Manuel's Restaurant Ciudad Acuña Reviews
What a beautiful restaurant! Linen tablecloths and beautifully folded napkins. The guest service was on point and the food was amazing. I ordered chicken my husband and daughter ordered beef. My plate blew there's out of the water!
Got the fajitas, they were delicious. The waitress had great customer service. She really made it feel like an upscale restaurant. Def give it a chance when you’re in Acuña.
Friendly Staff, Good Food, Good Service
Enjoyed another excellent meal at Manuel's. Impeccable service, world class food and super atmosphere.
I have been coming here since the original in the 1990s. Still the most excellent food there is and the service is the best I have ever had...EVER!!!
Manuel's restaurant has five stars, because of it's excelente presentation, atmosphere, service, and food. The steak 🥩 was cooked to the perfection and melted in my mouth. Also I love the variety of Mexican music 🎶. I hate to go to a restaurant that doesn't play the music typical to its origins. I like to have the whole experience, food and some culture. They did it right. Thank you.
It’s been over 15 years since I was last in Acuna but I think about this restaurant often. Best margarita I’ve ever had.
Great spot right on the border may be a 10 minute drive. Great customer service, good food, amazing drinks.
Probably the best cheese enchiladas I have ever had in my entire life. Really. Guacamole top notch as well.
Excellent service and the food it is Delicious. They got a Fresh Grill Cabrito the year around
First time to the new Manuel's. Ordered their Chili Reynosa. Was worth every dollar. It was very clean and service was as good as at the old location. Will definitely dine there again. Only problem is parking.
The BEST margarita I've had in a long time! Service is awesome, good great! Definitely a good place to eat in Mexico!
Clean, pleasant restaurant with excellent food... I stopped here for a steak and a couple of beers on my way back to the border, and I was not in the least disappointed. The meat was of excellent quality and cooked to perfection. It's kind of hard to get a rare steak in a Mexican restaurant, so this came as something of a pleasant surprise. All side dishes were home made to a high standard, service was frankly excellent, and the prices frankly astounding by American standards. I'll be coming back here next time I cross at Ciudad Acuna.
We enjoyed our dinner. Restaurant was clean and pretty. Would go there again.
Ciudad acuna is a nice place if you need to cross the US Mexican border. It's not very crowded and apparently not much drugs or trafficantes pass there. It was a quick holding of your ID to the camera and then I was okayed to drive on through. DO NOT cross the border around McAllen area. I was driving my personal vehicle and they took an hour searching my car for no apparent reason. It was a huge hassle and waste of time. Del Rio/ciudad acuna is the best place to cross the border in your car, no traffic, no pointless searches, no harassment, just good old Border Control doing an efficient and quick job.
Excellent like always. Always enjoy going there. Great margaritas an food.
The restaurant was clean and service was fast. Margaritas were on point. I would not recommend the guacamole, it lacked flavor. They offer free chips and salsa. Check it out
First time in Acuna Méx.. Wow!!! sad to say this place was not what i expected from a Mexican, restaurant. Was greeted immediately and seated as soon as we stepped in, drinks were ordered. Waited for a long time whit a family of 5 when we were the only ones there. I ordered a chile relleno with carne and queso blanco, came with a side of rice that had this different taste and not in a good way and some beans that were good.
First time in Acuna and wanted to find somewhere to sit and have lunch with my family after walking around the little market. It was terribly hot outside. We found parking right in front but parking is very limited. Upon entering the restaurant I was surprised at how nice it looked. The tables were neatly set up and we were acknowledged immediately. The waiter was kind and gave suggestions, however, he got my order wrong and forgot my son’s plate/order. The food was overpriced even compared to prices we pay in the states. For a family of 5 we paid $87/USD or $1400/pesos. The meals we had to include the meal portions would’ve been about $60-$70 at most here in the states. I know ppl can sometimes try to take advantage of tourist and hike up the prices. Anyway, the rice was not good and unflavored, my nachos were cold, the bistec was overcooked and hard to chew, my sons egg was burnt and he said his lemonade tasted like water. I didn’t eat my food (nachos) but my boys picked at the plate. Overall nice restaurant but the food and flavor was subpar, I was expecting authentic Mexican food and was disappointed.
