Angie’s Bake Shop & Cafe Cold Spring Reviews
Was in Cold Spring for the day to do some hiking and I’m so glad I stopped in here! I was warmly welcomed by the exceedingly friendly staff, and left with a delicious muffin and salad I enjoyed on the mountain. I highly recommend this lovely spot!
The best sandwiches + pastries!! Everything Angie bakes is delicious. The cafe is so sweet to sit inside or out and everyone who works there is so kind. We love the caprese sandwiches (the bread is amazing) and grab a morning bun or pastry. Highly recommend stopping by! Thank you Angie’s team.
The best caprese sandwich I have ever had. Great coffee too!!
I was in here today and got my girls some delicious big chocolate chip cookies. They always love the desserts from here. Then I had I homemade hot chocolate and it was the best I ever had. I love hot chocolate and this place topped my list for best tasting one. It’s 100% homemade too! No mixes! Made my headache go away too! I can’t wait to stop back and grab another treat and hot chocolate here again. I’m smiling just thinking about. Also, this place is bright, beautifully decorated and very clean. The staff are very nice. The gentleman first gave me a sample of his hot chocolate too. After that, I got my cup of it and it completed my trip on Main Street on a cold Winter day. It was fantastic! Thank you very much!
We stopped by at Angie’s on a hot steamy day for iced drinks and sandwiches. The drinks were delicious, the turkey & Brie sandwich was served in the most delicious freshly baked demi baguette. We also got a couple of cookies and gluten free blueberry muffin that we loved. If you are in the area, definitely stop by! Angie the owner and her staff were super friendly.
Wonderful little Cafe and bakery. My Avocado sandwich was made fresh and was absolutely delicious. Wonderful coffee, and the staff is very friendly and attentive.
Stopped into Angie's Bake Shop & Cafe after kayaking and they did not disappoint! I had the most delicious curry chicken over greens (with tomatoes and grapes) and a delicious dressing. I'll definitely be back. The staff is friendly and welcoming and the cafe is adorable and spotless! Highly recommend if you're in the neighborhood!
We passed by this little shop and decided to try it. We have been blown away from the great taste and quality of the food. I had a turkey sandwich with honey mustard on a artisan white french bread roll with honey mustard. The bread had a delicious crust and taste. We will come back when we are in cold springs for a stroll. Keep up the great quality, I really enjoyed it. Thank you.
One of the best small cafes I have ever been to. Both of us enjoyed our turkey and brie sandwiches, which were made by a very friendly guy. The chocolate cupcakes with vanilla frosting were OUTSTANDING and memorable enough for us to want to return to Cold Spring just for them. The girl at the front (Binghamton alumnus) was quite friendly. And the "icing on the [cup]cake" was the super-friendly owner, Ken. Thank you all!
Cozy interiors and friendly staff. The pumpkin soup is divine — creamy, hearty, herby, and with a touch of sweetness from the pumpkin. The dark chocolate cookie is also excellent; crispy on the edges and soft in the middle, the a rich chocolatey and hazelnutty flavor.
Yum. Yum yum yum. Delicious pastries and some pretty awesome coffee. We ate here each morning while we stayed in Cold Spring. The outside tables are in the shade of a big tree, and we stayed longer to write and read. A lovely couple runs the place and have gentle, friendly demeanors. The square bamboo dishes and doilies just top it all off!
I enjoyed a good lunch here with my family. The sandwiches were delicious and served on crisp baguette bread. We had our two year old with us and a woman who worked there loaned us a drawing tablet to keep her entertained. We really appreciated that and it made us feel welcome ❤️
It’s always a treat to visit Angie’s. Great people and the food is excellent across the board. Don’t miss the chance to grab a casual lunch here when you visit Cold Spring. But most importantly, they sell probably the best chocolate chip cookie in the world. I’ve tried dozens (really!) from the top bakeries in NYC and they have nothing on Angie’s cookie. It deserves an award.
I went to Angie's on a cloudy day for a morning cup of tea and was plesently surprised at the deliciousness of both the English breakfast tea and the blueberry muffin. It was reasonable priced and the mood at the place was very chill. Will come back! I'd recommend adding hot cocoa to your list of drinks and opening a little earlier, but it's well worth waiting for! For people considering visiting--and make sure you visit--arrive soon after they open to ensure that they haven't sold out!
