Wonderful steak restaurant the owner has over 1000 wines on the wine list and you can tell he very enthusiastic and knows about wine. We went for the fillet cooked perfectly, the T bones and ribs looked lovely all cooked on an open wood fire in the dining area, would recommend and go again, you have got to enjoy steak to go.
Fiorentina steak was so good. Perfectly cooked with the charcoal grill. Truffle pasta and lobster pasta were also very good. Exceptional wine list. Must come.
We walked in without a reservation and got lucky. The manager was kind enough to seat us (2 people), and we had an absolutely wonderful dinner. Staff spoke English, which helped us, and the food was some of the best we ever had. Make reservations and go!
We were lucky to get a reservation at this wonderful restaurant during our stay in Como. I found it by searching Google for gluten free options. The staff assured me nearly any dish could be prepared gluten free. They also had lactose free options for most dishes! The reviews online were raving about both the pasta and meat dishes. There was also a tasting menu available! We opted for a filet dish with foie gras and a pasta dish with truffle. Looking around the restaurant, there were shelves full of grappa and other liquors. I suspect they could’ve made any cocktail. We don’t know because we opted for a lovely wine from the extensive list. We were soon served a section of fresh bread that included a small round loaf of the best gluten free bread for me! It was beautiful, steaming and delicious. We could see the chef starting to prep meats for the open fire indoor grill, which was such a cool feature! Soon we were greeted with our pasta with truffle, but then offered additional freshly grated truffle!! Generous freshly grated truffle and perfectly cooked pasta…delicious. Then our filets arrived and we were offered more freshly grated truffle and a selection of seasoning salts. The meal was perfection. We knew it was something special and we understood why the restaurant had received Michelin recognition. We couldn’t have asked for better service or a better meal. As someone with multiple food allergies, it was a treat to feel like I could have the same meal as my companions and not be a burden or an inconvenience to the staff. However, my companions agreed it was a special meal experience and they were grateful for the opportunity to dine at this restaurant. Highly recommended for all. So glad we found this place!! It did fill up quickly. Reservations are recommended and can be made online!
An incredible experience! Our meal was beyond tasty and delicious! Presentation was beautiful. Service was excellent, and the wine was incredible! Make it a point to stop and try it. You won’t be disappointed!
Absolutely Outstanding Experience! We had one of the best dining experiences ever at this restaurant. The aged meat was absolutely phenomenal—full of flavour, perfectly cooked, and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Every bite was unforgettable. What made the night even more special was the incredible service. Roberto was an exceptional host—warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure we had an amazing time. His recommendations were spot on, and his hospitality elevated the entire experience. Paul and I will be back with the kids next time.
We had the pleasure of dining at this incredible restaurant twice with my family, and both visits were absolutely outstanding. The highlight of our experience was undoubtedly the amazing selection of steaks: the Australian tomahawk was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, while the T-bone from Mazury in Poland was equally impressive in both taste and quality. We also tried the pasta with lobster, which was rich, flavorful, and truly memorable. To top it all off, the dessert a delicate crepe was prepared fresh right at our table, adding a special touch to an already perfect meal. The service was exceptional throughout. We felt truly looked after, especially thanks to the owner, who not only helped us choose the best dishes but also took the time to share a glass of fine whisky with us at the end of the evening. One more big plus: every dish we wanted to try was available in a gluten-free version, which made the experience even more enjoyable. This place is a true gem and we’ll definitely be back!

