Old Stone Trattoria Chappaqua Reviews
Old Stone Trattoria is such a cozy and familiar place! They have one of the most delicious Gnocchi alla Romana I’ve ever had in the state — perfectly soft and super creamy. The waiter was very friendly and proactive, even offered me wine samples to help choose the best match for my dish. Great experience and I super recommend you visit this establishment.
If you like thin pizza and live in the Chappaqua/Pleasantville area this is the place to go to. Very tasty!
This is a 5 star pizza restaurant do not be fooled by the 4.3 stars. The pizza is by far the best in the area and I wish more people in pleasantville knew about it because they would switch over immediately if they did.
@oldstonetrattoria 425 King Street Chappaqua, New York 10514 📌 Atmosphere 💚 was beautifully decorated, perfect place for a weekly family dinner or a birthday party. Small cozy yet perfect size for any gathering. Staff 🧑🏻🍳 was super friendly with a warm greeting as soon as you walked in. Once seated we were checked on multiple times to ensure we had everything we needed and wanted. Food 🍕 was WOW! Their brick oven pizza delicious, perfectly crispy and soft at the same time! When you walk in they give you their in-house freshly made bread with their tomato sauce for dippping and wow how delicious! 😋 We also ordered these amazing vodka Mac and cheese fritters, holy cannoli ! They were massive and so delicious! We would go back just for those 😆 10/10 recommend you guys give this place a try✨
Let me start off by saying..There isn't many better options to have Italian food in NY and that includes NYC..The service, the food & the atmosphere is impeccable. The chicken scarpariello is the best i have ever had. The chicken is always cooked to perfection, sliced thin potatoes, fresh sausage, mushroom & onion along with a rich sauce that is out of this WORLD. I also get a side of pasta with garlic and oil as well. Their grandma slice is GREAT. the sauce, the crust and the cheese are all cooked flawlessly. Angelo the owner is such a welcoming and pleasant guy. Our server Wilda was amazing and attentive. I can't wait to go back!
Great red sauce/pizza joint. Simple dishes are spot on, pizza is good. Portions are for sharing, 1 dish can be shared for 2 people fairly easily. Headline prices may seem high, but one of the best value places for a family.
This place is 5 out of 5. Service was great as soon as we walked in. Very welcoming and we were acknowledged right away. The food was also great, Buffalo sauce actually taste like Buffalo sauce - and not like cheap hot sauce (which many others do). Not too spicy, sweet but not too sweet. Reasonable pricing for the demographic. I would highly recommend and look forward to eating here again. They also have outdoor seating.
Decent food. Pizza was cooked perfectly and had a good amount of toppings and pepperoni rolls were flavorful. However, seafood salad had slightly overcooked octopus. Usually the seafood salad is alright, however I haven't had it in multiple years. Pizza delivery is fast and hot. Food is fresh.
Find myself coming back to Old Stone more then I care to admit, great Italian spot.
I place a delivery order last night, 08/03/2021, at 5:15 pm and they told me it would take 45 minutes. I called at 6:15 pm , 7:00 pm and they said they were waiting on the driver. At 7:20 pm the food came cold. They owner was to suppose to call me back to explain and reduce my bill - never called. This is not the first bad experience I have had with them in ordering for a pickup or delivery. My bad for ordering again and think it would change.
Water down fradiablo sauce sea food dish recommended by the waitress, when She came back to check on us I told her that it didn't taste good she didn't apologize or offered to change it and walked away. We were charged for it. Also my kids ask for spaghetti and meatballs and the sauce and meatballs had the same water down taste. It seams they use the same sauce in everything. The only reason I gave it 2stars is because my wife actually liked her Salad.
Terrible experience. The food was gross, how is this Italian food? I’ve had Italian food from all over the world and in New York City. This was one of the worst experiences in my life. The service is horrible too. Old Stone Trattoria is an easy pass for anyone who has decent taste buds. These positive reviews must be fake.
Not so friendly vibe when you come in. The waiter/waitresses give off good energy but the other staff not so much unless your a regular. The last time I was there I ordered 2 slices. The pizza tasted overheated that the cheese looked dark orange right before it burns look. I've had the pizza before and it was really good so I was disappointed. The time before that I had the chicken parm wedge. The cutlets were paper thin that when you bit into the sandwich all you tasted was a mouthful of bread. So I had to take the chicken out the 2nd half of the sandwich and place it into the 1st half I started eating to taste chicken. The very 1st time I went had the meatball parm and that I can say was good. The reason for 1 star is for consistency and non welcoming feeling when you enter the restaurant. 1st time the pizza was good then the other time its disgusting. Meatball parm good but your chicken parm is bad. How can you mess up a chicken parm? It literally just tasted like bread, cheese, and sauce.
I ordered a eggplant pizza roll with no cheese. It was so small and hardly any eggplant. It was put in a paper bag and I walked back to my car but I also felt it was light in weight like a feather. So disappointed I happened to pass Midland pizza and just out of Curiosity i ordered the same thing just to see the difference. I go to Midland a lot so I knew I would get a not only twice the size but delicious tasting. Even seems they put bits and pieces of left over eggplant in the roll. I know it’s just a pizza roll but it’s the principal of it and Disgraceful. Won’t be back
