Popeye Coatzacoalcos Reviews
If you're looking for great seafood without breaking the bank, Popeye delivers and more. The menu is extensive, with options for all tastes: ceviches, cocktails, and generously portioned dishes, no gimmicks or token servings. The prices are fair and affordable, making it one of those places where you feel you're getting your money's worth. The portions are generous, well-prepared, and flavorful—no disguised fillers. Overall, everything is excellent: great value for money, attentive service, and an ideal place to go with a real appetite and leave satisfied. Popeye is one of those spots that will definitely make your "I'll be back" list.
Very tasty, good, nice and cheap
I've only ordered takeout, and everything tastes great and the prices are pretty decent. Recommended!
There is karaoke and weekends.singer
The waiter Brian was one of the rudest, most arrogant, and most uncouth people you could ever meet. We ordered food, and after waiting an hour, we asked him if it would be a while. He checked it and said he'd lost the order and hadn't asked for it, even though it was his mistake. He rudely asked us if we wanted it or not, telling us to say so if we didn't. We asked him how long it would take, and he said he didn't know and that it would be a while, so he couldn't promise anything. Staff like this makes a place with good food lose customers. We hope they do something about it because this young man's service is terrible.
Excellent new place with great flavor and good prices. The black pineapple aguachile with habanero is delicious, and the chiltepin shrimp and gobernador tacos are must-tries. The beers are ice cold, just as they should be. Excellent there. And the service was great. I paid by card, but I'm not sure if they issue invoices. I'll definitely be back to try the rest of their dishes.
A seafood restaurant located on Avenida Miguel Ángel de Quevedo in the Puerto México neighborhood of Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, is a pleasant, air-conditioned establishment. While not luxurious, it's quite popular and relatively new. It offers drink specials and a variety of dishes, including shrimp or beef aguachile, shrimp cocktails, ceviche, campechana (a seafood salad), fried fish, fish in garlic sauce, fish with chitelpin peppers, shrimp in garlic sauce, shrimp with chitelpin peppers, and chipotle-style shrimp. They also serve beer, tequila, rum, whiskey, brandy, still or flavored water, soft drinks, and more. This restaurant is worth a visit, and the best part is that it's air-conditioned. However, it is not wheelchair accessible.
A good option for seafood in Coatzacoalcos, although they also have a few (few) but good options other than seafood. The price ranges from good to average, and they have a good selection of fish and seafood on their menu. Pros: Flavor and seasoning: 👍🏼👍🏼 Excellent, very tasty. We ordered two meat dishes and two seafood dishes, and all met our expectations...very good. Selection: 👍🏼 Very good, considering the type of food (fish and seafood). Portion sizes: Very generous. The tilapia was huge, the shrimp dish came with 14 good-sized pieces, and the other two dishes we ordered (ribs and dried beef salad) were quite abundant. They don't skimp on tortillas like some other places...as a good Mexican who loves nixtamal, I appreciate that. The drinks, if you order aguas frescas, are a decent size. Cleanliness: 👍🏼 Very good. Restrooms: Didn't use them. Atmosphere: 🫴🏼 Lively, family-friendly, but I don't think it's suitable for very young children. The A/C worked quite well despite the place being full and the sun shining directly in; it was cool and pleasant. Service: 👍🏼 Very friendly, approachable, and attentive. Quick service. Price: 👍🏼 Average for this type of establishment, but low considering the portion sizes. Payment Options: 👍🏼 Affordable, cash and card payments accepted. They don't overcharge for card payments. Invoice: 👍🏼 They issue electronic invoices without charging extra VAT like some other abusive places. Drawbacks: Nothing negative about the food or service. Ease of access: 👎🏼 Limited. There is NO wheelchair access ramp. Atmosphere: 🫴🏼 The music with the live singer was excessively loud. While it's understandable that it's part of the venue's concept, given the small size of the place, it became bothersome. It was impossible to have a conversation with the people at your table. They should address this small detail.
I've visited it many times and the waiters always forget to write down 1 or 2 pastries.
First time I've been there, and my wife and I sat for half an hour and no one ever attended to us. They didn't even acknowledge us. Terrible service. They only serve the elite; I felt slighted. I don't recommend it.