It was an amazing dinner! We ordered a 1.3-4 kilo Irish T-bone steak, (there were along with Polish and Italian beef). As you can see in the pictures, the cooking was perfect, and the meat was incredibly tender. I thought two people couldn't finish it, but we had no trouble at all. They also have a great selection of half bottles of wine.
Cosy atmosphere and sweet spot for meat lovers. The meat was cooked to perfection and was very tender. The service seemed a little inattentive, but not too bad. We were offered Limoncello in return – good deal! :-)
We came to this restaurant based on a recommendation from two locals and it was an amazing experience. The meat was the best I’ve ever had perfect texture and flavor. The service was friendly and attentive. making us feel so welcome. 🤗 It’s a real gem outside the tourist spots and the prices were similar to city center restaurants but the quality was far superior. A true gem, away from all the tourist traps in the centre. The trattoria specializes in meats and the service here is truly outstanding. Friendly yet highly professional. We were advised by who I believe is the owner, a very friendly and knowledgeable young man who helped us with our order, including the choice of beer (which was perfect!). We had the eggplant and burrata, steak tartare, caponata and tenderloin - all exceptional! Highly recommended if you are looking for great quality meats and service.
Wow what an amazing place for dinner it’s on the Michelin watch list which is no surprise. The food is incredible we had the bone marrow to start Then went to the steak which was so good we ordered a second! The desire too die for and the wine choices from the waiter were incredible! I certainly recommend this place it’s incredible!
Not sure why this place doesn't have an even higher rating. Everything was incredible. I had the truffle pasta (with black truffle) which was so delicious and perfect and also ate one of the meats from the fireplace which was also great. I also got the tiramisu which was good as well, but by that time I was extremely full. The blueberry and elderflower spritzer was excellent and the service was also top notch. The people working here were very knowledgeable and very friendly. They definitely enhanced the experience and made me feel very welcome (I was dining alone). I also got a seat in front of the fireplace which was warm and cozy. Overall excellent experience. Highly highly recommend.
I wanted to eat at a Michelin star restaurant while in Lago di Como. L’Antica did not disappoint! It was delicious. It seems that with every meal, you get fried onion rings and basil plus bread that comes with olive oil. For much first plate (pasta) I ordered the truffle pasta. The pasta was homemade and it was infused with three different types of truffles, including a beautiful shaved truffle that is shaved and served next to your table. My friend got the caprese ravioli. Her ravioli was served in a sweet tomato sauce. We then got the wagyu steak which was served with eggplant parmigiana. The wagyu (and I think all meats) is cooked in the fireplace. I ordered mine medium rare and it came out cooked correctly. I used the black lava Hawaiian salt (one I often use at home). Eggplant is one of my favorite foods and the parmigiana was cooked perfectly. My friend does not normally eat eggplant and had only tried it once, but enjoyed it a lot too. After our glass of Prosecco, our waiter was able to recommend the perfect glasses of wine. My friend got red wine to eat with her meat. I can’t drink red due to allergies, so he recommended a white wine for me as well. I didn’t inform him of my allergies, but there was no judgement about me pairing my white wine with steak. We were worried about getting too much food. Normally we don’t do a pasta plate + entre, but the portions were the right size. We finished it with espresso and a house made dessert. The dessert was a good finish and wasn’t not too sweet. This place is delicious, but not pretentious. The portions are sized fairly. It’s everything you’d want. It’s a bit of a walk from the main streets, but worth it. The service was also great. All around, loved it!

I went close to the afternoon closing, so there was only myself and a couple which were half way finished when I arrived, so it's hard to really rate the atmosphere, bit it was a classic fine dining setting, a nice mood. Service was attentful, and not even though it was just three people inside, I was not pestered. The food. I had ordered the Lobster Linguine. Which was fine. The Linguine though was not Al Dente and the sauce was okay, but nothing amazing. It isn't something I would order again if I were to go again. The steak on the other hand was amazing. I definitely would order that again! The array of salts you can add to it also, really nice, I tried a few which are pictured. The mushroom were cooked to perfection also. The Tiramisu was also very nice, one of the best I've had out in a restaurant.
A very nice experience, from the name it might sound like a simple small restaurant but in reality it is a Michelin Star for several years. They specialise in meat mainly head from several countries. They also serve fish for non meat eaters. The quality of food ambience and service were simply amazing. They have a huge spread of wine from different regions of Italy and other countries as well. The restaurant considering exquisite is a bit expensive compared to others in Como but you get the quality on par. Recommended to book the place before as it can be full, although we were lucky just blocking 30 min before.

This restaurant is very hard to review for overall experience. It offers some of the best meat, and best cooked meat, I’ve had. 60 days hanged. Undercooked but brought on a hot plate it continues to evolve. So well done to those in the kitchen. We turn to the front of house. These are the most mercenary people I’ve met outside of a financial trading desk. It’s an uncomfortable experience to be leaned on by them. And we were offering good money. (We were looking at top notch steak and red wine). Yet it wasn’t enough for them. They recommended we ordered another dish which would never had been necessary. They kept refilling our glass after every sip in order to encourage another bottle purchase. When we kicked off with a glass of white, they brought another wine, which had already been opened, and suggested we might like it. We did not. It was acid that they were trying to flog off 60 cent to the dollar. So, was the good, and expensive food, worth the aggressive and barrow boy service? Alas, no. There are plenty of places knocking out good steak without overtly looking to squeeze every last Euro out of their customers. Perhaps it’s because it’s a holiday place. Maybe they don’t expect people to return. Well, I may return to Como. But I’ll never give this place another go. Running a restaurant isn’t about the food. It’s about the memory you leave. I left with a sour taste.
After all was lost all joy what this place bring. We was group of 18 persons, after I made reservation manager asked me to pay 20€ per person in advance. It’s ok, I did that of course. Me and one person choose 5 dishes menu, what was excellent. We didn’t knew what we will have, but ousters, carpaccio, meet, pasta with trifles- was amazing. Michelin restaurant experience. Waitresses was so careful and friendly. But what was disappointing.. other people didn’t choose so expensive experience for 100€ per persons, some choose desert and drink, some main dishes. We payed more that 700€ in total. Manager was angry that other persons was choose so less at his point, he said that I should talk before with them that in this kind restaurant persons should choose more food, that he had extra waitress and pay more money. Restaurant what not full, no one stayed at the doors. Even that my experience of food was exelent I will never come back there with any group because at no restaurant no one talked with me this way. I’m a client not their worker.
One of the worst pastas I've ever had. The calamarata was overcooked mush, and the entire dish tasted as though it had been sitting out and was then hastily reheated in the oven. €40 for a small portion of pasta and a glass of wine + coperto.
