Lovely breakfast with my 5 year old who wasn’t exactly very quiet but didn’t feel like we had to be silent. Lovely food, my son ate everything so must have been good. Jaqs was lovely friendly waitress

We popped into Bill’s for breakfast and had such a lovely experience. 😁 The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive without ever feeling rushed. Our breakfasts were delicious — fresh, well‑cooked, and nicely presented. Everything came out hot, and the portions were just right. It’s the kind of place where you can happily linger over a coffee and enjoy a slow start to the day. Overall, a really enjoyable breakfast spot. We’d definitely return next time.

We visited on valentine day, service was friendly & very good, atmosphere was ambient, food was tasty, I had the sea bass, my husband had the steak, we both had a starter and drinks, cocktails too.

We had an amazing brunch experience at Bill’s Restaurant, Braintree Outlet and a huge part of that was thanks to our server, Jaqs. From the moment we were seated, her infectious smile and genuine enthusiasm made us feel so welcome. She was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and more than happy to help us navigate the menu, offering great recommendations and answering our questions with ease. Jaqs’ positive energy and outstanding service truly elevated our visit and made the whole experience memorable. It’s rare to come across someone so passionate about delivering excellent customer service. She is a real credit to the team at Bill’s and we’ll definitely be back.

First time in bill’s at Braintree today for my boyfriend’s 40th birthday. We were served by Lily who was lovely. Nothing was too much bother! Food was amazing. We will definitely be back. Thank you

A delight! Lovely food and a nice relaxed environment. I come here once a month to treat my grandma and they are always very kind and friendly and they are dog friendly and even have a little dog menu which is great, my little dog enjoys their food. Our server Alex was very sweet and made sure we were enjoying our meal.

We have just finished a lovely half term lunch at Bills. We were seated straight away at a clean, cosy table even though it was very busy. The kids were engaged straight away with their menu activities with a good selection of crayons. Lily came over to take our drinks order immediately, despite it being full. I asked Lily if we could order food at the same time and she said "no problem". The food arrived quickly. Everything was hot and yummy. The kids ate everything and I felt it was good quality and portion sizes were good; especially with the kids eat free. Lily was very friendly and polite, she checked up on us and we felt very welcomed and well looked after. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks Lilly

Today, I visited with my daughter and partner. The service was excellent, and the staff was very polite and accommodating. Pattie and Miguel, who served us, were cheerful and kept our daughter entertained each time they approached our table, The service was exceptional and greatly appreciated. The food was served hot and was delicious. We plan to visit again.

Savannah was absolutely lovely to my table. i’ve only been to bills twice and both times Savannah has been a great service to myself and my family. i would 100% go back to bills after experiencing her kindness especially to my little one :)

We have had a lovely meal. Very relaxed and Savannah was very attentive to our needs. Very friendly and made our pooch so welcome too. The pancakes were amazing. Highly recommend them 😋

Great food, great service. Very accommodating with our dogs and baby after I forgot his lunch! Ordered the smashed avocado side and we were golden, they provided a bowl and he had a lovely lunch!

We tried the new menu. Omd definitely worth a try 🤌🏼 the service here is amazing, the food is amazing, its clean, its affordable. I ate cabbage, I dont even like cabbage, now that doesnt sound like much but for a tism it's big, the was it was cooked, I could not get enough 🤭 Our server Cameron was a very nice lad, very attentive. We will definitely visit again 🫶🏽

Had a lovely experience at Bill’s in Braintree. The food was delicious, well presented, and arrived quickly. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, making it a great place to enjoy a meal. What really stood out was the service - Patty and Miquel were absolutely fantastic. Both were friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely looked after without being overbearing. Their positive attitude and professionalism really added to the whole experience. Highly recommend this place, and a big thank you to Patty and Miquel for such great service. From the minute we walked in the staff were super friendly. We had the lovely Fin looking after us who was super attentive! The food was absolutely delicious - served hot, tasted fresh, and was affordable. The staff can't do enough for you, checking everything is ok with your meal, asking if you want anything else to drink when glasses are empty, and really friendly! We will definitely be back. My wife and I visited Bill's for the first time. Food was delicious and had an interesting menu to choose from. Our waiter, Lily, was friendly and attentive. We never felt like we were waiting too long for our food or any help needed from the staff, and this was on a busy Friday evening. My wife said her burger was "the best she's had out in a long time". A well deserved full marks, thanks guys.w

We had Jaqs serve me for my birthday and I must say she went above and beyond about making it a special occasion! Ordered chocolate pancakes and they came out extra special with a sparkler and singing happy birthday, had Jaqs serve me for many years and service has always been the same. If I could give 10 stars I would. Thank you Jaqs 🩷

We had a lovely meal here at Bills. The lovely Jaqs couldn't do enough for us, she laughed with us, looked after us and made sure we had our doggy bag for the last donut we couldn't eat! She is fab! The food was also delicious, particularly the buttermilk chicken burger! Can't wait for our next visit!

