Hermanos Martínez Cogolludo Reviews
We went to eat with the family on the recommendation of a friend and were generally pleasantly surprised. Raul was super nice and communicative and gave us great service. We ate 1/2 roasted goat in a wood-fired oven with oak and it was spectacular. With two salads and some homemade fries, we finished off with some desserts. The flan was also very good. We will definitely come back.
....A slice of paradise...everything was very very good...very professional and very friendly staff...there are no complaints...on the contrary...in addition to being very friendly...they recommend the best they have...I will definitely return...aaaaa....the goat is...words cannot express it...very very delicious...it's nothing short of extraordinary....
It was wonderful to be able to enjoy their dishes. We ordered the roast, and it was more than enough for two people. They brought us a complimentary salad, and along with the migas we ordered, we were more than satisfied. Parking is readily available in the town square, and you can then take a stroll to walk off your meal. We will definitely return.
We had a wonderful meal. The kid goat was delicious, and the migas were also fantastic. We ordered two and a half casseroles, which came with salad and potatoes. You really don't need anything else, as the portions are generous, and you should definitely leave room for dessert and coffee. We've been several times, and it's always been excellent. Raul gave us great advice, and the experience was wonderful from the moment we made the reservation until after the meal. The service from the waitresses was excellent. The local wine was very good, either 992 or Finca Río Negro, which has a winery in Cogolludo. We will definitely be back!
A very good restaurant. They have a daily menu and a spectacular special menu on weekends. The products they use are top quality, and the vegetables are picked straight from the garden...they taste wonderful. All the dishes they make are delicious. The portions are very generous. The dining room is large, but I recommend making a reservation.
The best restaurant ever. I've had lamb in many restaurants, but this one is SPECTACULAR. It's incredibly tender, with plenty of sauce and potatoes. The owner is a delightful gentleman who, from the first time we went, always came to our table to ask how the food was, if everything was to our liking, and to chat with us a bit. And let's not forget the torreznos (fried pork belly), which are the best I've ever had; they're spectacular too (just so you know, I'm not related to this restaurant in any way, but it deserves a proper review). I've been going for years, I'll keep going, and I recommend it to everyone I know. Thank you for the excellent service and the delicious food.
We went on a Saturday without a reservation and were lucky enough to snag the last available table... you really need to book. We had some delicious asparagus and a decent black pudding, followed by perfectly cooked grilled lamb chops and a very tasty suckling pig. The only downside was that it was peak time, and the main courses arrived about 30 minutes after we finished our starters, which kind of disrupted the flow... I understand that the kitchen can get bogged down at times.
We had roast beef and it was excellent; you should definitely order it when you make your reservation. If you order roast beef, don't order much else because it's quite a large portion. The Finca Rio Negro wine was delicious. The service was good and attentive, the place is simple and comfortable, although access for people with disabilities is difficult as there are stairs to climb to get in. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained.
We went to visit the area and stopped for lunch in Cogolludo. Seeing the decor, I had the feeling it was the perfect place to eat and that we hadn't made a mistake, until they brought us the migas and torreznos... quite a disappointment for breadcrumbs. The torreznos were overcooked. The homemade consommé was good, and the somarro (steak with potatoes) was fine; the meat was good, but the steak had too much salt, which they didn't add to the potatoes. As for the eggs with ham... the ham was difficult to chew and of very poor quality. Honestly, it had been a long time since I'd eaten such bad eggs with potatoes (and "ham"). The homemade torrija was very tasty, and the flan was good too. The Copa Brasil dessert was a nice touch, as it's becoming increasingly rare. Anyway, if you're in the area and there's nowhere else to go, you'll be well-fed!
A friend took us there to eat. Of the five of us, four ordered the special menu, which cost €30. For starters, I ordered a house-made fabada, entrecote for main course, and cheesecake for dessert. I've eaten at better places; for the high price, the quality isn't the best. The fabada, even the one on the coast, is better. The entrecote was delicious and quite large, though. The disappointment came with dessert: the cheesecake wasn't homemade at all and had very little cheese. Soft drinks are not included on the menu.
The dishes are generally good, some richer than others. I highlight the lamb chops, mushrooms, and migas as delicious dishes. The service was decent, but the atmosphere was rather noisy. We went to Cogolludo on the way, homesick for the wedding. It's recommended to book in advance, as the restaurants are quite busy.
Too crowded.
Estuvimos un viernes y no había demasiada gente en el comedor. Comimos de menú, dado que era la única opción que ofrecían. La mayoría de los comensales eran vecinos o trabajadores de la zona. Los pla…