Before I begin, GET THE OATMEAL RAISIN COOKIE. We had a great time at Angie’s! We walked in late in the day on a Wednesday and even though they were 10 minutes from closing, the lady at the front counter was super kind to us. We ordered a cookie and she helped us choose—we ended up getting the Harlequin cookie which was delicious, a mix between a classic chocolate chip and a double chocolate chunk cookie. She even gave us a discount! The cookie was a bit sweet, but super gooey and was warmed up for us. We only stayed for a little while, since they were closing, but the atmosphere was fantastic and they have beautiful large windows which you can people watch out of. When we got up to leave, the lady at the counter even gave us a free cookie! This time we chose the oatmeal raisin cookie which was DELICIOUS—definitely the best cookie there. If you have the chance, please go and support this local business. Awesome food and even better people!
I had the best oatmeal raisin cookie ever! It was thick and very moist. I’m hoping they ship!
They have not failed me yet. Today I tried the broccoli quiche. Phenominal. Haven’t had as good a quiche since the 70’s. Flaky crust, velvet eggy custard—not overcooked. Chunky Broccoli, cheese- just the right amount. And as usual a portion fit for a giant. A shout out to the side berries that were plump, sweet, each one a burst of flavor. Kudos to the lovely couple who make this all happen. I’ll be back
Delicious, Cozy, and great hospitality!! We ordered a turkey and Brie sandwich + a split pea soup to start. The owners had so sweetly split the sandwich and soup for us. I’ve come before and loved it so I had to return. Highly recommend visiting for a delicious affordable lunch and some yummy baked goods :)
Angie's is one of the best parts of living in Cold Spring. The soups, pastries, hot cocoa, the best coffee in town are to die for and the most affordable prices on Main St. If she offered baking classes I would take them as she bakes the most delicious pastries (better than anything I ever tried anywhere in NY/NYC). Ken and Angie do an amazing job of creating a cozy comfortable environment and my husband and I look forward to the days they are open to go grab a treat and hot drink. Highly recommend to all visitors and locals.
Angie is not only a client of mine but she had share her bakes good and i have to say in 15 years i work in food service never had such good bake muffins and scone and cookies all my coworkers went crazy with her items no wonder people go see her and she amazing warm heart person togheter with hubby making business grow go see her i recomend you go empty belly so you try all the items
We enjoyed the turkey and brie sandwich. The roll was perfectly crispy on the outside, and soft and flavorful on the inside. A perfect amount of turkey and brie with lettuce and sliced delicious tomato. Quite possibly the best lunch we have had in months. BRAVO! Great desserts and cookies as well. Don't miss this gem.
They have the BEST hot chocolate!!! I love a good thick/rich hot chocolate and their hot chocolate was exactly that! truly a fan of their baked goods as well so much so that when I went to NYC around Christmas I was so disappointed about all the hot chocolate drinks they were selling in the city which was nothing but Swiss miss quality drink and complete waste of money. Sucks that I live 2hr away butttt can’t wait to be back and visit this store again! Please please please I really hope you guys do not change your hot chocolate. It is perfect!
Great cafe with super friendly service. I got one chocolate chip cookie, and it was so delicious that I went back to buy a few more. They were so sweet and gave me a pumpkin donut to try too. Will definitely be back :)
Great service. Super yummy stuffed biscuit, sandwiches, and pea soup. They had apple cider in October! Nice outside seating as well.
I loved Angie's Bake Shop and had a very nice pumpkin donut from here. I only wish I could've tried more items because unfortunately a lot of things were sold out, but I did come on a Saturday on a boat full of NYC tourists and also went here a little bit later than everyone else so that's likely the reason why. You'll probably get exactly what you want if you come on a weekday during normal hours or just beat the rush if you're visiting from NYC. According to the menu, the breakfast items like biscuits, scones, and muffins are only available from 9-11:30 so keep that in mind if you'd like to try them!
Their Fudge Muffin is the BEST! Rich, moist, and a fun crumble top- it’s amazing. This place is, in my opinion, the best cafe in Cold Spring! They have an amazing assortment of pastries, the staff is so friendly, and (if you come in the spring or summer) they serve Arnold Palmers- which makes the most refreshing post-hike drink!
First and foremost – chocolate cookie, worth visiting just for this one thing. Overall an essential stop when visiting Cold Spring (when traveling I search for quality produce so just delicious food isn’t my primary criteria. I checked out about 60% of Cold Spring cafes/restaurants to finally select the very best places to come back and recommend). Sandwiches are fresh and delicious, fairly priced. Coffee – best in the village even though they don’t have an espresso machine, still best. And of course people who work there, they are wonderful.
Adorable bake shop with a lovely outdoor patio on the main drag. The sandwich was superb (very high quality bread) and the muffin was exquisite!
