My family has been enjoying Tokyo Bowl for years! It’s our “go to” for great sushi. Not overly fancy inside, but adorned with dozens and dozens of astronaut pictures…All signed by NASA folks who enjoy this legendary sushi restaurant. Give it a try. 😎👍😀

This is our favorite sushi restaurant in Clear Lake. Their food is so good and servers are friendly and efficient. We no longer live in Clear Lake, but we make it a point to eat there when we are in town.

This was my first time here and I will very likely return, even though I'm only in the area a couple of times a year -- the service was great and the food was fantastic. We got the Lunch Box specials: two "F" boxes and a "C" box -- and they were delicious. The portion size was just right, the flavors and textures were on-target and the entire experience was one I'd like to repeat someday.

Love this place, the sushi is really good and well priced. Service is usually good and prompt. Diverse and deep menu with a lot of sushi options for all levels of sushi eaters and other options.

Overall, nice spot! Got the sushi and tempura lunch box special and an order of takoyaki for about $30. The takoyaki tasted good. It was warm and chewy, with a good piece of octopus. The Sushi was probably the best part, as it was fresh, with nice, chunky pieces. The tempura was okay. Not too crispy by the time it was at my table and two pieces of shrimp didn't feel too satisfying for the price. Still a relatively solid spot for lunch however, with great service and nice ambiance.

First time back in nearly two decades if memory serves right. Food hits just right for the price, and their location is ideal for neighborhood. Was turnt off by their hostess? Sat us down and for the lack of a better term purposefully threw the menus and straws in a, "I don't want to be here, but I'll playfully show you how much I don't want to be here attitude." As if we would find humor or sympathy in it. Our dinner party all looked at each other in bewilderment. The other waitstaff/owner who mostly served us after the fact were phenomenal! Loved their katsu curry! I am looking forward to revisiting for more comfort food.

Sir Review Alot

This place is a favorite! I love the papásito roll (fried) Im new to sushi and that roll is so goooood. I also get their hibachi chicken, and actually mix it together since they separate it all. The only downside is that if you get a roll and lunch meal you will average spend $18+ for each person, so yes a little pricey. The shaggy roll (non fried) was okay but no contender for the papasito roll.

Sashimi B, $34, Salmon and yellowtail taste sticky and white tuna was watery, will suggest the owner to give more defrozen training to the kitchen and watch out the fish source and storage time limit after defrozen.

Food looks better than it taste. Not terrible but not great. I won't be back. Cooked Sushi rolls had a raw fish taste which tells me cross contamination is going on. The young guy was a good server but the Lil old lady looked like she was mad the whole time. Thanks but no thanks.

I expected some char or at least some color to the chicken. Teriyaki sauce was thick and seemed like it was straight from a bottle and way too sweet. I will return and try other items and adjust my review if other dishes are better.

Please tell me how this is $18. A few pieces of boiled chicken tossed in teriyaki sauce. Really don’t know how this place is rated so high.
