Momigi Como Reviews
Wow, love this place! Such a nice vibe and the sushi was excellent. Great service too 👍🏻
It was my first visit to this Restaurant and I was very satisfied. The Restaurant has a very atmosphere. The food was delicious with good quality and very fresh. The chefs work fast and with quality. Our waiter David was very kind and professional with me and my husband. David has been one of the best waiters we have ever met. The very friendly hostess placed us at a nice table.
Great service and really solid with gluten and egg allergies. The sushi was fantastic and did not totally break the bank, even when selecting a wide variety of fish and rolls. They had a large sake selection and were very helpful in looking through it and selecting.
Blue Ribbon Sushi certainly lives up to its name! Their sushi is absolutely top-notch, striking the perfect balance between fresh, high-quality ingredients and expert preparation. If you're a sushi aficionado, this is definitely a spot you'll want to check out. It's a delight for the taste buds! I always sit at the bar. The conversation, bartender and Yankee games are a great backdrop to the menu.
This is the place to be. The atmosphere is very pleasant and comfortable, the service is excellent, and more importantly, the sushi is delectable. I am usually picky but I decided to order a multitude of items because of how tasty they sounded. The drinks are also quite good.
We had an amazing dinner at blue ribbon!! We ordered the house salad, the garlic edamame, the steamed shrimp dumplings. We ordered the chefs sushi platter and expecting only sushi rolls but it came also with sashimi which we didn't want so we asked the chef to make it into sushi rolls which he kindly did!!!! Everything was perfect!!!! Amazing service, atmosphere and great wine too!!! Thank you blue ribbon for everything!! I highly recommend this place for a good sushi!!!!
Me and a few of my buddies from Nj stopped by here while we visited and definitely will be back Andrew was a welcoming and insightful server and all staff was extremely friendly. Oxtail fried rice was a 10/10 highly recommend.
We got walk in seating for two on the rooftop which is a small and not that fancy space on the 9 or 10th floor. The food and service were excellent as usual but some of the other diners kept opening the sliding glass doors to go out and smoke. Next time i'd rather sit downstairs at the bar.
Beautiful place! Excellent food with unique flavors, not the typical sushi. Service was helpful with great recommendations. Prices a bit high, but is to be expected in NYC.
Another great dinner here, I’m likely in the “been here 40+ times” club. Andy always takes great care of me and my guests. Tonight I sat at the sushi bar and it’s always awe inspiring to see the chefs work.
Cute date spot! Food is delicious, wouldn’t say it’s life changing but if you’re craving sushi it’ll definitely scratch that itch. Felt nice and light afterwards too. Staff was kind and helpful! EDIT: had to come back and say the spicy tuna crispy rice appetizer absolutely was life changing
If you aren’t looking HARD you will miss it and GoogleMaps didn’t help because I walked by it…TWICE. Anyhoo, walking up the stairs bring you to a small but tastefully decorated decor, the Bar, where I pulled up, is L shaped and they have a few tables on their balcony. The sashimi was delicious and the drinks….strong. If you are in the mood for good sushi head over to Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya. It’s part of the Blue Ribbon family so the freshness of the sushi was expected. Nice spot to chill out at the bar or grab a table. I will be back!
Everything was good. Our server, that never said her name was NOT personable, not knowledgeable and not friendly. Lunch time, the servers/bartenders aren’t always the A team. She was working for her income and that fine. Not the owners fault so we still left a 5 stars review. One thing that I would recommend the owners look into, is her grabbing the glasses from the inside with her fingers, then without washing her hands touching our food. That is very dangerous for contamination of glassware and food. On another hand the food was outstanding! Thank you!
First time here! Our server was amazing. Every weird question we had; he answered! And if he didn't know was the answer he came back with an answer and a sample. We asked for recommendations, he was candid and it's always best when server says he like something particular that your interested in and elaborates why he likes it. Super fresh fish! Even from Japan! Dont forget to check out their specials!
I am quite excited to finally be writing about Blue Ribbon. I have a weak spot for Japanese cuisine, and the Ribbon knew just how to rub it. Fantastic drinks, unparalleled kindness of the staff, and obviously some of the best sushi you will have in New York. The restaurant has an great decor, with a nice sphere and an efficient layout. One of those place you have to have eaten at when coming to SOHO, though you definitely need a reference, you’d walk right by this pearl.
