George’s Rooftop Coronado Reviews
Really nice staff, no wait on a saturday night when coronado was crazy, good shrimp tacos 2 for $17 but wish the sauces/toppings were more flavorful, good chips and guac ($16) not a big menu either
I was so excited to hear about a new rooftop bar on the island and it did not didsapoint! It was slightly windy and chilly at first but then the sun came out and it was perfect! I usually don’t talk about a restaurants fries but you NEED to try them! Very friendly staff and a healthy and delicious menu, a great spot to enjoy your afternoon in the sun with great food and drinks!
Small restaurant. Great drinks. Excellent food. Enjoyed this hidden gem. Open air
This place is pretty cool it has awesome views. The food here was really good especially love their french fries are like little potato skins. I would definitely recommend getting the wagyu Burger. They have some good drinks recommend the old fashioned. the service was really good but I will say that the second crew was better than the first crew.
Everything was super great! The view amazing! Everyone there was super nice, especially this one girl, I didn’t get her name but she had blonde curly hair, she was the one who recommended the place to me and my sister!
Amazing vibes, great staff, delicious food. Me and my boyfriend came here for valentines as visitors of San Diego, and we absolutely loved everything about it here. So sad I don’t live in SD because I would come here all the time.
This was a great experience! The staff are very friendly and the food and cocktails are delicious. It’s worth it to make a reservation as it guarantees you will get a spot with a table. You can also just drop in if you want to hang out at the bar. I love how they incorporated the historic neon signs from the original motel behind the bar and on the side of the hotel. The blue and pink neon signs at night echo those vibes of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe’s era.
I went to The Dive for a girls night and had truly the best experience. We had a perfect table with the most amazing views and had the most welcoming staff. The cocktails are so yummy highly reccomend the dutchess a lovely gin drink. You have to start out with the french fries with the tastiest aioli dipping sauce and ordered the fish tacos as the entree. They were super juicy and came with 3 large tacos. I will forsure be visiting again and plan to get drinks & apps during their golden happy hour. We were also greeted by the manager Jason who made sure we were well taken care of. The best rooftop bar in san diego!!

Had a proposal party here and the food/staff/service was impeccable. I could not have asked for a better night. Loved it so much that we went back 2 days later for drinks and apps.
The chilaquiles with chicken tasted really good! The waiter was great and quick with everything making the visit pleasant. We both loved the atmosphere and will be back soon.
Group shared so many entrees and drinks. Every single item was amazing. Server Fernando was on point. Seafood zarazuela was my favorite but the calamari was a VERY close second. Every single item was so good. Crab cakes, burrata salad. Then the drinks. 6 different drinks tried around the table sooooo good. My fave was the duchess and then the newton's law. But the psm and the lights camera action so good too.
I loved my rooftop dinner experience last week at Dive! The food was awesome (shrimp tacos, calamari, avocado salad), the staff was very friendly, and the views were beautiful. Our group was about 25 people and still everything was brought out quickly and the servers always checked in. Highly recommend for groups and events. Will definitely be back again :)
This is such a special spot in Coronado! We rented out a 'Rooftop Nook' for a private event and the team went above and beyond to accomodate our party - plus everything on the menu was fantastic. The tacos are a must-try and the cocktails are delicious. Bonus points for the sunset views, everyone had a great time.
This was a great little rooftop bar that I just happened to notice while waiting on our shuttle. It decorated very modern and cute! The host/waiter was very personable and super friendly. The Wagyu burger and chicken sandwich were ok, but the herbed cauliflower was delicious! The view was great too! We would definitely visit again!!
Great open air resturant with comfortable seating, attentive service, and delicious food and drinks. We had the grilled octopus and the shrimp tacos which were both very tasty. The cocktails were perfectly mixed with adequately effervescent club soda even though it was poured from a tap. I will definitely be returning here during our stay in Coronado and would highly recommend it.

AMAZING time at Dive! The food, drinks, views, were just perfect. I'd recommend the waygu burger, or chicken sandwich but everything we tried was great. Definitely a must do in Coronado island.

