Visiting Chicago and had a party of 4 on valentines nonetheless. Michelle our server absolutely crushed the service on most likely one of the most important restaurant nights for the industry. We always had water on the table, she was able to recommend amazing cocktails and dishes, and by the end we felt so special we may as well been besties!! The food was top tier standouts being the babaganoush and fattoush salad and presentation was fabulous!! I usually take pictures but it looked so good I forgot to. The next time I am in town I will be definitely coming back, and when my friends visit Chicago it will be my own top rec!! Thank you to the manager chase for coming over and making sure we were having an excellent time!! Till next time!
Genesis was an amazing hostess and the food was so good. We enjoyed every dish more than the last and sampled just about everything. We had the chance to meet the chefs a husband and wife and they were so friendly. The flavor of the food was amazing and all the drinks were good as well. The decor was also beautiful. Highly recommend this place!
Fabulous place with mouth watering dishes. Easy to make the appetizers into a shareable evening. Even my vegetarian friend had plenty to eat. Everything was cooked to perfection. Likely the most tender beef I’ve had in a while. A true must try place!
Every bite was an experience! The flavors and genius of every dish were unforgettable! What a fabulous experience! Chef Alex, every accolade is well deserved! Thank you for an unforgettable evening! The service is not to be underestimated as well! Espresso martini … the best I’ve ever had! Fabulous from start to finish!
Medi is such a vibe - loved the interior & super fun for a dinner with friends or a pre-going out dinner. Would highly recommend the lamb kabab and Habibi One More Time drink. One of the best lychee drinks I’ve ever had! They also have celiac friendly options and provide veggies alternatives for all dips if needed. Will be back!
Pardis was the most amazing server with great recommendations! The food was excellent and highly recommend the beef kabob with grilled veggies, we were obsessed!! The drinks are also excellent.
Santiago was awesome! Chicken Schwarma was delicious and you have to try the Medi Martini with Kastra Elion Greek Vodka, dry gin and Cocchi vermouth. I’ll be back soon.
I had an amazing dining experience at Medi, thanks to our incredible server, Genesis! From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Genesis provided top-notch service, checking in at just the right moments and offering great recommendations. She truly made our meal special with her kindness and professionalism. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend asking for Genesis if you want a fantastic dining experience!
Amazing drinks ( specially the Dubai chocolate old fashioned) and a wonderful dessert ( Pistachio baklava cheesecake). Bumi and Catherine were very attentive and made our experience even better, I definitely recommend this place!
I recently had one of the best meals in a long time at Medi Chicago, and I can't recommend it enough! We started our evening during happy hour (4-6pm) with their well-crafted cocktails, which set the perfect tone for the night. For appetizers, we indulged in the Shrimp Harra and Spicy Lebanese Potatoes—both were delightful and bursting with flavor. For our entrees, we chose the Chicken Shawerma and Grilled Shrimp Skewer, and they did not disappoint! Each dish was freshly made and incredibly delicious. No meal is complete without dessert, so we treated ourselves to the Baklava Pistachio Cheesecake and the Cotton Candy Sundae. Both desserts were heavenly and the perfect way to end our dining experience. The ambiance was cozy and relaxing, making it the ideal spot for a girls' night out after a long week of traveling, doctor appointments, and work. Our server, Pedi, provided exceptional service and great recommendations, enhancing our overall experience. Overall, I would rate Medi Chicago a solid 10/10! It’s definitely on my list of places to return to, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience.
Medi is not only very pretty but the food is delicious as well! Their brunch seriously blew me away. The beef kabob was the best beef kabobs I’ve ever had! It was incredibly tender and deliciously marinated! I swear I’m going to be thinking about it again for the next few days. The beef shawerma was flavorful and even crispy in some areas what was so yummy! The hummus complemented all the lunch dishes. We actually decided to do the breakfast dish of Baklava Cinnamon French Toast as the dessert and oh boy was it deliciously crispy and the layers just unraveled beautifully in my mouth. I seriously can’t wait to go again soon! [MediaInvite] @TheFoodieAesthetic on Instragam & Tiktok
An absolute gem in the heart of Lincoln Park for exceptional Mediterranean food. Every dish was made with quality and full of flavor — the baba ghanoush was creamy and refreshing, while the spicy Lebanese sausage had a rich tomato taste with a perfect kick. The kebabs were incredibly tender and well-seasoned. Their deserts are also incredible — the cotton candy sundae was a fun spectacle to enjoy, and the Kanfeh was cheesy and super satisfying. The service was excellent, and the interior felt quite intimate. A delightful meal all around.
Me and my wife came for a date night and were blown away! The place is Gorgeous! The food is delicious. We got the hummus plate and falafel for apps, all perfect starters. Cocktails were strong and tasty. For our mains we ordered the lamb kabob and kafta, both delicious but the lamb was perfection. Service was great. We'll both be back with friends!
