It's a really peaceful place with a well equipped spa , amazing scenery and amazing hiking routes nearby. The food of course has a very good quality.

This review has been a long time coming! My partner and I visited Silou (formerly Mont Avic Resort & Wellness) in May and would highly recommend visiting. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and roomy enough for two people and suitcases. The scenery is something out of story book. We loved the Glacial Lake hike and there were many other options. The food was impeccable, a beautiful melding of European cuisine with an Italian take. But most importantly, the staff were world class. Even though we were Americans that spoke little Italian they treated us like family, they showed kindness and generosity throughout our stay. I can say without question, we will return. Thank you to this amazing team!!

Perfect location, fantastic restaurant, very friendly and professional personnel, always available if necessary. Great facilities, great views, good walking possibilities. It was our third visit here and certainly not the last. Driving up the mountain to the hotel is also an adventure. The wellness (swimming pool) is also perfect. The wellness area is recently completely redesigned. Very comfortable, quiet and clean.

Mont Avic Resort provides the facilities, location, and service of a 4-5 star hotel at the price of a 3 star hotel. Gorgeous, almost overwhelming location that provides easy access to the beautiful Parco Naturale Mont Avic. Beautifully designed hotel and grounds with great attention to detail. Giovanni and Nino were very warm and gracious in their service and helping us with our special requests. The park has easy trails to navigate and hike. I highly recommend the resort and the park to anyone who loves beauty and nature.

Fantastic location! Fantastic staff! Really good breakfast! The lunches are great. The dinner menu is "cousine". It is pricy and the portions aren't big (not normal mountain food), but the meals are really great! The accomodation is beautiful and the general feel of the hotel is magical. It is a gem. The hikes in the area are really beautiful!

Stayed in Winter and in Summer and it's absolutely stunning. Rooms are beautiful especially if you have the larger decked balcony overlooking the Valley. Great restaurant and Spa facilities. Very welcoming to dogs too. Staff couldn't have been nicer. Highly recommend even with the windy drive up the mountain. Beware winter time can be tricky driving up but they plow and salt everyday.

Top notch mountain resort experience with spa options. Incredible breakfast (free) and delicious, affordable dinner restaurant. Dishes were well presented and traditional, yet unique. Our stay was too short.. can't wait to come again for 5 days minimum.

Disappointing Experience for Our Honeymoon My husband and I stayed at Silou Retreat for two nights at the end of our honeymoon. While this was the most expensive and highly anticipated part of our trip, it turned out to be the most disappointing. We arrived two hours before check-in and, even though we knew the room was already available (we’d tried to book it for the night before), we weren’t allowed to check in early—not even ten minutes before the official time. We weren’t offered access to the pool, a place to leave our bags, or even shade while we waited in the sun. What hurt the most was the complete lack of warmth. No congratulations for our honeymoon. No effort to make us feel special. We were seated at dinner at the only table without a view, despite there being many open ones, and weren’t allowed to move. It all felt unnecessarily cold, snooty, and transactional. Compared to the mountain huts we stayed in—which were simple but full of heart and kindness—this place felt like a business chasing luxury status without the hospitality to match. We almost left early to return to the huts, where we felt genuinely cared for. This retreat has potential, but the lack of basic kindness and customer care really ruined our experience. I wouldn’t return.