Great place to have a drink with a phenomenal view. It seems like the bartenders are mixologist curating delicious drinks. The food is perfectly curated to be healthy but still flavorful . Highly recommend the carajillo. It was extremely busy, however Fernando, Dianne, Alex, and Jet took care of me and provided a phenomenal experience
The Dive in Coronado is an absolute gem, and if you're lucky enough to sit at the bar when Kyle is working, you're in for a treat. He's not just a great bartender—he's incredibly personable, and always a genuine conversation. You can tell he really cares about the experience each guest is having, and it makes all the difference. The fish tacos are insanely good—healthy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Ask Kyle about his sister and for a mezcal margarita. Will not disappoint.
Absolutely love this spot. Mitchell is THE BEST - I’ve had him as a server twice now, and he’s the reason I keep coming back! Not to mention the drinks are phenomenal and the food is delicious. One of my favorite spots on the island
We were a group of 7 so they had to cram round and square tables together. Service was pretty good for a large group on a Friday night. They have a small menu but good choices. Calamari was a bit overdone, and the portion was small but other entrees and salads our group ordered had generous portions and looked delicious. Recommend the Dive Sangria. Drinks and food are a bit pricey so I wish we would have gone during Happy Hour. It was an easy walk from our hotel. Great views from the roof top.

I was thrilled to learn that Dive just opened. I love that Coronado has a few new trendy spots to balance out our tried and true local favorites. Dive was able to accommodate our spontaneous walk in visit Sunday afternoon. The host was kind and welcoming and we sat at the bar while we waited for a table. Drinks: my friend liked her bourbon cocktail, but my mezcal cocktail was bland and uninteresting. (Disappointing for a $16 drink!) Food: we ordered the sliders. Good flavor but a bit dry and hard. They overcooked them. The potato side- something between a chip and a fry- was delicious. We ordered the crab toast, but were served the shrimp toast. One soft squishy piece of toast with something akin to a paste spread on it. Tasteless. The arugula was the best thing about this dish. The heat lamps were not working. (They’re working on this though.) The vibe is great. Location is wonderful, right across from the Hotel Del. It’s a beautiful space, but some improvements could definitely be made. I’m hoping these are just new restaurant growing pains.

Went to the rooftop bar to have a drink with my son, in the evening, who was interested in having his engagement party here. It wasn’t crowded. We asked to sit with a view of the hotel. The hostess who sat us was very pleasant. We sat there for 10 minutes waiting for our server, again not crowded. Never came by. We decided to sit at the bar. We sat down and not one bartender acknowledged us. There were 3 people trying to figure something electronic out in the corner, one young server walking back and forth and one server making drinks. I had to flag the one server down and ask to order. He never said a word. Just nodded and brought us water. We ordered from him. Another server came by with our drinks. Still! Not one word from any of them, nor any eye contact. The courteous thing to have done here would have been to acknowledge us when we sat down with a “hi, we will be with you in a second.” When I asked for the bill it was put down on the counter, no words, no eye contact, and then the guy walked away. Obviously not having his engagement party here. The drinks were good and the drink menu was intriguing. But we will not be back.
Pretty views. Waitress and hostess were nice and friendly. Mojito tasted off, there was no mint, food was bland, not enough salt. Burger came out burnt even though medium was asked for. I asked for no onions and onions were added all over the top. I picked them off, waitress noticed and didn't saying anything. Really beautiful sunset tho

I don’t think I’ve ever written a food review. The food here was SO bad we couldn’t eat it. The drinks were also strange. We ordered sangria and peach cocktails came out. Go to the Del or literally anywhere else.

Bad food bad service, total not worth it. Guacamole and salsa has so taste, added so much salt in the chips. The octopus is super salty as well. Our water was empty for so long, tried to get the server’s attention, no one came to help us out, we had to walk up to the server to get our water filled up. Asked for the bill, the server said he will go and split that, but went to other tables afterwards.