Honestly the best Japanese food I’ve ever had, so fresh and so yummy ! We ordered a lot of food and I can’t picked which one was my favorite ! It kind of pricy , but for special occasion definitely worth it. The place itself is so nice and clean and everyone is so professional . I’ll definitely go back !
had a reservation here for 9 on a friday. the restaurant had a nice chill vibe it’s a good option if you are looking for something with decent sushi and a slower pace than omakase. wide variety of fish with lots of nigiri specials which i love. the maine uni was delicious and i had never had uni from maine before. what really blew me away was the green tea crème brûlée. it was technically one of the best crème brûlées i have had. the custard was incredible creamy and the top was perfectly caramelized. it was also a large portion
Great atmosphere, very attentative staff. Went there on a Sunday evening, and really dug the dim-lit atmosphere of the restaurant. They really nailed the Izakaya vibe. When I ordered only non-meat sushi, the waiter asked if I was vegetarian - which I am. After that, he made sure to give me miso soup that did not use fish broth. Really loved that attention.
Our reviews had over 52 million in the last 12 months. We do not get paid we just love to eat and have fun. We really love Blue Ribbon Sushi Izakaya. The food was great, the service was awesome, the room was lovely and the food was really good. I do not know Japanese names for the food we ate so let me just tell you in my own words. The scallops on a skewer were really buttery and had a wonderful sauce. Same can be said for the steak on a stick. The sticky rice with spice tuna and avocado was delicious but it is not really spicy. Everyone loved this dish. The fried chicken is also great because of the sauces. One is a hot sauce and one is a gently warm honey sauce. We loved the veggie fried rice with egg. The sushi was very good as well. My favorite was the salmon which had a lot of flavor and melted in your mouth. I loved the eel wrapped in cucumber. Desserts were very good, we loved the banana split as well as the chocolate bread pudding. They have espresso and all the other coffee drinks. Each was great. Very lovely evening. We made our initial order then added to it after we decided how full we were. Online there is a pdf menu but the non-pdf menu on the website has photos of every dish which we found very helpful. Be prepared to go up a lot of steps when you enter, but it is worth it. Also has a nice bar area. Check out all of our reviews and look at all the photos below. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 52 million views in the last 12 months and we thank you for that. If we do a review it is because we love it.
A very classy Japanese restaurant with the dining area located on the second floor. We were seating right by the entrance which provided a nice view of the lanterns that lighted up the stairs coming up. We had a sushi and sashimi combo and sashimi deluxe. Not overly heavy and it was a nice way to eat some healthy food to end the night without breaking the bank.
Dope spot for some authentic sushi. Izakaya has a great ambiance. This team is very friendly and accommodating from start to finish. Blue ribbon friend chicken was amazing, so crispy and well seasoned. The sushi was well prepared and there are a ton of combo options so that you are able to try a little of everything.
Celebrated my birthday and did a walked in and they sat us down in less than 15 minutes. They were so nice had the greatest time here although is a Friday night it was crowded my husband and Did NOT felt rushed our waiter was so nice and sweet she gave us recommendations of certain items we should order and she did not disappoint us . We all definitely come back !
The atmosphere is amazing here. When I walk up the stair I didn’t know there’s a patio in the back. Great view and wonderful food. The fish is fresh especially the Uni is soooo sweet. 100% recommendation!! They have a super nice bar as well. Service here is fast, staff is knowledgeable about their menu and make good recommendations.
We lucked out moving right across the street from the Izakaya. We’ve lived across the street from the Soho location for years and it’s our favorite. The LES location did not disappoint!!! This location has even more options that are no longer on the other menu. Veggie tempura is a fave. As are the ebi shumai, the grilled avocado (a new fave!) and crispy rice. Full bar and ample space for large groups. Service was lovely and sitting at the sushi bar is always entertaining. Casual or can be a place to dress up. It’s dimly lit and decorated amazingly!
Stylish and lively spot on the Lower East Side offering top-notch sushi alongside creative izakaya dishes. The vibe is upscale-casual, perfect for late dinners, sake with friends, or a solo treat. Fresh fish, great cocktails, and a warm atmosphere make it a standout for sushi lovers after dark!
Crispy rice is a must. I visited in a big group for a birthday and had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend for a special occasion, I’m always impressed when larger classy restaurants like this exist in Manhattan. The sushi was fresh and flavorful. And we loved the lychee-tinis on the cocktail menu!
Beautiful atmosphere and all the waiters and hosts were very attentive. I came here with a big group on a Friday night with reservations and we were sat immediately. The food was generally very good, with a few vegan options on the menu. The sushi rolls are tiny so if you have a big appetite, be prepared to order multiple rolls. The price is a little high for the amount of food you get, but that is standard of restaurants in soho. Overall, I would recommend this place.
Went for casual dinner, sashimi and sushi were average for the price but still good. The highlights of the night would be the bone marrow fried rice, savory with rich flavors. Enter the restaurant from the hotel next door to the second floor. The bar is also on the same floor with the awesome honest bartender.