When walking in, the decor is eye catching. Though the real treat is the family friendly vibe and treatment given by the staff. From Bismark service delicious Espresso Martinis to Hermiz who checked on us during the wraps. Make sure to ask for the garlic sauce and spicy sauce.
Beautiful place for dinner with friends or a date night. The mocktail was the best I’ve had in a long time. The appetizers were amazing and I had the shrimp skewers which were delicious. A few of my friends had the lamb which was delicious as well but the pieces were on the smaller side. My only complaint was the lentil soup was too salty for my liking but otherwise everything was amazing. The ice cream with cotton candy was a surprisingly nice combination and it’s big enough to share with a few friends. Added bonus is the restaurant is halal
The food, atmosphere, and customer service was spectacular. We had such a cozy and nice quality date night here. The vibes were great and whoever is managing the playlist there it’s 10 out of 10. You must get the beef kebab either get it with the salad or get it with the rice either way you can’t go wrong. The cotton candy dessert was great and so were the drinks!
Medi Kitchen & Cocktail has delicious takeout, an amazing hummus spread platter, great cocktails, and a wonderful ambiance. One of my favorite spots!
I recently went to Medi and had the best time! the ambience was stunning and the staff were so friendly and helpful! For appetizers were got the hummus and potato borak and it was delicious and perfectly seasoned! for entrees we got the chicken and steak Kabob’s and they were perfectly cooked! an amazing restaurant for a date night or night with friends!
This place is great!! We went here on Mother’s Day and sat at the bar. The staff was super friendly. One of the waitresses even let me use a tide stick when I got a spot on my white dress. The drinks are very well balanced and the food is fresh and flavorful. This is an excellent date night spot or for brunch with friends.
Medi is a small, festive Mediterranean restaurant located in Lincoln Park. The food was absolutely delicious! The cocktails were interesting but still good. Great prices and accommodating service! We had my mom’s birthday dinner here and really enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely return!
Brunch at MEDI was such a fun experience . Located in North Ave, Medi is a beautiful Mediterranean restaurant serving Mediterranean food and drinks. I absolute loved the decor and vibe of this place. The host and server were so friendly and welcoming. We went on Sunday and were able to chose from both the lunch and brunch menu. We started with the Medi Cocktail and Arabian coffee. If you have never had Arabian coffee before, I highly recommend trying. It's light, flavorful and aromatic. The Medi cocktail was also refreshing and fun. We then tried the Jajik and Ful. Both the dips were excellent and went well with the pita bread. I like that the pita bread was not thick but thin and light. We then tried the Shish Tawook and Shawerma. I am obsessed with how good the Shish Tawook was, the chicken was perfectly grilled and so tender and moist. The rice accompanying it was also so delicious. The shawarma (beef steak) was also really good. Finally we ended our wonderful brunch with something sweet. The Baklava Cinnamon French Toast was the star dish, it was not overly sweet and tasted amazing. Overall we had a wonderful dining experience and can't wait to go back to try the dinner menu soon.
I recently tried this restaurant in the heart of Lincoln Park. It’s one of those places that I’ve pasted by so many times, but never ventured in. I’m so glad that I did try it out. First, the atmosphere and ambiance is amazing. The highlight of decor and the is plants. While I think most of the plant life is faux, that doesn’t take away from the great look. I felt that the plants with the white, exposed brick walls are a great look. Second, the cocktails are creative and fun. I ordered a cold brew old fashioned. This combines whisky and coffee, and it is literally my two favorite drinks in one. I highly recommend this drink. Third the food is very good. I ordered potato borak and soujek as appetizers, the beef kabab and chicken shawarma has main dishes and the vanilla ice cream with Middle Eastern cotton candy and kunafa for dessert. The beef kabab and chicken shawarma were good, but the highlights were the appetizers. If only because I’ve never had either potato borak and soujek before, they were my favorites of the night. The sausages and sauce of the soujek was flavorful with a nice shot of spice. The potato borak has a nice crispy wrapper and soft and yummy filling. I also enjoyed trying kunafa for that fist time. It was nice to find a Middle Eastern restaurant in Lincoln Park doing more that just kababs. Fourth, the service was very good. My waitress was friendly, listened to me and brought out the food quickly. In sum, this is a must visit restaurant in Lincoln Park.
I was deeply surprised. Taste the food in this place is like an spiritual experience. Wagyu braised octopus (allepo tomato jam, batata harra, fresh herbs), sided with an unbelievable Watermelon salad (French feta, Kalamazoo olives, honey allepo dressing, herbs ) Amazing kitchen, amazing cocktails and a fantastic Armenian red wine !!! Reward yourself, enjoy Mediterranean food at its best !!!
