Il cartoccio 2 Cavour Reviews
The staff were really friendly and the place was well-maintained. Excellent food, both at the restaurant and the pizzeria. We had two fish-based starters and a pizza. Everything was delicious. We'll be happy to return. Congratulations again.
Super
Very friendly and helpful staff! Excellent pizza and carbonara! I recommend it.
Very good pizza with fair average prices, friendly staff, welcoming place... But paying 2.50 per person for cover seems excessive to me, I almost bought a Margherita... And the water is 2.50 and the cost of a medium Coke is a bit high.... These last things I would review 🤔😉
I've known this restaurant for years, and I've been a regular there for years. Both my friends and I always had a great time, until one evening, it was a complete disaster: poorly organized service, bad food—basically, a series of things that made us never go back. Then, I don't know why, my friends returned and told me something had changed and the food was good again. So I went back with them, and it was indeed the Cartoccio I remembered. The girl who served us was very quick, kind, and brilliant; the food was good, and there were no unexpected problems whatsoever. So, as I've done in the past, when I come to Piedmont, I'll definitely stop by Cartoccio.
Both the pizza and the food were good. The pasta was perfectly cooked. The tiramisu was delicious and not at all cloying. The large dining room was a bit chaotic, but despite being packed, the service was quick, always kind, and helpful.
The food was good. The service was a bit slow and distracted, but it was really busy that night and perhaps they could have used at least one more waiter. The staff, however, were friendly and knowledgeable, very courteous, and ready to joke. The wine list was good. The atmosphere was a bit noisy, but the place was busy. All in all, I'll be back, because it's not bad anyway. The bill was more than fair.
A restaurant with a good balance between elegance and simplicity. It offers a good selection of seafood and grilled fish dishes. The mixed grilled fish, which includes a small side dish, is excellent. There's also pizza, which I haven't tried; it's rolled out quite thin, as is popular in Piedmont. It's often quite busy, and the service isn't particularly fast, though it's attentive. Reservations are recommended. Prices are average for a good pizza restaurant.
The place isn't exceptional in terms of presentation, but both the pizzas and appetizers are excellent in both quality and flavor. The chiacchiere with guanciale is well-made, and the portions are generous. If you add pizza, unless you're accustomed to eating a lot, it's unlikely you'll be able to finish it, even if it's excellent.
The pizza is very good, if you take away pizzas avoid buying a 1.5L bottle of Coca Cola for €12
The food is good, but it's a shame the wait times are a bit long due to the lack of staff. And I applaud the waitress, who managed to handle a sold-out restaurant without forgetting a reservation. Of course, the owner could step up and lend a hand, or even increase the staff when the place is full.
I had dinner last night with a couple of friends. The pizza and food were all good, even the white wine by the glass, which is of poor quality in almost every place. The only downside was that there was only one waitress for the entire dining room. She was kind and knowledgeable, but the wait times were inevitably long. Finally, the owner, whose ability to deal with people isn't his strongest asset, seemed annoyed that I paid by debit card.
I had the gnocchi alla bava, they were very salty and inedible, I think the sauce was salted twice.
⭐⭐⭐ Only three stars for the following reasons: The whole-grain pizza dough was really good, but unfortunately there was too much cheese, which overpowered the overall flavor. The vegetarian selection was very limited. The only options were pasta or cheese gnocchi, and only two pizzas were vegetarian. No vegetarian appetizers were available. I pointed out this shortcoming to the waitress, who replied that there was no demand. I found this response absurd, considering that even omnivores can enjoy vegetarian dishes, often delicious, without necessarily eating meat or fish. Furthermore, demand could be encouraged with a more varied selection. The general menu always lacks vegetables, as if eating well meant excluding them. Furthermore, the pasta is never whole wheat, an option many customers would appreciate for a healthier and more balanced meal. And for vegans, does this ruin the deal? The waitress was generally friendly, but, perhaps because of my criticism, she went to take the order from a table that arrived after us, which left me a little perplexed.
Dico solo una cosa no comment è inclassificabile pizza minuscola e menomale perché la qualità è veramente scadente la salsiccia era avariata ho chiesto di rifarla e sono stato servito dopo 3/4 d’ora
We went to dinner with a birthday cake. At the end of the dinner, they charged us for cutting the cake when we could have easily cut it ourselves. Furthermore, the pizza with prosciutto and buffalo mozzarella consisted of four very thin, transparent slices of prosciutto and there was only a lot of tomato sauce.