We usually go to the Sullivan St location but since their hours have been adjusted, we weren't able to do lunch. We tried a different sushi place before in lieu of Blue Ribbon and while it was good, it wasn't memorable like Blue Ribbon. This location is nice. Swanky. I love you don't think you're in a hotel since it has its own entrance from the Sixty. Service was good, although it didn't measure to the Sullivan location. Fish was definitely fresh, delicious and high quality without fail. Rolls are properly sized as they should be. Prices are consistent with their other locations and on par with the quality. Now, if you're going there for the value of your dollar, don't. This is not your sushi place where you're going to get massive rolls that don't fit in your mouth for 12 bucks and you can't taste anything but rice. Do go here if you want a great scallop roll and king salmon where you can tell difference to regular salmon.
This place was recommended by a friend, so we decided to visit. The restaurant is trendy, large and has a nice selection of sushi’s besides the traditionally known sushi’s (plain nigiri’s). Personally I liked the atmosphere there a lot - vibrant. I like the crab, salmon & salmon roe maki. The specialty Blue ribbon lobster maki was not too special I would say, but if you feel like having lobster maki’s, then go ahead. It’s a nice place to have dinner with friends.
We arrived in NY city early in the morning and were looking for a nice sushi restaurant to have for lunch . We looked up sushi restaurants nearby our hotel and Blue Ribbon sushi came up first with the most positive reviews so we gave it a try. When we walked in, we were impressed with nice decorations. The sushi was delicious but the portion was much smaller than expected and it was on the pricy side. The wait staffs were nice but for the amount of money we paid , we were still hungry and had to go and grab a slice of pizzas to feel full .
It is delicious. Kinda price but delicious. Service could get kinda slow for certain dishes. And they forget to present one dish. Environment is nice or should I say the atmosphere. Definitely should visit here if you never been to a Blue Ribbon Sushi place. But I am just wondering when my second time would be compared that here are just so many places or choices to compete with. Keep moving buddy.
We wanted to try a different sushi spot for a change and decided to have dinner at Blue Ribbon Sushi last weekend. The restaurant is on the second floor and in a very vibrant downtown location for those who are familiar with SoHo. I enjoyed all the recommended house favorites from the half lobster roll, yellowfin tuna, etc. even the edamame was delicious. The ambiance is welcoming and lively. Our server was a bit busy so we ended up placing our order with another server who was also friendly and made some good recommendations. It was an overall good experience and we would visit again in the future.
This place feels like a hidden slice of Japan tucked beneath New York’s streets. Walking down the lantern-lit staircase instantly sets the mood — calm, cozy, and a little mysterious. The sashimi platter was beautifully presented, especially the seared fish with that light smokiness. Everything tasted fresh, though a couple of pieces could’ve been sliced a bit thinner for balance. The service was attentive without being pushy, and the staff seemed genuinely proud of their craft. Prices are what you’d expect for quality sushi in Manhattan — not cheap, but fair for what you get. Overall, it’s the kind of spot you bring someone when you want to slow down, have great food, and feel like you’ve stepped out of the city for a bit. Would definitely come back for another round of sashimi and sake!
Seen a lot of negative reviews but as a person whose been to a lot of sushi joints I really don't understand it. The service was great, sushi was reasonable for the price and I felt the food was better then most spots in NY overall. Didn't love the atmosphere tho dining by the bar but a good time overall.
So - I went here circa 2017 and have great memories of a good meal. I only recently returned and was disappointed. The scallop skewers were incredible, but everything else I had was mediocre. Well, actually the spicy scallop roll was good. The sushi was just ok and not good enough to justify the price. Quality grade sushi but when it was served to me it felt like it had been sitting out for a bit. There are just better sushi places in the city at this price. Maybe this place has changed post pandemic. I will not be returning.
Just ok.. the sushi was falling apart..
I was surprised with my visit here. Seems like they are making a trade-off for a downgraded quality for attending more people. I visit them last Friday night, full house but wait to eat at the bar was 5 minutes. Waiting time for food to arrive and check to arrive was fairly long, more than 40 minutes each. Sushi was good, but arrived warm, especially the rice was hot.
The decor is fantastic! It looks really good. The food was ok but way way way overpriced for the quality and taste! It cost $30 for fried chicken and it wasn’t a family meal :). The sushi was just okay it wasn’t bad but for the cost it’s not really justifiable. Service was just ok. I think I would just suggest stopping by for drinks but not really for drinks. Way too expensive for what you get.