This was our first time here at this restaurant and the attention and service provided to us by our waitress Pardis was beyond and above excellent. She was very kind and helpful. Another staff member named Alberto was also great and even recommended a dessert that was so amazing that it is now our favorite. Food was also excellent and served promptly as ordered as well as their drinks were amazing.
I had a wonderful time at Medi. Genesis was our server and she was amazing. She's very knowledgeable of the menu. We ordered her recommendations and everything was tasty. Can't wait to come back!
Everything was so good!!! I ordered the falafel plate & the shrimp appetizer. Both were 10/10! Also, Genesis is the BEST!!! She is so knowledgeable and gave me some good recommendations. Please request her!!
Best V-day date EVER! They have an amazing steak, and za'atar seasoned fries were on point! The chicken dish my boyfriend had made me want to come back. The music and atmosphere were such a vibe. The bar manager Bismark found the perfect bourbon for my boyfriend, and Michelle's recommendation for the drink "habibi, one more time" added such flavor to my meal. And it was so nice of Chase to check in on our experience. The busboys were so polite yet efficient. This place was "chef's kiss, 10 out of 10" as they say.
Visiting from Florida and Medi Chicago blew me away. The steak kabob and chicken shawarma were hands-down one of the best I’ve had. The octopus was tender, rich, and had deep flavors that tasted super fresh. The drinks were creative, unique, and crafted perfectly. The atmosphere was spot on and instantly transported me back to Spain. Service was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Highly, highly recommend! Wish they had one of these in Tampa!
I recently had the pleasure of being served by Katie, and I must say, she provided an exceptional dining experience. From the moment I sat down, Katie was attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient. She took the time to explain the menu options and offered helpful recommendations based on my preferences. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made me feel instantly comfortable, and her attentiveness throughout the meal was outstanding. Katie consistently checked in to ensure everything was to my liking, and she promptly addressed any requests I had. Her professionalism and genuine care for her customers truly stood out. Thanks to Katie, my dining experience was not only enjoyable but also memorable. I highly recommend her as a waitress and commend her for her outstanding service!
The vibe here was great! Katie did a great job! She offered great suggestions and was at our table to check on us just when we needed it! Very attentive to our needs! Super great atmosphere. Loved the music and decor! Food was great, loved everything we tried! The white wine was AMAZING
I had a blast celebrating my birthday with some friends last night, and Genesis was our amazing server! She went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time. She gave us some incredible food recommendations, and they were absolutely delicious! She always made sure we had plenty of refreshing beverages. The food was so yummy and the drinks were so good. Thank you, Genesis, for being so wonderful! We’ll definitely be back for more!
I had such a wonderful experience here! The food was absolutely amazing — full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and clearly made with care. The atmosphere and ambiance were also really lovely — warm, inviting, and perfect for relaxing and enjoying a great meal. Our waitress, Genesis, truly made the experience even better! She was personable, attentive, and had such great energy that made the whole visit feel even more enjoyable. It’s rare to find a place that gets the food, service, and atmosphere all right. Highly recommend — I’ll definitely be back
The food was beyond anything imaginable and impressive! I’ve dined at several restaurants throughout Chicago and Mediterranean restaurants and this by far was exceptional! Everything was fresh and flavorful!!! The drinks are 10/10 some of the best I’ve had. Our server Genesis was truly a delight to have. She was attentive and provided great recommendations. I honestly can’t say enough great things about this place. This place is truly phenomenal! I look forward to my next visit!
Genesis was out of this world fantastic with her suggestions and prompt service to make sure we had our needs met. The food was out of the world fantastic. I’m a coffee snob and this was one of the best coffees I had. From starters to dessert every single dish was great. The octopus, the potatoes, the spinach with Feta, the desserts were awesome. My only regret, not having a bigger stomach! If you go, request Genesis as your server, she was the very best!!!!
What a lovely experience. The vibe is cozy and inviting, the Habibi drink is fantastic (thank you Santiago!) and the food is fresh. We got some rice and kafta, and the grilled shrimp appetizer per our server Genesis’ request. Glad we went with her recommendation!! So yummy!!!
This was my second time here, and the service was very attentive and the food was hot. The atmosphere was great and interactive as they were handing out samplers of a brand promo. The management was very accommodating for any questions we had regarding allergies and food questions. Great spot for drinks and appetizers.
The service food and ambiance were unbelievable. Particularly from our server Katie. She made us feel so happy and just had an amazing energy to her. I would definitely go back. It was also delicious and the drinks were wonderful.
The shrimp happa appetizer was out of this world. The baba and feta a spinach were great. We had lamb and beef kakbobs that were tender and very flavorful. Everything we had was supreme. They know flavor. The dessert chef has 2 Michelin stars and didn’t disappoint. Who makes cotton candy ice cream? The waitress Genesis treated us like family.
