Mimi's Tuk Tuk Chula Vista Reviews
One of the best California burritos in San Diego!! Plenty of carne asada meat as well as delicious fries. Wish there was some guacamole in the mix as well. Still amazing! Salsas are fire as well 🔥🔥🔥 it appears a single dude is running everything, so kudos for being able to do so, and still make delicious food!!
The 20-Inch Monster California Burrito is an absolute beast! Bursting with flavor, fiery heat, and pure satisfaction in every bite. Crafted with love by one owner and one hardworking cook, this hidden gem sits on a block that’s got everything you need. From bold taste to authentic quality, this burrito doesn’t just fill you up, you hope it makes it to paradise 💥
The food was amazing and the portions were more than generous. The service was wonderful and quick. I would absolutely eat here regularly if I lived in the area.
This place is legit. I was at first taken aback by the astronomical price of their burritos; even the tacos seemed expensive. However, once the food comes out you understand why everything is so pricey. A $20 burrito is absolutely massive, and that's not even the largest burrito (something in the range of $40-$50). Everything was really tasty and a buddy went back the following day to eat there again.
Walking into this place is like walking into a mom and pop taco shop in TJ. The breakfast burritos were fantastic.
Surprisingly delicious and consistently best in the surrounding area. The burritos are huge and lots of creative and different kinds. Love their carne asada & breakfast burritos.
Small hole in the wall don’t miss it! Better to go in the car or at home, very small location With folding table with umbrellas. The food makes up for anything la lacking. Cash or card, no Apple Pay. The burritos are perfectly toasted and flaky on the outside, and as big as you want. 14$ foot long or bigger if you want monster sized!! Rolled tacos were a mix of fresh ingredients that make their specials on weekdays an easy lunch!!!
Today is first time ordering from this taco shop and I gotta say I’m dropping my original go to taco shop for El Papas Fritas taco shop! Sorry not sorry. I came across them on DoorDash and so happy I made the choice the food was on point, very delicious. Definitely recommend it!
The portions are huge and enough to feed 1, 2 or 3 lol. So many varieties of tacos and burritos. My favorite is the hot cheetos burrito and their red habenero sauce, great combination. Highly recommend this place and beware of the food coma eating here haha.
Bolt Burrito is the size of your forearm!!! Truly monstrous and oh so delicious. No regrets whatsoever. Staff was friendly and the burrito was wrapped really good. Give this place a try. Visited Q1 2022
The breakfast burrito that you have been searching for! Fantastic! Absolutely full of quality ingredients. Not skimpy at all. Thank you for a phenomenal start to my day El Papas Fritas.
Just ordered door dash from this place. I eat a lot of Mexican food all over town and I have to say that this place is my new favorite! Ordered a carnitas plate and a California burrito. They do not skimp on the food! Not only that but this is absolutely authentic and delicious!! Definitely my new go to when I need my Mexican food fix!!
Small little place but really good food 16 inch burritos. I couldn’t believe the size of that burrito. It was delicious. They have several types. A good variety of different salsa
Carne Asada Burrito Review Summary: "Can't go wrong" – A good-sized burrito at a standard San Diego price of $14.81. The tortilla is fresh and tender, and the meat is juicy and lite flavor. The taste is satisfying, though it could use a bit more flavor for those who aren't fans of hot sauce. The variety of hot sauces available is a great bonus. Hole in the wall with seating but would only take togo. Time of Visit Visited at 8pm. The place was empty, no other customers around. There's no drive-through, but street parking is available right in front. Like other reviews, I saw only one guy in there busy cleaning and is the cook so he might not hear you coming. Highlights: - The meat is juicy, soft, and cut into small pieces, making it easy to eat. A lot of meat. Come with a tad amount of pico de gayo and guacamole 🥑. - Self-serve station with a variety of creamy and regular hot sauces (green, orange, red), along with chips, a big sauce container, and radish condiments. Suggestions: - Add more flavor to the meat for those who prefer not to use the complimentary hot sauces. -some folks may want a bit more pico de gayo or guacomole -May need a customer bell to get the attention of the "one guy" 😂.
Tried their food first time and really liked it. Pretty large portion of Chipotle Fries with grilled chicken, bacon, sour cream and chipotle salsa. Fresh tortilla chips with some guacamole enough to feed two. 🌮🌮🇲🇽🌯🫔 This place has become one of usuals to go to. They don’t disappoint each time. 🌯🌮🌯🌮
Came for a Cali burrito. It doesn't come with Guacamole here so had to add it for $2 extra dollarGuacamole. Come with asada, cheese, fries, sour cream and pico. I removed the pic and added guac. The burrito is huge and really heavy but has MAJORITY fries and close to zero Guacamole or sour cream. Im super disappointed because this place came recommended for their Cali burritos and I have a burrito full of fries, little meat (although tasty meat) and barely and sour cream and guac. The burrito was very dry. I had to use salsa and a squeeze of lime on each bite. I only ate half and will give the rest to my kids.
This place is ok. I was not impressed by the California burrito or the price. The meat could be better, the salsa verde was basic, and I did not like the red sauce at all. The size, however, is very large and probably why it's so expensive. I will give them praise for putting sauces and utensils in the bag.
I never leave reviews but I just left this place & spent $48 dollars. The guy taking my order was also the one making the food so I gave him grace when it took about 4mins to come to the counter for my order. However, I ordered the Saturday burrito special (Cali surfing) that comes with carne asada, shrimp, fries, guac, pico & chipotle sauce. I got the guacamole & chipotle on the side. When I got home (20mins away) I discovered that my burrito was full of rice, very little carne, shrimp and NO fries or pico! I’m really disappointed because my brother has been raving about the size of the burritos and how good this specific one was supposed to be! I was highly disappointed!
First and last time I’ll go here. Came here based on the good reviews but I’ll never come back. WAYYY overpriced and they can’t even get the fries right. Leave it in the fryer a little longer, how hard is that?? Fries came out soggy, undercooked and super greasy and I didn’t find out until I get home. $20 or more after taxes for Pacquaio fries (and basically all fries). TRASH!!!
After hearing so many great things and then finding out the place is right around the corner from my house , I tried on Saturday night to stop in only for the guy to tell me they were closed...35 minutes earlier than their posted hours. Go in the next night...the guy is very rude when I order a #3 and #10 , asking me what they are...as he apparently has more than one #3 on the menu. Then his card swiper doesn't work for my card that swipes and his card reader doesn't read my other card with a chip. Him being the only person there , I wasn't pressed about the wait , I expected that. Will not go back , sadly. Just walked out and found somewhere else.
