Absolutely love this place when we come to Long Island NY. Great service, friendly people. Prices are right for the items sold. Bagels are AWESOME.

Great food, fast service. A locals spot and a little chaotic figuring how to order and how to get your food. First timers be patient and experience this locals gem.

I strongly recommend this place. The soups are phenomenal. My sandwich is made perfectly ever time. The staff is wonderful. Managers Nick and Ricky are extremely caring about customer satisfaction. I have never had such a consistently delicious experience at any other place. I've gone in and had food delivered

Updating my review from one star to five. I noted they were way light on their cream cheese. Since my last review, I've gone here three times and all have been plenty of cream cheese. Keep up the good work!

Best bagels on LI. There is absolutely nothing that compares to a fresh everything bagel from Bagel Chalet. Been coming here for years and always order a dozen to go. Although the prices have increased and the bagels have seemingly gotten smaller, I would still say that the satisfaction I get is worth every extra penny!

Bagel Chalet, situated in Commack, is the go-to spot for the best bagels and lox around, known equally for their exceptional egg sandwiches. Their bagels achieve that ideal crispy exterior and soft, chewy interior, perfectly matched with both the silky texture of meticulously prepared lox and their standout scallion cream cheese. The egg sandwiches, featuring fluffy eggs, melted cheese, and your choice of meats on freshly baked bagels, offer a delightful start to any morning. With these culinary delights, Bagel Chalet solidifies its reputation as a must-visit culinary gem for both locals and visitors alike.

Visiting Long Island from Florida with my girlfriend. She took me to my first deli. DUDE… IT’S SO GOOD!! SO WORTH THE WAIT. The line was seriously 40+ people but we waited and it was super worth it. Super friendly staff too taking the orders. 10 out of 5 stars

Great bagels and food. Fresh and good portions... However, I spent $5.75 for a sesame bagel with cream cheese. Hmmm. I get it, everything is 9n the rise but they make everything from scratch so, it doesn't NEED to be that expensive. I can go almost anywhere else and get the same thing for $4, which is still expensive. I just happened to be in the shopping center. I only go here maybe 1x year bc it's so expensive. Shame.

Our first time ordering here. The food was good, and I don't know how they're making their whipped cream but it was absolutely amazing. But I really wrote this to say a thank you to the Sunday morning staff there on 10/12. There was a mix up and we didnt get a lg part of our order. Bagel chalet had their driver drop off our missing items in less than 15mins. There's no accountability for restaurants in the age of door dash/ uber eats. Ive had entire orders swapped out and restaurants blame Uber, Uber blames the restaurant, we get a credit and no one cares where the mess up was.

We opted for a classic everything bagel with cream cheese, along with a piping hot cup of coffee, hash browns and the sub! The bagel was perfectly toasted, with a crispy exterior giving way to a soft, chewy center. The cream cheese was generously spread, adding a creamy richness to each bite. The coffee was robust and flavorful, the ideal complement to my meal. was impressed by the wide selection of bagels and toppings on offer. From classic options like plain and sesame seed to more adventurous choices like everything and cinnamon raisin, there was something to suit every palate. The menu also featured a variety of spreads, meats, cheeses, and fresh vegetables, allowing for endless customization.

Wow what a bagel place, will become my new go to Bagels are great but you can find that on long Island at a lot of places Its the sheer number of choices you have, cream cheese so many, and they are all really good Service was fast for so many people on line, but there are so many people working it goes fast Pleanty of drinks , coffee and tea It was a really clean nice place In be back many times

Walked in today since my car was being worked on at Goodyear. The ham egg and cheese sandwich was good, the coffee was so-so and the home fries were completely burned and inedible. When I let the staff know about the home fries he was kind enough to go to the back and check to see if they were all that way. Unfortunately they were. It would have been good if they offered a refund on it though. I paid $20 for these three items which is a lot for just breakfast.

