team

The spicy chicken nuggets are really good. They did wonderful in putting my Big Mac together - a big improvement there.

Place is clean, employees were great. However, It is National ice cream day at McDonald's and this locations machine was down.

Usually it's packed around lunch time an you have a better chance of going inside. But usually fast service, and good customer service.

It's McDonalds. It's just ok. This McDonalds though always seems to screw up your order. Don't bother going through the drive thru unless you plan on checking your order completely before you leave. Mistakes happen. Mistakes at this place happen often.

It's McDonald's! I don't eat much fast food but now that the steak and egg bagel is back. I will grab that once in a blue and enjoy it immensely

I ask for 4 creamer and 4 sugar on the side. 6 out of 10 times. Cream and sugar were put in the coffee. Or I get 2 creamer and 36 sugar in the bag. Very rare is it ever right

Alright for a quick bite. I've had issues on multiple visits with them messing my order up but was rectified.

Service is normally prompt, but is often backed up during lunch time. The hours fluctuate constantly, closing sometimes 30 minutes earlier than listed.

They were making a lot of mistakes with previous orders. When it was our turn I ordered a Big Mac. When I opened it there was a top bun middle bun two burgers covered in sauce and lettuce and then the bottom bun. It was such a mess

Came here for breakfast at 7:30am and considering that's usually a busy time for McDonald's.... There were only 3 people on line besides me and it was almost a 15 minute wait to get my food. Only 3 people were running the whole restaurant which makes sense why there was such a wait... Still that's to long for food to be made at a fast food restaurant....

When you get that fast food craving its a good fix. Food has always been cooked well. My biggest downside is I've had items missing from my order, by the time I discover it I'm already on my way down the road and its a pain to turn around and go back. The other thing is my strawberry milkshake w/ oreo is a hit or miss if it will be available.

This McDonald's is not one of the best at all. They have ran out of fries for one which is definitely suspect. And alot of times when I'm in there I'll be on line awaiting forever while these teens talk n chill. But I have one good thing to say and that's about a kid named Gregory. He was extremely nice at the drive thru window and was very helpful and nice while getting our food and he in attentive and professional. And I'm not joking this kid was more professional with his hello and repeating our order then some of these places I call to put in a $20-$40 order at a restaurant. I really respect that type of attitude in the work place. Keep up the good work and keep that attitude where u work kid!

Sloppy construction of a Classic Chicken sandwich. A small limp piece of lettuce and a tiny squished piece of breaded chicken with some special sauce mis-applied at the very edge. Tasted as lousy as it looked and cold. Ok fries and a soda. 1/2 a yuck for this "meal". The new video menus keep changing screens and are very difficult to focus on what offered. Otherwise, the place is clean and the staff is polite. I won't be stopping back any time soon. My daughter and grand kids wanted to stop

Do not like ordering from a keyosk. Nowhere did it say you could order from a person and no one showed their face up front for at least 10 minutes. Food was fine and correct just didn't like the ordering process. Rather use the drive thru.

It's your typical McDon's. My service was quick dispite the fact that there was only one person working the whole restaurant. The rating would have been a 4 out of 5 Stars. Unfortunately the worker was there by herself that morning and I find that extremely unsafe and not very becoming of McDonald's.

I mean, it's a McDonald's so there only so much to expect. The staff here is always great. The only reason I choose McDonald's over BK is the staff is more friendly and I trust the food I get more. They should really fix their drive thru speaker though. You can see they are working on increasing the quality of the McDonald's itself. Happy to change the review if they get it together.

I grew up getting mcdonakd as a treat and now a days it's a treat to pass McDonald on my way to Burger King. Md prices are crazy and their food is just so-so. BK is far tastier and on the wallet!

Large fry keeps not being filled up paid for a large and got a medium been happening for months

went there and got a large meal with a frappe and then got another small frappe on the side was $16 i wanted two large and they tried charging me for another.. workers were rude too.

Staff was friendly and efficient, however we stopped for milk shakes and were told that the machine was down. This seems to be a consistent problem.

Food is rarely fresh , Everytime I go through drive thru I get an attitude while giving my order , the shake machine seems to always be down and out of all time I once in a while want a milk shake it's never made right or they don't put it in my order which leaves me to have to pay extra for it when it should've already been on my order

Went to this McDonald's this morning and ordered a egg and cheese on a biscuit sandwich with extra cheese instead they gave me a sausage egg mcmuffin with extra cheese, asked for a burrito meal and they informed me they were out of burritos. Its bad enough they got rid of the Steak egg and cheese on a bagel just because of Covid from what I have been told. The prices are outrages, Staff wanted higher wages because they needed it how about not screwing orders all the time then I wouldn't mind paying a little extra due to staff wage increase. Maybe there should be some sort of competency test in order to work there.

I hate pickles, told them no pickles, so they took a pre-made sandwich & took off the pickles. It was gross! Not to mention expensive!

Ordered on Door Dash simple BACON Quarter Pounder with only ketchup. Medium Drink Medium Fry. 1 plain hamburger. Why would I pay for a BACON QT pounder and remove the bacon. ID JUST BUY A QT POUNDER!! Manager proceeded to tell me I was wrong and it was on there. It was supposed to only be ketchup and bacon what did I not see the bacon?????? Don't waste your time here the staff is slow and the management is beyond lazy and take no responsibility for there own mistakes.

Drove15 minutes to get breakfast and ordered steak egg and cheese on bagel meals. Than went home with it to find no egg. Great job. 15 dollars an hour. Yeah right not worth 5.

