Great food, kind and helpful staff, get your chicken, ribs and baked potatoes early!
Asked for moist brisket and man did they deliver! I was cutting it with a fork, amazing brisket. Sausage they have is the best I have tasted even the casing was good. Ribs, out of this world! Big and juicy. Green beans are sooo good!
From out of state…first time visiting. The food was great, the staff very courteous and the atmosphere was great. The music was a plus too.
Brisket doesn’t get better than this! I’ve tried the likes of Terry Blacks and other nationally famous places, but this humble, locally famous place always delivers amazing flavor and value. The sides are also delicious and staff always friendly. Also, ask about their amazing pastrami ribs. Don’t miss out on this gem!
Jennifer is AWESOME!!! She was so polite and helpful❣❣❣ Brought out our to go orders!! And Even took our trash. EXCELLENT!! ** We asked for BLARING HARD ROCK music to be turned down. (Alicia "Refused" our request to turn down Hard Rock music !! AND Refused to change channel to Country!! HOW VERY RUDE!! NOT A people person obviously 😡 My friend &&& I EACH spent $60 for our in house & To Go Orders $$$ WHAT IS HER PROBLEM???
My coworkers and I have lunch there. It's quick, the food is good, and it's close to our job. We go there pretty much every week. The employees are friendly and the price is not too bad. The food portions are a good size too. There hasn’t been a time where the food wasn’t great! Only thing I wish they had better parking but it’s not a deal breaker. We will continue to eat there weekly
We tried one of everything and while it was all delicious--you gotta try the baked potato with meat! 🤤 It was SO GOOD. Brisket sandwich with coleslaw (so scrumptious I could have eaten 3 cups) on top was incredible. So glad we stopped. Service was top notch, too. Price was affordable. No complaints!
The bbq sauce was blah, I got togo ,ended up running to store for hickory bbq sauce, if your sauce is blah then the dinner is blah
A good BBQ spot in Clute. Friendly staff with a cafeteria style order method. Prices are a toouch high but not to high. Not cheap but won't break the wallet. Selection or menu is small with not a ton of options but the standard items are good. They been there for 29 years so sk.ething is right. I did enjoy the brisket but wanted a more spicy selection for both sausage and sauces.
Brisket was dry as a bone, beans lacked flavor and the sausage in the beans was also dry. Potato salad had hard bits of what I can only hope was egg shell in it. The chicken sandwich was edible. A total miss for me, unfortunately.
It’s good BBQ with counter service because they serve as you order (deli style) and then you pay. Ribs were tender and meaty. Brisket was juicy. The bbq sauce was good too. It’s their own recipe and I thought it was tasty. They’ve been around for many years apparently and their decor has the dust to prove it. That’s the issue with all the stuff on the walls and shelves. Who wants to take the time to dust? Gives a dirty ambiance even IF the kitchen happens to be immaculate. The restaurant is dusty and tired. All those dated pictures on the wall doesn’t welcome new customers. Who cares about old Polaroids? Your local guests? 🙄 I opted for a cup of water since I really don’t drink much with my meals. I saw they charged .42 for the water and a small cup with no lid. I figured paying $20 for a 1 meat plate, they could cover my small cup of water. That’s crazy to nickel & dime your customers like that. Who does that but a struggling business or a greedy one at best. There’s definitely room for improvement. Owners probably care more about catering to neglect the in house service this way imo. Dining room was clean and restrooms were fair. Plenty of parking in a spacious lot.
The brisket was dry i was expecting juicy with a ton of flavor. Out of 2 ribs half of one wasnt over cooked. It was more like jerky. The potato salad wasnt good. I had hopes for this place cause it is close. I may try again in a few, hopefully it was just an off day. The staff seemed nice.
Had a 2 meat plate, brisket and sausage, the brisket was dry, almost like one you buy from heb already cooked.
Easily the absolutely worst BBQ ive ever had. I should have know when I ordered sliced brisket and asked for it from the point and the guy cutting it didnt know the difference in flat vs point. Then when they wanted to dump sauce all over it. If its good BBQ you dont want to hide the flavor in sauce. The pulled pork tasted like they got the meat off a boar horrible gamey taste
Horrible food. Brisket was dried out. My baked potato was under cooked making it hard for some pieces, the bbq sauce tasted like it was really old and my banana pudding was old. The bananas were rotten. They claimed that they make it everyday but I’ve made banana pudding several times and my bananas don’t rot like I experienced in a day time. I ended up paying almost $40 for all this and it was a waste of money. Don’t waste your time or money.. I know good BBQ and this was not it. I’m extremely disappointed..
