Popeyes Clifton Park Reviews
Went on a busy hour , but the staff managed to give my order in minutes . The chicken was great
The food was good and ready fast. The person who took our order was friendly. The dining room was just a bit cold.
I was on a long drive! I needed to get on and off the freeway quickly! Thankfully Popeyes was there! I was in and out SUPER FAST! The staff was friendly and my food was fresh! I don't know if it's like that all the time but it was great for what I needed at the time!!
I have been all of the popeyes in the capital district but this one is by far the friendliest. They were honest about wait times and incredibly accommodating! Thank you!
It wasn't a long wait at all and it's around dinner time. The chicken was hot and fresh. Staff was friendly and I would definitely recommend this place
Food is good, service is terrible.. Every time. If it weren't my husband's favorite chicken tenders, I would never go to this location because the service is so rude.
I visit here every 6 weeks or so. All but once I have been satisfied with the food. And it was only one item. The Mac n cheese didn't look right and did not taste good. But got it today and it was good like usual. The service is slow sometimes when it's super busy. But that doesn't deter me. Everybody is always friendly.
Hey guys, can you put out napkins for people to take? The napkins provided in the bag was sufficient, but if you’re eating to-go, it would be nice to have the option to take as many napkins as you would like. The food was hella good though!
The dining experience, while pleasant in some respects, ultimately fell short of expectations. The cuisine, while not offensive, lacked any particularly memorable characteristics or unique flavors. Unfortunately, the cost of the meal seemed disproportionate to the quality and quantity of the food provided. The service was characterized by a noticeable delay in the delivery of both food and beverages. However, the staff members were consistently courteous and maintained a positive demeanor throughout the service. Despite the efforts of the personnel, the overall value proposition left something to be desired. I would consider revisiting the restaurant, but only if there were improvements in both the culinary aspects and the pricing structure.
I yam what I yam. Was hoping I'd have been able to try the pickle sauce sandwich thing but it was taken off the menu before Friday sadly, so my backup choices had to be made. Ordered online using the website, going with the Chicken Wrap Combo and the 1/4 Lbs Popcorn Shrimp & Tenders box. Total coming to a bit under $25, only two selections seemed a bit over the top on price, but I thought at the time the popcorn shrimp box was going to be bigger than I expected. (or maybe the wraps) Arrived a minute early to pickup, was given my drink and then told the fryer was still working on the shrimp. (I'm guessing it's not a popular item, so they don't have the correct fryer on for them all the time or something) Ended up waiting almost 10 minutes for everything, but, I was handed another drink? I'm unsure if they meant to give me a free extra lemonade for the wait, but I took it as such. Plus, I had more or less finished the one I had been handed earlier so yay. Lemonade was great sipping material, slightly sour, slightly sweet, a hint of blueberry, and it was a fun color. A refreshing beverage for a summer day. Back home I dug into the wraps and shrimp box. Found the wraps to be finished in four bites each, pretty small, and yes the price tag is only $3.99 for each wrap, there is more or less a single chicken tender in each one. Quite the sad wrap indeed. Could barely tell a difference between the blackened and the classic warp, likely because there was just so little chicken and so much more fillings they add in that overpower it all. The shrimp and tender box was alright, but the shrimp were smaller than any popcorn shrimp I've had before. More like kernel shrimp if you ask me. And the tenders were not spicy, like I had requested, they were the classic version. At least the Mardi Gras Mustard helped out in that respect. Overall I was leaning more towards a 3 star hit for the lackluster wraps, tiny tiny shrimp, and incorrect tenders. But the free lemonade, which was pretty tasty, and the fact they didn't get anything else wrong, put this more in line with a 3.5 and I always round up in these cases. So a 4 is where I'll stand.
They had the dining area so cold I couldn't take my cost off. Definitely one of those places that make you feel like they only cater to take out orders. My mashed potatoes were more potato soup with all the gravy. I find that it's hit or miss with the quality of pieces you get. One thigh was 90% bone and no meat. I guess if you are in the mood for chicken it's ok. Otherwise I don't go out of my way to go here.
The food is always a hit or miss... but more than not, It is good. The service is ok depending on which one u are going to. The mall tends to b more friendly and faster. The one on Cental Avenue seems to b slow all the time and the staff are not as welcoming.