Wow, employees here never seem to get coupons right! God forbid a newspaper coupon doesn't scan correctly, they have no problem discussing it for several minutes while the people in line Huff n' puff. They get REALLY flustered about the McD Android app--they say the coupon on the phone has already been scanned EVERY TIME I'VE GONE TO THIS LOCATION FOR COUPONS THAT HAVE NEVER BEEN USED (YES, the phone's on highest brightness setting). Then, they stare at us as if we're going to say "no prob we'll pay full price". Nope, they advertise deals for agreeing to put their app and allow permissions on my phone, so they get their market research and advertise to me so the least they can do is make good on their coupons without hassling is every-dang-time! The employees (especially the managers) should simply realize this and comp the discount--it's like "free med fry with any sandwich" (not dollar menu sandwich). That's a fair deal, certainly not worth them acting like I'm a pain in the arse over though! ;)

5 people have gotten sick from catskill recently puking the burgers up, very dry, service is slow, prices keep going up and the food keeps going down. Recently had 2 cheeseburgers and 1st one was alright not hot, second one was a hockey puck wasted my money

We had a chicken(like) sandwich and Mcnuggets. Seems like something was wrong with fryer oil, not really sure, but we both got sick.

Went to order a hashbrown off of their menu and was told they don't make them during the day. Maybe shouldn't have things on menu you don't make! Going to different McDonald's that actually want business and make what's on their menu.

McDonald's has become the most expensive fast food restaurant. No longer value meals, but 'combo deals '. That's good they changed the name because there is certainly no value in eating at McDonald's in general. You're best bet is to go to a sit down restaurant and pay only a little bit more. If you really desire fast food, drive the extra quarter mile up the street and go to Burger King. Your wallet will appreciate it. This McDonald's seems to vie for most screwed up orders trophy with the Catskill Dunkin donuts. I worked at McDonald's for a handful of years (not this store). It's not a hard job if you're paying attention or put a little bit of effort into it. Another visit tonight, another screwed up order. Ordered a happy meal and a plain cheeseburger. Got the happy meal home and handed to my daughter. No fries no apple slices no toy. Just chicken nuggets. This store is a bumbling mess.

McDonald's in Catskill New York I had the worst experience with the young lady that gave us our food. I feel like if u are not customer friendly u don't need to be a Employee. So no I will never go back there until your employees receive lessons on how to treat there customers

This McDonald’s used to be really good back in the day, now it’s just about as sh!tty as the one in Coxsackie. I went there one time a few months ago about 15 minutes before closing and they took forever to get me my order. The food was so cold and the fries had NO salt on them. Went there again a few weeks ago during my lunch hour and had the same experience once again. Never eating here again! Go to Cairo or Saugerties if you want hot food that comes quickly. Those locations are farther away and cost more, but better than eating cold food that’s not worth the wait. Or just go to the Burger King in Catskill. At least they’re faster and cheaper! EDIT: food hasn’t improved. Nuggets always cold and so dry I nearly choke on them and fries also cold. When I came in they were all gathered in a circle in the grill area chatting rather than doing their jobs.

Had to repeat my order twice to person taking them . Told him it was to be eaten in , buy it was placed in a bag . Didn't get my soda cup until i asked for it. Noticed a couple of workers with long hair behind the counter not tied up

Not one to complain about fast food. Especially not the employees. But, on 11/15/2016 in the evening , we ordered food. It was the typical room tempature wraps we get and on an 2x pickle mcdouble, was given 2 pickles, the staff was not polite. Matter of fact the first employee we see doesn't greet us as she is standing in front of a register. Instead walks away from us. We stand there about 5 minutes. Then the manager takes our order finally. They forget my sauce, but as I am getting my child a drink I hear the manager mocking me. "Ugh. You forgot my sauce..." then then went as far as to talk inopropriatly in front of my 8 year old. I will NEVER EVER go to mcdonalds while that manager is working there ever again.

Ordered food prior to breakfast closing when I got there at the counter I was told that I could not get the breakfast food I ordered because they had not made it and they do not make it before you come to the drive-thru which is not stated in the app in any disclaimer I am very disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere. However I will be holding a sign protesting this store.

Hands down the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The staff is always rude and ignores you, the food is usually late or the order is incorrect. Most times I order on the mobile app and select curbside only for them not to bring it to me and mark it as complete. You go inside and they all hide in the kitchen and won’t come to the front yet alone the cash register because they expect everything to be ordered through the kiosk so that they don’t have to interact with you. Use to be a great McDonald’s but unfortunately is horrendous now especially when it comes to service.

Ordered a Happy Meal with no apples and fries instead. Orded the $5 bundle, dbl cheese burger. Got apple slices and no fries. Took a full 14 minutes to get my $5 bundle. The dbl cheese burger looked like someone used it for football practice. Of course it was also cold. ********************************************** OK went back again. We stood at the counter and waited 7 minutes while the staff stood by the fries discussing the weather!!! A young lady took our order. 18 minutes later we got our food. A Happy Meal and a $5 double cheeseburger deal. The fries were cold and my Double cheeseburger had more of the cheese and burger on the paper than between the buns. I'm DONE with CATSKILL McDonalds. My complaints will go to Cotporate from now on.

I ordered with the app trying to speed things up. I still had to wait 20 minutes to get my food! If they were slammed then I would understand, but it wasn't busy at all. After all that waiting, they still messed up my order! Now I'm sitting here, having to scarf my food down so I'm not late and the food isn't even correct. It seems there is always an issue with this place. I'm not sure if it's lazy workers or a poorly staffed store, but I'm done giving them chances.
