Have eaten here several times and the food is always good. However recently the chef special homemade pasta with meat sauce was so outstanding that I got an extra order to take home. It’s a comfortable, cozy place and Paula the bartender, server is the best!

The initials on all the walls tell me there were many thirsty people in this town.

This is in my top Three favorite restaurants! The workers are always friendly, the atmosphere is cozy and the food is amazing! I would recommend the Chicken Riggies or Cowboy Mac & Cheese. The popovers that the bring out are amazing as well. I would 100% recommend eating here!

Paula was our bartender and server, made us an EXCELLENT margarita to start, gave us great service while taking care of what seemed to be most of the restaurant, was super kind and patient with us, food was amazing and came out in a timely manner considering how busy it was. True professional in her field. DESERVES A RAISE! It’s so refreshing to go to a place you’ve been to many times and get the experience that Paula gave us. <3

Paula was amazing! Took care of us and our little baby so well, even took her around the restaurant and introduced her to everyone while we got a couple minutes to eat. The specials (a chili and beef stew) were incredible. Highly recommend

I don't love everything on the menu but their utica greens are delicious (super spicy) and I also enjoy the gouda fondue. Sitting at a table, the servers seem unhappy and bothered most time. Sitting at the bar is the way to go for a pleasant experience.

Oh yeah, this place was great! In town for a wedding and stopped here for lunch. Had a Guinness and a black bean quinoa salad... So so good! Service was great and was very enjoyable to eat in such an historic place. Definitely recommend.

Great food and such a cozy place. Really cold today and there was lovely fire that made you feel so good. Food was great. I had the Adult Grilled Cheese sandwich which came with creamy tomato soup. The sandwich had 3 kinds of cheese, ham and bacon and was just perfect. The soup was just delicious. It had a ton of tomatoes and was really creamy, so much flavor. They serve you hot popovers with honey butter and they were amazing. Had the french silk pie for dessert and it was heavenly. Great lunch. Will definitely go back.

Nice pub below a hotel. The setting is cozy and the food was good. The best part is the bread service which consists of a freshly baked popover served with honey butter. Delicious!

Interesting historical tavern with tasty bites. The turkey club was good and the blueberry ravioli was so unique😍 a must try dessert!

Extensive menu, a choice for everyone Popovers were a pleasant surprise to open the meal (instead of bread). Honey butter was excellent Had the Redneck Smashburger (with brisket because I could 😁) and Chicken Marsala, both highly recommended Service was quick and attentive Downstairs so a little "close" but still a fun space, cozy bar with hundreds of names carved into the walls... Part of the Lincklaen Hotel, built in 1835. Cool spot.

Four stars only because they serve a Beef on 'Wick that is absolutely not a Beef on 'Wick. Outside of that our entire party found the food to be good to excellent. Service was amazing. Tight but fun and cozy space. Great crowd. Will return.

This is a dark, cozy and casual place. However, it's very loud. The prices are fair and the food was good overall. The fish and chips were just average, but the Redneck burger was absolutely amazing!! I just wish that the portions were bigger.

Food was good. Service was great. Cool place to go, but not my number one go to. Prices are so so. Would recommend to try for yourself. The dish I had was pretty good.

We recently went to the Lincklaen House Restaurant for an early dinner and although we called the day before to find out if we needed reservations, the hostess did not tell us that the main restaurant was booked. When we arrived, the hostess explained that the main restaurant was holding a private party. She acted stressed and inconvenienced by our appearance. She told us at the door that we would have to eat in the Seven Stone Steps Tavern in the basement of the establishment or she could put us in a location she called the "Atrium" which was basically a cold and empty passageway. We agreed to remain even though one of our party is advanced in years and uses a cane. We looked at the atrium's solitary table that was not even set for use and took the basement option. When I arrived below ahead of our party to claim a table big enough for five, a grumpy employee informed me that we were not allowed to sit at a table until our entire party was present. I explained that my 94 year old father in law was slowly descending the steps and that we were indeed all present. After these two unfriendly initial contacts, we felt unwelcome. However things improved afterward. Our server was excellent, which is why I gave five stars for service and the barkeep came to our table to help us take a picture to mark the occasion. The food was not bad. Two of us got the steak option which was incredibly small but of good quality. My husband got the shepherds pie which he liked. My father in law got the scallop risotto which was so bad that he could not eat it. My son got the fish and chips, he ate it all but as an onlooker, I noticed the chips were burned. Just a comment on the fact that when people go out for a meal on the weekend, they are trying to celebrate something whether it is another day or an event. When staff approach, especially a hostess, they should be welcoming, kind and above all helpful. A hostess's job is to show the customers to their table and to make sure they are well settled before leaving them. The hostess at the Lincklaen pointed us to the "Atrium" but then did not show us exactly where it was. My husband had to go back to find her to verify that the abandoned nook she indicated was in fact the Atrium. A restauranteur should want people to come away thinking positive thoughts about the ambiance and food, not talking about how the grumpy hostess abandoned us.

*Edit to add, my date got food poisoning, possibly from the seafood bisque. Good food, tight quarters (the tables were really close together), decent service. Fresh popovers delivered to the table in a bread basket by the server were delicious. Moderately priced, but would definitely recommend this place for a casual bite to eat. *Edited to modify, would likely not return to this place.