We had a fantastic dining experience, where both my wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Ruby, our waitress, was outstanding, going above and beyond in her service, making our visit memorable. Really amazing lunch, very impressed that they got 9 of us in and seated in under 5 minutes without a booking. Our server Dion was so lovely, really great with the kids and just the right level of attentive. I had the vegan burger followed by vegan chocolate tart with coconut ice - both were absolutely delicious. Everyone in our party really enjoyed their meal. We will definitely be back :D

Savannah was very friendly and bent over backwards to ensure that we all had a delicious meal and had everything we wanted. She was so good at ensuring that my intolerances were taken into consideration. Would definitely come back again.

Bill’s Braintree is a lovely restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff are friendly, attentive, and always make sure you feel comfortable. The food was delicious — fresh ingredients, well-cooked dishes, and nicely presented. I especially enjoyed the breakfast options and desserts. Prices are fair for the quality you get. A great place to relax and enjoy a meal with family or friends.

Savannah is absolutely amazing, great attitude, so friendly at first we were not happy with service from other waiters but savannah completely turned the experience around, she is an asset to the business ❤️ I would definitely come back if she was my waitress every time :)

Had a family Christmas lunch here this past weekend. Our server Jaqui was fantastic! The games they have at the table made it feel very festive too! Food was delicious too!

The food was amazing my burger was perfect and really big for kids size. And are waiter Jaqs was amazing really nice and made sure are food was alright was very polite and made the experience better and it was a amazing experience all together I would definitely go again - Albie 12 I had never been before and Jaqs was amazing. She suggested an amazing meal and was caring the whole time we were there. Thank you for a great experience and the food was brilliant.

This was one of our first dates was here and we enjoyed the good food, relax chilled atmosphere and to top it the staff were lovely. We came back years later, sat in the same seats and it was just as amazing as the first time we came. Love it.

Visited today, have visited numerous times and been served by Jaqs who is always so friendly and helpful. Very polite and always making sure everything is OK. Service was good, very quick and food was great. Blue light card discount too which always is good. Will come back again.

We are regulars at Bills and we love it here. The breakfast is always fab and service is quick and friendly. Our waitress today was Jaqs; she has been our waitress many times before and she is always welcoming with a big smile and great service!

Went to Bills in Braintree freeport for some breakfast and it did not disappoint. Was one of the nicest Bills I have been to in a while and the pancakes were the best. Jaqs our server was super lovely as well which is always a bonus!

Nice place! Visited with the family, at first i was skeptical. Then Savannah was the server for the table. Shes a credit to the business, amazing person with a bubbly personality. Would defiantly come back. Only negative, was the male manager in a pink shirt, who unfortunately was very rude to the staff in front of the customers.

Lilly was so attentive to us and always making sure we have everything we needed. Really good food! Well done and well arranged on plate! It was a bit chilly inside.

Food was okay, but we were sat in a corner and were forgotten about most of the time. Had to wait quite long between drinks and meals because of it. it was £90+ for three people, two courses each

I'm a bit confounded by how many rave reviews there are. My experience is similar to a post where they said it's mixed. Having read some reviews for the Colchester restaurant, it's similar there too. With that research, I noticed the stock response to critical feedback is always the same, which tends to indicate a management won't take much notice; they get plenty of more enthusiastic, less critical customers. For the price, I'd expect a pat of butter with a muffin, and eggs Hollandaise in the correct sauce. It's a tricky dish but you do need the sauce to be warm! More than £3.00 for one mint tea warrants a little jug of extra boiling water. It was nice to see dogs are allowed, but I got the feeling some staff aren't keen on trying not to trip over them.

Not allowed to sit in a booth as 3 people not enough ( although empty restaurant for most of our visit ), starter came with main course, child’s chicken very poor quality, had to get out of seat to order an extra Pepsi even though next to the bar and toilets not very clean. Think we’ll give it a miss in future!

Waiter was a bit rude, we felt he was rushing us quite a lot to make our minds up and order. The food was a bit mixed, some of our dishes were nice but others were dry and tasteless. The service (despite being rushed to make choices) was very slow. The lady who served us was lovely, however the man made a few snarky comments and I caught him whispering to his colleagues about us (very bitchy vibes). The food was quite expensive for what it was.