Usually like Popeyes chicken. Got the 2 piece meal for a quick lunch. Now it comes with 1 side unless you upgrade. Went standard, 1 side for over $11. My chicken thigh was mostly greasy breading, very thin meat. The drum stick was better. Fries were good, crunchy spiced up. Bisquit was usual.
On 11/18 went here and the manager gave us a coupon booklet with a bunch of great deals on them so we planned to come back the next day on 11/19. I decided to read the fine print before we headed there the coupons expired on 9/15/25 it’s not November and they just gave us the coupons explain that please.
I am giving this a one start review because I am unable to go any lower. This will be my first and last time patronizing this establishment. My husband stopped by the Popeyes in Clifton Park/Halfmoon on his way home from work at 11:00AM (they open at 10:00AM). We live less than 10 minutes from the restaurant. I went to eat my sandwich and it was stone cold. I decided to Temp it and while I'm no chef I do know the holding temperature for chicken and it is not 68 Degrees!!! Not only is that unsafe to eat it did not look appetizing at all. It looked like they threw a few chicken nuggets on the bun and wrapped it up. It was almost as if it was made hours before hand and had just been sitting around. I really had high hopes for this place but not anymore.
Waited more than 30 minutes for my food that I ordered on the app. Worst customer service ever. Stood in the lobby for 20 minutes before being acknowledged by any one.
I hate to write bad reviews. But I also feel it's important to be honest even when you have a bad experience. Or Multiple in my case. The first time we experienced an issue at this location is when we were on line at the drive through and asked a question about the Ghost Pepper sandwich which is amazing IMO. I asked if the sandwich had sauce on it or if the chicken itself was dry seasoned. The employee told me that they weren't sure. This boggled my mind. As someone in customer service, wouldn't you check with your manager or colleagues to confirm? I'm the customer...how else would I know besides getting an answer directly from the source?!? Bad service. The second experience we ordered in advance on the app. Upon pulling up, we were told it would be another 10 minutes and to get out of line and come back in 10. I asked if we ordered it now on the line and not on the app how long we'd have to wait. They told me they would make it now so 2-3 minutes. So I told them to cancel my "advanced order" and I'll order one at the window. All of a sudden, they determined they can make my advanced order immediately. Why order in advance if you have to wait longer then when ordering online. The customer service at this location has been horrible every time I've gone. The people are rude, do not thank you for your business, and make it seem as you are putting them out by ordering from them. Not appreciative of the business at all and very dismissive. It appears to be one family that own and operate the location and service is not taken seriously. I like having a Popeyes in my town, but don't like to support the location as they fail to improve. I wish this location would work on their service issues so I can continue to enjoy the food as it's always hot and fresh.
To yell at a customer through the drive through speaker for not fully understanding what you said is wild! I suppose this is why your drive through was empty but the Lords Chicken was jamming. If you find yourself here turnaround and head to Chick-fil-A, you will be treated like a king not a inconvenience.
I gave them a fighting chance but I can’t do it anymore. The biscuit was crunchy, not soft and moist like other Popeye’s. The chicken breast didn’t even resemble a breast. I couldn’t even eat the chicken because it smelled like game. The only edible item was the cajun fries but after smelling the chicken it turned my stomach. Thanks for wasting my money Popeye’s!!
It feels like it's got to be intentional. I've been here four or five times (not my choice, I've got kids.). We have literally never received the correct order. Most recently, we were asked to pull into the parking lot and wait 10 minutes for our order. Apparently asking for chicken caught them off-guard. Just shy of 30 minutes later, the wrong order was brought to us. Communication barriers aside, this place is consistently terrible.
My husband went in to get the 3 for $5 deal. That claimed that they haven't done that for months. It's just all over the TV and on their web site. They also to my husband he had to come in because drive through window didn't work. Never again. Done with this place.
Terrible. The employees were not professional at all. This was my second time going to this location. Figured I’d give them a second chance. Never again. There was barely any mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese in the containers. The so called chicken tenders were the size of the nuggets. As a person who has worked in customer service for years. Their customer service was absolutely terrible. At least this time they remembered to ask me if I wanted sauce for the second time before leaving the window after receiving our food. Never again halfmoon popeyes. The Albany location is 10/10 better.