Food and coffee was overpriced. The cashier didn’t give our change back and when we questioned her she claimed she did and wasn’t too nice about it. We knew that she didn’t based on cash we had left however it wasn’t that much and we didn’t want to make a scene or hold up other people.

I've given this place multiple tries. Usually it's very good but the last three times, there have been major food quality issues. I have been given soft, rotten tasting pickles, what I can presume are leftover pickles from someone else as they were dry and covered in seeds, and now a sliced nova sandwich that is so THICK with fat, you need razor blade teeth to chew it. This place is expensive and they charge you to use your card. I would just suck it up if the quality was there, but here I am, throwing a $15 piece of bread with fatty unnchewable fish, into the trash can. My cats wouldn't even eat it. Revolting.

15 everything bagels for $28 and they suck. Completely over baked and made the everything seasoning bitter. Bagels were not good, dry and not the right consistency. I genuinely preferred costco bagels to these. I will not go back.

I used to love their overnight oats — it was one of my favorite go-to options. However, over the past few days, the quality has noticeably dropped. The oats have tasted stale every time I’ve ordered recently. I even tried multiple times thinking it might’ve just been a one-off, but unfortunately, it’s been the same each time. Really disappointed, as this used to be such a reliable and tasty option

$9 for a ham, egg and cheese on a roll. After the price shock I realized the ham I added was $3.50. Ok fine, at least I’ll get a nice portion of ham on this absurdly over priced breakfast sandwich. Nope, just 1 thin slice of deli meat. C’mon guys. There’s inflation and then there’s just taking advantage of your customers.

We ordered a pastriami and BLT sandwich. The pastriami sanswich was very salty, so I complained to the server who was very nice to me and offered another choice. I told him that I work for the NYC Department Department of health and I have high blood pressure. I found out that this pastriami was processed by Boars head. A terrible company that doesn't have quality and healthy products. I can see why Americans are un healthy. My wife had a BLT with the beacon completely burn"t she was so hungry that she ate it anyway. This is unacceptable!!! This place should be inspected by thd health department and violations given. Plus they hire workers that do not do a good job. I will never come back and hope the owner improves the quality of the food..

Used to love Bagel Chalet, particularly their chopped salads. Stopped going here a while back for bagels, because felt they started to go down hill. Decided to give their bagels another try today, what a mistake. My everything bagel was so burnt, that I almost yacked when I got a taste of the burnt onion in my mouth. I really hope they figure it out, and go back to being solid again. I don’t mind payer higher prices, but the food better be worth it, and sadly it’s just not anymore.

I wanted to share this for anyone buying the “low carb” bagels for health or blood sugar reasons. I wear a continuous glucose monitor and tried these on two separate days to rule out a fluke. Both times, my blood sugar spiked significantly, similar to what I’d expect from a regular bagel. At $2.25 each, I was happy to pay if they were truly low carb, but based on my real-world readings, they are not. I’m not trying to bash a local business, I just think people who are diabetic, pre-diabetic, or eating low carb should know before spending the money or making health decisions based on the label. Marketing these as low carb is misleading, especially for people managing blood sugar. I like supporting local businesses, but I also think accuracy matters when it comes to health claims.

AVOID THIS PLACE. Bagel Chalet in Commack is officially overpriced. $25 for 6 cold bagels and 2 small cream cheeses? $15 a lb for cream cheese is a joke. Never going back to get robbed again. Total rip-off!

White fish salad was full of sharp fish bones. Disgusting.

The sandwich was so awful I wound up throwing most of it out. I mean I've had Subway sandwiches better than that! Also, 11 dollars for a basic sandwich like I got is highway robbery. I mean I could go to the store and get better quality supplies for half the cost of that thing. And keep in mind that the restaurant isn't paying retail prices for its food.

If I could give no stars I would. My coworkers and I ordered 4 bagels. 43$ and there was almost no cream cheese. The lox bagel was lox less. They were thin and burnt. We didn’t even eat them. So disgusting and disappointing. Will never ever order again.
