We came to this restaurant based on a recommendation from two locals and it was an amazing experience. The meat was the best I’ve ever had perfect texture and flavor. The service was friendly and attentive. making us feel so welcome. 🤗 It’s a real gem outside the tourist spots and the prices were similar to city center restaurants but the quality was far superior. Thank you for a fantastic evening!

A true gem, away from all the tourist traps in the centre. The trattoria specializes in meats and the service here is truly outstanding. Friendly yet highly professional. We were advised by who I believe is the owner, a very friendly and knowledgeable young man who helped us with our order, including the choice of beer (which was perfect!). We had the eggplant and burrata, steak tartare, caponata and tenderloin - all exceptional! Highly recommended if you are looking for great quality meats and service.

Wow what an amazing place for dinner it’s on the Michelin watch list which is no surprise. The food is incredible we had the bone marrow to start Then went to the steak which was so good we ordered a second! The desire too die for and the wine choices from the waiter were incredible! I certainly recommend this place it’s incredible!

Not sure why this place doesn't have an even higher rating. Everything was incredible. I had the truffle pasta (with black truffle) which was so delicious and perfect and also ate one of the meats from the fireplace which was also great. I also got the tiramisu which was good as well, but by that time I was extremely full. The blueberry and elderflower spritzer was excellent and the service was also top notch. The people working here were very knowledgeable and very friendly. They definitely enhanced the experience and made me feel very welcome (I was dining alone). I also got a seat in front of the fireplace which was warm and cozy. Overall excellent experience. Highly highly recommend.

I wanted to eat at a Michelin star restaurant while in Lago di Como. L’Antica did not disappoint! It was delicious. It seems that with every meal, you get fried onion rings and basil plus bread that comes with olive oil. For much first plate (pasta) I ordered the truffle pasta. The pasta was homemade and it was infused with three different types of truffles, including a beautiful shaved truffle that is shaved and served next to your table. My friend got the caprese ravioli. Her ravioli was served in a sweet tomato sauce. We then got the wagyu steak which was served with eggplant parmigiana. The wagyu (and I think all meats) is cooked in the fireplace. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out cooked correctly. I used the black lava Hawaiian salt (one I often use at home). Eggplant is one of my favorite foods and the parmigiana was cooked perfectly. My friend does not normally eat eggplant and had only tried it once, but enjoyed it a lot too. After our glass of Prosecco, our waiter was able to recommend the perfect glasses of wine. My friend got red wine to eat with her meat. I can’t drink red due to allergies, so he recommended a white wine for me as well. I didn’t inform him of my allergies, but there was no judgement about me pairing my white wine with steak. We were worried about getting too much food. Normally we don’t do a pasta plate + entre, but the portions were the right size. We finished it with espresso and a house made dessert. The dessert was a good finish and wasn’t not too sweet. This place is delicious, but not pretentious. The portions are sized fairly. It’s everything you’d want. It’s a bit of a walk from the main streets, but worth it. The service was also great. All around, loved it!

I went close to the afternoon closing, so there was only myself and a couple which were half way finished when I arrived, so it's hard to really rate the atmosphere, bit it was a classic fine dining setting, a nice mood. Service was attentful, and not even though it was just three people inside, I was not pestered. The food. I had ordered the Lobster Linguine. Which was fine. The Linguine though was not Al Dente and the sauce was okay, but nothing amazing. It isn't something I would order again if I were to go again. The steak on the other hand was amazing. I definitely would order that again! The array of salts you can add to it also, really nice, I tried a few which are pictured. The mushroom were cooked to perfection also. The Tiramisu was also very nice, one of the best I've had out in a restaurant.

A very nice experience, from the name it might sound like a simple small restaurant but in reality it is a Michelin Star for several years. They specialise in meat mainly head from several countries. They also serve fish for non meat eaters. The quality of food ambience and service were simply amazing. They have a huge spread of wine from different regions of Italy and other countries as well. The restaurant considering exquisite is a bit expensive compared to others in Como but you get the quality on par. Recommended to book the place before as it can be full, although we were lucky just blocking 30 min before.

This restaurant is very hard to review for overall experience. It offers some of the best meat, and best cooked meat, I’ve had. 60 days hanged. Undercooked but brought on a hot plate it continues to evolve. So well done to those in the kitchen. We turn to the front of house. These are the most mercenary people I’ve met outside of a financial trading desk. It’s an uncomfortable experience to be leaned on by them. And we were offering good money. (We were looking at top notch steak and red wine). Yet it wasn’t enough for them. They recommended we ordered another dish which would never had been necessary. They kept refilling our glass after every sip in order to encourage another bottle purchase. When we kicked off with a glass of white, they brought another wine, which had already been opened, and suggested we might like it. We did not. It was acid that they were trying to flog off 60 cent to the dollar. So, was the good, and expensive food, worth the aggressive and barrow boy service? Alas, no. There are plenty of places knocking out good steak without overtly looking to squeeze every last Euro out of their customers. Perhaps it’s because it’s a holiday place. Maybe they don’t expect people to return. Well, I may return to Como. But I’ll never give this place another go. Running a restaurant isn’t about the food. It’s about the memory you leave. I left with a sour taste.

After all was lost all joy what this place bring. We was group of 18 persons, after I made reservation manager asked me to pay 20€ per person in advance. It’s ok, I did that of course. Me and one person choose 5 dishes menu, what was excellent. We didn’t knew what we will have, but ousters, carpaccio, meet, pasta with trifles- was amazing. Michelin restaurant experience. Waitresses was so careful and friendly. But what was disappointing.. other people didn’t choose so expensive experience for 100€ per persons, some choose desert and drink, some main dishes. We payed more that 700€ in total. Manager was angry that other persons was choose so less at his point, he said that I should talk before with them that in this kind restaurant persons should choose more food, that he had extra waitress and pay more money. Restaurant what not full, no one stayed at the doors. Even that my experience of food was exelent I will never come back there with any group because at no restaurant no one talked with me this way. I’m a client not their worker.

One of the worst pastas I've ever had. The calamarata was overcooked mush, and the entire dish tasted as though it had been sitting out and was then hastily reheated in the oven. €40 for a small portion of pasta and a glass of wine + coperto.
