Rincon Argentina Cold Spring Reviews
I was looking for public restrooms to avoid the long queue at the station, I bought a really tasty coffee to use their restrooms that are for customers only. I recommend going there for the coffee, they offer pastries and empanadas too. Cool music as well
Delicious spinach empanadas & fresh herb sauce. Super nice staff. Authentic atmosphere with great music. 10/10!
If I could give 50 stars I would. How did I not know about this gem?? I’ve passed it a hundred times yet had either eaten already or was going elsewhere. Not this time- The owner, Marco, greeted us with true love and passion for what he does He told us the story of the restaurant’s humble beginnings, and how hard work and dedication created a true American dream. Now the food- the empanadas are better than any other restaurant I’ve been to including out of country. The tres leches cake was the greatest dessert of any I’ve ever had. I’m only asking you try it. You will be blown away. You’ll probably come back like we did.
Rincon Argentino is a very nice spot for lunch after our short hikes. The dinning tables outside were very comfortable and offered wonderful views. It’s very colorful outside in a sunny and quiet afternoon. The beef and chicken empanadas were both tasty. The tiramisu cake was decent. The staff were very friendly.
A warm spot on lower Main Street in Cold Spring, Ricon Argentino, is turning out delicious chicken and beef empanadas, homemade gelato pastries, and a variety of great coffee and expresso drinks too. There are two tables inside and a few tables outside, including a cozy spot set back from the sidewalk. Well worth the wait!
We ordered empanadas and coffee. The spinach empanada was a delicate version of spanakopita, less greasy and more flavorful. The beef empanada was flavored with olives and an egg, simply delish! We had one double and one single cortado, both smooth yet bold. Add the atmosphere and the friendly service to the food, and this place is amazing.
What a heartful place in the small town of Cold Spring! The empanadas(chicken and beef) caught my eye, and even I returned back for more. The owners of this cafe are the warmest people I met, and the lady bakes the empanadas fresh. You can’t just have one. Ordered a hot chocolate and spent some time in the small covered area, very relaxing and cozy. Would recommend as a must visit if you are passing by Cold Spring.
Rincon Argentino is a quaint, family owned and operated, little place down by the river. It was established approximately three years ago. They serve home made ice cream, several stuffings of empanadas. Wonderful deserts, and more... They also have a lemonade and mate stand outdoors with seating both indoors and outdoors.
Came to try out the empanadas here. It’s $4 each. We got the beef and chicken ones. It’s good and there’s seasoning in the meat. The crust is thin and soft. Not a big fan of the dipping sauce cause it has that balsamic vinegar taste. Love the lemon sorbet they have. The tiramisu flavor is like caramel flavor with coffee cake pieces in it. The place does take payment in card, but must reach a minimum.
Quaint atmosphere for a quick bite and a place to stay warm while you wait for the train. The owners are very warm and kind. Not many gluten free options but the sweets and empanadas looked great. We went for tea and coffee and they had a great selection to choose from. Will be back for the $1 lemonade.
I used to love coming here for truly authentic Argentinean empanadas. The place was warm and inviting, not just because of the friendly staff, but because it felt like stepping right into Argentina. The walls were covered with Argentinean memorabilia, tango music played softly in the background, and the atmosphere, along with the delicious food, made it something special. It was more than just a café — it was an experience, a little slice of Buenos Aires tucked into Cold Spring. Sadly, after the original owner sold the business, everything that made this place unique began to fade. The charming décor disappeared, the layout was rearranged in a way that lost its cozy appeal, and the tango music was replaced by something more generic. Even the empanadas, while still decent, no longer had that exceptional, homemade touch they once did. Now it feels like just another coffee shop that happens to serve empanadas — a far cry from what it used to be. It’s a real shame. Visiting this café was one of the main reasons I made the trip up from the city, alongside enjoying the beautiful landscape of Cold Spring. Unfortunately, without its original spirit, I don’t see myself coming back as often.
