katsubo Ciudad De México Reviews
I was recommended this place, and from the first day I tried it, I was delighted by the flavor. They are very friendly and have excellent customer service; if you're unsure what's in the food, they explain it to you. They're also quick if you order takeout, and if you eat in, they're very welcoming and even put on Netflix to make your meal more enjoyable. The sushi is delicious, the portions are generous, and you can taste every single ingredient. The ramen and yakimeshi are a real treat 🤤 I recommend the mixed yakimeshi and the beef ramen 🍜
Great place with a varied menu and very good service.
I love it, I moved from the area and ordered an Uber for my birthday. I recommend it because it's delicious.
It's a small place but the food is very good, and the price is reasonable for the area.
Very good experience, unique flavor, you leave satisfied and have a desire to return
My favorite place to eat fish, it's the cleanest place and it has the best prices and also the best quality in their products, simply love it
Excellent recommendation. The location and facilities are clean and tidy. Excellent service from the staff, both at the establishment and over the phone. A good variety of products and dishes, made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The prices are affordable for the industry. The only thing: please don't sell canned pulque!
I've been a customer since 2019, and I can say that the service and food have always been top-notch. The dishes are delicious, from the ramen, rolls, and yakimeshi, to the drinks, of course! I think the prices and portions are appropriate for the area, as eating sushi isn't meant to fill up, but rather to enjoy the dishes. It's my favorite place, and every time I return, the quality remains incredible. Just as a comment, and based on the time I've been visiting this place (6 years), I think it's time to expand, as sometimes it's uncomfortable to feel so close to other people and "squeezed in." It wouldn't hurt to consider the space as a place where you'll feel comfortable, meaning you should expand it.
The food is undoubtedly very good, and every time I've been there it's been excellent. Yesterday I went, and for the first time, the service left much to be desired; it was terrible, not to mention rude. They took forever to take our order, and we had to practically fight the waiter for drinks, as well as for toothpicks and cutlery. When it was time to leave, they practically kicked us out, clearing our plates from the table as soon as we finished eating. I ordered a drink at the end, and I understand that service is only available until a certain time, but the tall, dark-skinned guy was rude the entire time. They didn't even have the courtesy to say, "Excuse me, we're about to close. Is there anything else I can get you?" Seriously, zero desire to work.
Way too long a wait for a Wednesday afternoon, over 45 minutes just to get our drinks. The only decent thing was the ramen, but the soy sauce was way too watered down. The portions weren't bad, but they were more like seasoned instant noodles. The steak was good quality beef. The bad part: you have to beg for napkins because they only give you one per person, and they mixed up our order and brought us an extra drink.
Twenty minutes ago, I messaged them on WhatsApp to inquire about the prices of two types of rolls. I messaged at 8:04 PM and they told me that one of the rolls I asked about cost $125 and the other cost $126. They replied at 8:06 PM, asking for my address. I gave it to them and asked if there was a delivery fee. They said, "No, we just require a minimum purchase." I asked if the $125 roll purchase included free delivery, to which they immediately replied: "Okay, we'll send it. Would you like soy with lemon and hot sauce? That's a total of $247. How would you like to pay?" This message was sent at 8:08 PM. At 8:09 PM, I replied, "So there is a delivery fee?" And then they stopped replying. I wrote again at 8:13 asking for an explanation as to why it was $247.00 (if, according to what they said, I ordered both rolls and asked for the price, then it should be $251.00) when I only wanted the $125 roll. I saw they were online, but they didn't answer me. And then at 8:19, when I wrote "hello?" they replied at 8:21, saying, "Here you indicated that the two rolls are already prepared." When did they confirm my order? They never answered my question about shipping, they never responded in time to confirm that, according to what they said, the two rolls were already prepared, which I never confirmed because they never answered. And of course, to top off their terrible service, they just replied, "Perfect, don't worry, have a good night." BAD BAD BAD
Terrible service. They didn't clean the table, they took our order and took an hour to deliver it, they brought things we didn't order, and even after 20 minutes of receiving our food, we had to ask about the drinks we had ordered because no one was attending to us. They didn't bring us any extras; we had to ask the waitress for everything, and she seemed to be in a bad mood. They also charged us 70 pesos extra with their Clip card terminal. I wouldn't go back. The dishes were expensive and the portions were small.
It's the worst service I've ever had. I don't recommend it at all. First, I asked what kind of food they didn't have raw food, to which the waitress reluctantly replied that they did. Second, the kitchen staff was making fun of my 5-year-old son. Third, we wanted dessert, to which they told us they didn't have any (presumably because it was 8 p.m. and they didn't want to serve us anymore). Up to this point, I said I wasn't going to burn them because I know how hard it is to start a business. But I sent a WhatsApp message a few days later to request the menu and order delivery. Since it was taking a while to respond, I decided to call, and they were annoyed because they were already answering me on WhatsApp and that they were closing anyway (it wasn't even 9 p.m. as their hours say here).
The place is okay, the menu is super expensive for the area and for the quality of the food the sushi fillings are super skimpy and right away a picture of how miserable they are when preparing a roll for you, that mini piece of shrimp is what it came with as a filling, it's not even a gram of shrimp. For some potatoes, half a sausage banderilla and a cheese kushiague, half a roll and some rice with cheese, I paid $180 which seemed really expensive to me because they are more dads than anything and they don't even give you a drink with the combo kits, and just like the mini shrimp filling, the half roll that came with the "package" was that small. I will not return and besides the Japanese food place with its El Tri music creates a horrible atmosphere and it took them a long time to serve us.