Angie's Bake Shop is a charming cafe on the main street of Cold Spring! We stopped by to grab something warm on a cold day. I got hot chocolate and a chocolate chip cookie. The hot chocolate was sweetly thick and sublime with 2 puffy marshmallows, and the cookie was crisp and pleasantly fudgy. Definitely worth dropping by!
A cozy bite in Cold Spring, NY! ❄️✨ Stopped by Angie’s Bakery for a warm, homey treat—crispy ham sandwich & a gooey chocolate chip cookie 🍪🥪. The rustic charm + fresh-baked goodness? Unmatched. 🤤🔥 Totally worth the ~$20. If you’re ever in town, this spot is a must-visit! 🏡💛 📍Cold Spring, NY 💰 ~$20 for both 🍽️ Warm, rustic, & oh-so-cozy
Went in to grab a bite after putting our suitcases down. What a lovely spot! I'm not sure if it's family owned, but it does feel like it is, especially with the fresh baked cookies and bread. The coffee was good, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed, we could use our "indoor voice" and heard each other fine. The owner was so nice and even offered two of their freshly made oatmeal cookies... Maybe it was a trap though, because now I have to come for seconds 😊
Cute shop. Next time I want to try the brownie, quiche, and stuffed biscuit. We both got turkey brie sandwiches, and I tried the dark Chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin cookies. Like the canned drinks available m
very friendly staff! came to cold spring with my friends for a lil trip and this place was really nice. loved the cinnamon roll i can’t lie that was one of the best cinnamon rolls i’ve had. it tasted very fresh and fluffy. i also got a iced lemonade which was decent.
I recently visited Angie’s Bakery Shop and tried the pumpkin soup and their ghost coffee, which is made with Joe Coffee. Both were great, especially the coffee. The interior is cozy, and the overall vibe at the café is really nice, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy some fall flavors. Definitely a place worth checking out!
Great shop with great owners! The picture is of the owners with one of their cupcakes. I also had a roast beef sandwich with was delicious. The baguette had a really nice crust and chewy center. The sandwich was meaty and flavorful. However, the best part is having had a chance to meet the owners. Very kind and hospitable people. This is a new shop, but I wholeheartedly recommend this location. I know I will certainly be back! 10/10

The best baked goods! Such a cute place and the chocolate chip cookie felt like comfort with every bite. I got one of each scone. The owner was so sweet.
Absolutely top tier chocolate chip cookies. Might be the best cookies I’ve ever had and not over-exaggerating. We bought one, tried it, and came back for three more and when we did, Angie threw in a free doughnut with our purchase! +1 for the generosity

Stopped in mid week late morning. A little disappointed there weren't many baked goods in the case but I think it was my timing. However I did get the enormous chocolate cookie and they warmed it for me and it is not to be missed. Not too big that it becomes too much just enough to be a really big treat. Would be a great snack on a nearby scenic hike.
The cheese and herb biscuit is phenomenal. the veggies in the frittata were roasted perfectly. coffee from joes was kinda burnt tasting and the food could be benefited from being warmed up but otherwise such a good meal.
Chocolate chip cookie is good. Sandwiches are a bit hard to eat. Thick tomato slices and hard crust baguette.

I stopped by Angie's Bake Shop & Cafe in Cold Springs, NY, and it’s a decent spot with a cozy vibe. I grabbed a sandwich, which looked good with fresh ingredients like tomatoes and mozzarella, but I was shocked at the price—$15! Honestly, that’s way overpriced for what it was. A sandwich like that should cost around $7, max. It felt like a rip-off. Also, the menu seems to focus entirely on fast food—sandwiches, pastries, and the like. There’s no real variety or healthier options like potatoes, meat, buckwheat, rice, or anything substantial. If you’re looking for a quick bite, it’s fine, but don’t expect a proper meal or fair pricing. And the are done have a restroom

Not impressed, there are no toilets for customers. Hot chocolate is only served at the weekend, very odd. The smell in the cafe wasn’t particularly nice. From the outside it looks lovely. Disappointing, especially given the good reviews they have received.
I’m writing this review based on a recent interaction involving the owner of this business, not the products. The owner dined at a nearby restaurant and behaved in a way that was disrespectful and inappropriate. This included slapping the menu, asking personal questions unrelated to service, and aggressively pushing a dish toward the server while loudly expressing dissatisfaction—after requesting a recommendation. He then left without leaving a tip. Everyone is entitled to dislike a meal, but no one is entitled to treat service staff this way. As a fellow business owner, a higher level of professionalism and respect would be expected. How people conduct themselves outside their own business still reflects on them.
