La Grolla Saint-Vincent Reviews
Typical Aosta Valley cuisine where you can sample classic local dishes (we had soup, fondue, and Valdostana) without feeling like you're in a touristy restaurant. The Cogne cream is out of this world! Excellent selection of wines, both by the glass and bottle; quality cured meats and cheeses, also available in the shop attached to the restaurant. Fairly priced. The waiter who served us was very kind, friendly, and pleasant without being intrusive. Recommended!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Super positive experience at La Grolla Restaurant. Super good and high-quality food. The platter is truly super, plentiful, and perfect for sharing. The raclette is absolutely worth trying: truly delicious and, above all, a gigantic portion... practically impossible to finish 😂 Only thing to be aware of: inside, there's obviously a strong cheese smell, so be aware of that. Otherwise, a highly recommended place for those who love good food!
We ate at this lovely restaurant twice during our vacation. It's located in a quiet spot below the pedestrian zone. The terrace is a pleasant place to sit and is sheltered from the wind. The food was delicious both times, and the service was friendly. We highly recommend the pork tenderloin with coffee crust or porcini mushrooms, as well as the ravioli and gnocchi. They also offer excellent charcuterie and cheese platters.
Perfect place to feel at home.
Do.not let the outside appearance fool you: the restaurant is very charming inside and the food is great. This is the only restaurant where we went twice! A bit expensive, tough...
One of the oldest restaurants in town. Rustic atmosphere and typical dishes of the region. Top notch service.
Great service, great people, great food!

Amazing staff, foodAnd wine
The lady working here was very helpful and friendly, and helped us to a good meal despite my allergies. Friendly and warm atmosphere.

I was truly pleasantly surprised by the Seuppa, a typical local soup with stale bread, fontina cheese, cabbage, and broth...the suckling pig with apple compote and mustard was also delicious...for an appetizer, we had a crouton with lard...finally, we tried the famous "grolla" (a type of bread roll). Excellent place!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Good food and nice house wine. Desserts were interesting too. The cingale in juniper sauce was great.
Good
Good food in nice setting. Price worthy.
We have been advised to go in this restaurant by locals but, as sometimes happens, expectations are not always satisfied. Actually, this was the case where we ate a simple good food but paid way too much for it.
Change of management? Has anything changed? We've been customers for years, and every time I come to Saint Vincent, this place has always been a regular stop. Unfortunately, this time we were truly disappointed. The service seemed cold and distant; the staff gave the impression of maintaining a barrier with the customer, without making you feel welcome or at home. The biggest disappointment was the quality of the food, which seemed to have significantly deteriorated. The dishes we ordered were well below the standard we were used to. With great regret, this will probably be the last time we return. Best of luck and a word of advice: a smile when a customer comes in makes all the difference. In the past, we've always been served by a young, very thin woman, always smiling and helpful... she's missing today.
For a rather high price the value is poor and the service mediocre at best. We took raclette and the condiments were few and pretty cheap.
