Kopper Kettle Chester Reviews
Nice little family owned place. Good food, nice people. Service was quick. Orders were accurate. Coffee was fresh at 4 in the afternoon. Not terribly expensive for a resort town.
Great food, I recommend the Monticristo sandwich. Service was pretty good.
We had the BLT and added avocado. Was delicious! The fries were really good as well.
This place was AMAZING!! Me and the fam just happened to be passing through Chester and seen this place! The man she greets you (his name is Chester) is so kind and attentive!! The waitress was very sweet and came to get our order very quick!! The food was all amazing we ended up getting cheese sticks, potato skins for sides. They were delicious! The cheese sticks are flavorful and have a good cheese stretch! I got a burger as my main meal and it was delicious, there is nothing like a good burger!! I definitely recommend this place if you are ever near it!
Very welcoming. Delicious food! Generous portions. Don’t be in a rush. Just enjoy.
Great service, clean, friendly and the largest slice of ham I've seen in decades with wonderful smoked flavor. Over easy eggs were perfect. And I hear their hamburgers are excellent too! I will have to try them on my way through Chester again......... so, went back through Chester in the afternoon for a bacon cheeseburger and it was good and huge, plus a big salad that went with it with excellent ranch dressing. I wish I lived in Chester!
We stopped here for dinner last weekend. The food was delicious. The meatloaf and chicken fried steak were outstanding and large portions for a reasonable price. The service was also great!
Had no expectations for this place: middle of nowhere and mediocre reviews. Maybe this is why we were so pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and accommodating; the service was fast and efficient. We ordered the pesto omelette and the pesto chicken sandwich, and both were very tasty and fulfilling. The homestyle potatoes and garlic fries really hit the spot. One dish is enough for two people, the portions are so generous. Really recommend this place if you are in the area with furry a friend (patio is dog friendly!).
Diamond in the rough for sure. From other reviews, I would say their American food is ok, but all I ever ate here was their sushi and it was spectacular. As a business traveler, it was a welcome surprise and every time the service and sushi was spot on. Every appetizer from shrimp tempura, potstickers and crab rangoons were piping hot and utterly delicious. Atmosphere is off-putting, but that didn't matter once the food came. 5 stars!!
UPDATE!!!! 4-12-22 They aren't great at the diner type food. They will be hiring new cooks to cook the diner type food. But! What Chef Jenny is excellent at is SUSHI!!! Believe it or not, it's REALLY GOOD!!! I won't order from the old menu. But I WILL be enjoying the sushi there! What a wonderful addition to Chester!
Cute little place to stop at and the prices are not bad, highly recommend if you're driving through! Got the barbecue western burger with sweet potato fries and would definitely get again
This was one of our favorite family style restaurant for over 20 years. After the change in ownership, we have avoided and truly missed this restaurant experience. After 5 years, we ventured to try again. Today, our selections were excellent. We had Eggs Benedict, Vegetable Omelette requested to be done as a scramble, pancakes, and Extemely fresh fruit. We seldom dine out, so we were pleased to know and find this establishment ONCE AGAIN available to us to enjoy. Thank you.
Kopper Kettle Cafe has extensive menu with something for everyone. We went there for brunch and loved everything that we ordered. Pesto omlete was delicious. The mushrooms and peppers used in omlete were super fresh. Pesto was flavorful. Pancakes were soft, light and just the right amount of sweet. My friends loved the fresh biscuit. And special mention for the very delicious butter. It added extra flavor to toast, pancakes, french toast. Highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Chester.
I'm not sure why this place has such high reviews. The food was mediocre, at best. The only thing I liked were the French fries. Those were amazing. My fish tasted bland (supposed to have been cooked in a blackened fashion) and weird. The burger and hot dogs weren't finished by my boys (they eat almost any and everything like these dishes; generally asking for seconds). My wife liked her chicken quesadilla. We had to keep asking for silverware, never refilled our waters, refused to figure out how to get the tables to join together (we ended up having to do it ourselves); the service was definitely lacking. I just expected a lot more based on the 4.8 star reviews on Google Maps and it was more like a 3.0 (it's OK; not bad, but not great). Not a lot of choices to pick from though, unfortunately (in town).
God awful. 3rd time there and same experience each time. The last visit was the final straw. Standard experience: Old man greets you after a 20 minute wait and says "I'm not sure where I can put you, we are really behind and only have one server". Pleasant and nice. Proceeds to wait another 10 minutes for a dirty table. Food is mediocre at best, not bad, not great. Service is awful. 20 minutes before server stops at your table. You better have all drink and food orders ready or you aren't getting another chance. 50/50 whether all your food comes out to table before first plate has been served and eaten. None of your drinks will ever be refilled and you better hope they have syrup or ketchup already at your table or your looking at other tables to steal from. Last visit the old man cussed me out because he walked up to our table to give us syrup. We were half way done with meal having syrup already and I politely asked if we can have our waters (we had zero drinks on our table and ordered oj, sodas, and water). He said "He's only one person and can only move so fast and you should know this". I removed some cuss words. Never coming back.
I recently visited the Kopper Kettle, a place I first enjoyed 40 years ago, and was saddened by the experience. Under the new ownership, the quality has noticeably declined. The food no longer has the homemade charm it once did, tasting bland and commercial, reminiscent of a chain diner. It seemed largely composed of reheated Sysco prodcuts, with heavy use of highly processed ingredients overpowering any freshness. While the staff was polite, the meal fell far short of the warm, authentic dining experience I remembered. I hope the new owners can revive the restaurant’s former quality and heart.
Nothing exciting whatsoever. Bland burger. Waitress looked bored. The whole experience was boring and uninspired. Waste of $25. Edit Tuesday Jan 13,2025: During the slow season they perform even worse. I found a hair in my burger, And nearly puked. I had to pay full price for this,as the new owners barely speak English. Fully Asian owned trying to pull off American food. I won't give them my business again. Barf ugh
The burger meat smelled unappetizing and when I politely mentioned this the manager became angry and said many customers enjoyed their burgers. I have never not eaten a burger, ever. Very disappointing and especially how threatened I felt when the manager came out from behind the counter following me.