We had a great experience at MEDI. Michelle was our server and she was so kind and attentive. She recommended the baba ganoush and beef kabob (not kefta) and both were amazing. The baba ganoush was creamy and had depth of flavor, super balanced and couldn’t stop eating it. The beef kabob was SO tender and SO flavorful. Probably some of the best beef I’ve had in Chicago. We also got the mushrooms which were okay, I would have cooked out the moisture in the mushrooms a bit longer but the sauce it was cooked in was delicious. Would definitely come back!
Came here with a group of 10 on a super busy night, and even with a long line, the service was incredible. The staff was so attentive, but a special shoutout to our server—I believe her name was Mooney? She was a lovely lady and so incredibly nice; I’d go back just for her! We shared all the bites as a group. The Wagyu braised octopus is an absolute MUST and the hummus was delightful. Just a bit of constructive feedback on the meats: we found the red meat to be a tad dry—adding more fatty parts to the mix would really help make it more juicy and moist. Also, the chicken was a bit bland; a good brine would likely elevate the flavor and texture. Overall, a great experience thanks to the wonderful service. We’ll definitely be back!
Loved the ambiance. Beautifully decorated. Quiet house music. Layla was politely attentive and welcoming. I have ordered beef shawarma over many years at many restaurants both in the US and Lebanon and have never had the meat very charred like it was here so that was a bit of a disappointment. I much prefer it to be tender all around. Portions generous and overall food delicious.
Supe cute spot for appetizers and drinks. Genesis is an amazing host who made us feel welcomed and had great drink recommendations. Will definitely be back!
Delicious dishes and starters. See pictures. The dinner menu has a greater variety of options vs the lunch menu. Nevertheless, still good. Street parking was easy to find. I’ve been both during lunch and dinner hours- no problems looking for parking. Service was super during the dinner hour. However. When we went again during lunch hours, the server was not attentive at all. 1) She forgot our request after asking 3 times for extra sauce, so we gave up. 2) We wanted water refill and she didn’t come back. 3) A few times, I tried to wave her over, she walked straight passed our table and headed to the back kitchen… quite rude. Paying by cash gives you a discount on the final bill. This is printed on the bill. We had a party of 8, so our lunch bill was not small change. Despite the service, we did give her appropriate tip.
A great Mediterranean restaurant! I got the kebab and it was absolutely delicious. I would absolutely recommend! The restaurant is also so cute with a great modern space and a great cocktail menu. The staff was helpful and the food came out really quickly. I had a great time and would definitely stop in again.
The decor is colorful and cozy. The restaurant is packed and crowded, but it somehow works. The drinks were not worth the price. The bathrooms were a bit messy. It is a good spot to try, but not a favorite. The hummus was really good and I would come back only for that.
Genesis took such great care of us!! The food was delicious and the vibes were so great. We got the spinach & feta, kafta, shrimp plate. AND THE STICKY TOFFEE CAKE WAS AMAZING!!! So decadent and also HUGE.
The hummus was really good we devoured it. The potato borek was an interesting experience, tasted like a samosa but less season and looked like a spring roll. The chicken shawarma was honestly very mid and tastes like biryani meat. The cotton candy ice cream was like soan paper. The sticky date cake was good! The service was slow
This was a nice atmosphere as long as you are not seated by the door in winter but overpriced for the food that is served. The food was pretty good for two dishes but not for $25 for chicken kabobs and rice. And the falafel was so overcooked and burnt, it was not edible.
All dishes we had here were really, really strong. The beef shawarma and baba ghanoush were highlights, great flavor profile and cooked extremely well. Lamb Kabob was similarly well cooked with lots of great flavor and a little spice. Service was pretty slow and they weren’t able to sit us until about 15 minutes past our reservation time. Similarly disappointed to see a credit card surcharge on a dinner that is already pretty expensive, no one is carrying that amount of cash on their person, accepting cards in this day in age is the cost of doing business and it’s a bit of a smack in the face to pass it on to the consumer. Take that away and this is an easy 4 stars.
The drinks were delicious, but that’s where my praise ends. We didn’t get sat for our 7pm reservation until 7:30 and then waited another 10 minutes for our server. The manager came by and said he’d send over free food. Our entrees were good but not better than take-out Mediterranean I’ve had before. We had finished our entrees and 15 minutes later our server came by to say the manager was sending over 2 free appetizers. At this point we just wanted to go home, so we declined and asked for our desserts to go. They came out 10 minutes later on plates, and we had to ask again for them to be to go. I was so excited to try Medi as the restaurant week menu sounded delicious, but unfortunately the service just really let us down (and there were a few empty tables so they weren’t slammed or anything). I don’t think I’d recommend dining in but maybe to-go would be better!