Upscale izakaya, very nice interior. Food was pricey. Yaki short rib was a little tough but the flavor profile was good. Spicy tuna crispy rice was not as crunchy as I would’ve liked. Karaage was good, not super breaded which was good. Bone marrow fried rice was overhyped - did not really taste any bone marrow or oxtail. Also really oily. There was also a fly in the bar area 😵
I recently got dinner at this location with a group of my gals to celebrate one of their birthdays, and had a pretty good experience. I would rank it pretty moderate — not perfect but not horrible either. I will be very raw and honest off the bat to start here because I was actually so disappointed in the quality of their cocktails. They have a BEAUTIFUL bar — I mean stunning like I would love to work there. And the drinks are super pricey which is fine — but that being said I was expecting to indulge in some excellent/top notch cocktails... but that wasn't the case at all. This place is not skilled in mixology even to the slightest. I sent back the first drink I ordered (which I NEVER do but it was expensive and it was so bad I literally couldn't even drink it). I then ordered a skinny margarita and it also was pretty disappointing. It tasted watery and unbalanced — I couldn't tell if there was tequila in there either. It was like watery lime juice LOL. I also tasted my friend's lychee cocktail which she did enjoy, but I thought it tasted like straight lychee syrup. The drink was unbalanced again and didn't taste anything like a cocktail. The reason I am giving this place a 3 overall is partly because of their cocktail quality, but also because of their portions sizes. I thought the overall atmosphere and service was pretty moderate (nothing stood out), and the food quality itself was excellent... but I left HUNGRY. I wanted to order more but honestly it was pricey — and I knew I was still gonna be hungry if I did LOL. If I am going to spend what I did I want bigger portions not 5 bites of food. Again the food quality was fabulous, might I even say a 10/10, but so insanely small.
I went in with three of my kids. Nice atmosphere. Friendly service. We paid over $100, however, and went away hungry. The portions were small for the price. I had to take them out for more food. I wasn't impressed with the sushi. I'm not an expert, but what we get at Whole Foods is just as good. Also the wine was expensive and wasn't very good.
honestly awful. the fish was not fresh, the dishes were inconsistent and weird. i’ve come here a few times over the last few years and it definitely has gone way down in quality. i was very disappointed. they brought me a lychee martini and it tasted like sea water. i was baffled. i asked for a new one and they did bring me a better one but like… what the hell? what the helly? why did it even taste fishy in the first place. won’t come back. the service was good though.
Came in at noon on a Sunday for what we hoped would be slightly upscale sushi. Space was not very pleasant, including a sports tv. Service was nice enough but food quite disappointing. Felt very expensive for the quality.
The portion sizes for the appetizers were too small and the price doesn’t reflect the quality of the fish. You can get extremely fresh melt in your mouth sushi from Sushi 35 West for much cheaper
The service and atmosphere was fantastic but honestly the sushi fell very short of its price point. Most sashimi was watery, lacking flavor, barring the the nice thick cuts of salmon. The sushi also lacked the same charm, barring the shrimp which was nicely sweet and flavorful. I'd avoid this place if you are an avid sushi fan, but if you're looking for a date spot and looking to impress this might do very nicely. Price: C- Taste: B-
Not much better than mall sushi. Salmon was almost inedible, grizzly bits and came out almost warm? Also we had flies around our table, can’t imagine the kitchen is much better. Charging top tier prices for low quality frozen fish, don’t be fooled.
Delivery was fast which is great but unfortunately the food didn’t live up to the expectation. The fish didn’t taste fresh. The salmon maki that came with the combo was mashed… not sure who likes mashed salmon. Maybe it was the platter I ordered but for the price it really was not okay. Not a positive experience.
Food was very bland & sushi wasn’t that good. Our server also wasn't very engaging. We never even got his name….maybe a bad day. Everyone was kind but overall good could get way better.
Most horrible experience of my life. My date and I have been iching are bodies for days after dining here. The sushi was poor quality and not tasty. The rice was falling apart. They use cheap quality fish and rice. The fish may contain parasites here or We got histamine poisoning. Service was nothing special and the place is empty. I wish I walked out when I saw they have a C rating but my date was positive so I tried to give benefit of the doubt. Don’t be like me and let people pressure you into doing something that you feel uncomfortable doing then suffering the consequences. Good luck.
Aesthetically pleasing but definitely not worth the price and the quality of the food was horrible. Definitely do not come here for brunch. Eggs were over cooked, coffee were bland, toast had no butter and nothing we had was worth it. The staff was friendly and place looked nice, but that was the only plus side to our experience. For the price they charge per dish, there are definitely so many other better options! Good luck and thank you for reading!
