Best place to grab breakfast in the morning. They're dough is shipped straight from Long Island. They have an ever growing assortment of bagels and other breakfast items including many gluten free options. If you are in the area I highly recommend you stop by and try one of their amazing bagels, but if you aren't a bagel fan, fear not, they have paninis, wraps, and other sandwiches.

My first time here. The breakfast selection is huge. I opted for the Southwestern on an onion bagel. Awesome. Though not cheap well worth the extra cost for home cooked breakfast. Will be a regular there from now on.

Placed a catering order on very short notice for 16 people. The manager was so friendly and more than happy to help out getting this order together. The sandwiches and bagel chips were amazing. They do more than just bagels. The sandwiches are upscale and simply phenomenal. Delicious!

We loved it here. There are many options from breakfast to lunch (and bonus breakfast all day!! My favorite!) We came here twice and both times the food was really good, cooked quickly and the staff were very friendly. The bagels were tasty and warm and we'd definitely stop by here again next time we're in town.

We came here on a whim after another local shop had a really long line and were pleasantly surprised! The coffee was delicious and they had a ton of different flavors. The breakfast sandwich was a generous size and very tasty. We saw about 5 other things on the menu that we talked about coming back to try. Will definitely return!

The staff are super friendly, they play good music, the bagels are good, they got good orange juice that's not from concentrate, and they got coffee mania coffee which is really good. Great place for a quick breakfast

This place is one of my new favorites! The food is great and at a decent price too. They have a bunch of different kinds of wraps or sandwiches or salads, and the breakfast bagels are my new go-to before work. And the owner is great and super nice!

Excellent bagel shop right here in Cortland. The quality is top notch and reminds us of the delis and hard rolls from down state. Definitely a must if you find yourself looking for breakfast or lunch in town. They also serve coffee mania so they cover all the bases.

Every time I eat here it's fresh and so good. Wraps are perfect temp and soft. Added bonus is that they serve coffee mania! Put me in coach cause I'm hungry.

We moved into western NY six years ago. We only get good bagels and hard rolls when we visit or people bring them. New York bagel has a decent deal so I ordered. We got them yesterday. Toasted up a Cinn/Raison today. OMG Im back home. Thank you NY Bagel.

Great bagels, plus they have cool funky flavors. Not only good service and bagels but smoothies and more stuff. This place loads the cream cheese up in the bagel just like you are hoping for, trust me.

This place is an absolute must to visit when in cortland. The food choices are alot but everything is so good. The owner is super friendly and the staff is very quick to help you. Tip: try the "good karma on bagel of your choice" you will not be disappointed!! Sometimes a little crowded but definitely worth the wait!

There was a good vegetarian bagel option, and I added egg to mine. The bagels are delicious. Coffee was good, too. I hope to see them switching to regular mug options for customers who dine in, so to reduce single-use waste.

Cool little bagel shop with nice menu (more than just bagels) in the center of charming town I'd never been to before. Lots of parking, and many tables inside. My bagel was super fresh, cream cheese was really tasty and the coffee was just what the doctor ordered for my wake up call! I'll go back for sure. Staff friendly and when I asked them for directions, another patron walked over to answer me.

I’ve been going here for years now and the food is always my favorite. Fresh, hot, and perfectly paired. They have an array of drinks to choose from as well. Staff works to keep up with the place and is quick. My favorite is the Chipotle Chicken Panini. The owner is wonderful as well, he’s super pleasant to work with when placing large group orders!

The staff was friendly, the line moved quickly, my yogurt parfait was delicious, as was my partner’s bagel. But the best part was my frozen Reese’s mocha! It was perfectly blended to have that good good texture, some places don’t blend enough and you get ice chunks and some blend too much and it’s watery, but I received the much anticipated and sought after perfect blend w the frozen slushy consistency and amazing flavor!! Overall great experience!! Thank you to the barista who made mine today! Muy delicioso!

This place is fantastic not only are the bagels delicious, but the staff is so amazing I went in on a Sunday morning to get bagels for myself and my co workers I ordered 18 bagels with a pint of cream cheese and they were so amazing and nice they went the extra mile and made them fresh for us!! These bagels are the closest you are going to get to a NYC bagel. What a great little shop! I will for sure be going back again!!

i’ve gone here twice and gotten the açaí bowl both times haha. every bowl has the same base but you pick the toppings. they’re really good! if you ask for nutella, they put quite a lot of it. lots of granola in the açaí too. good quality fruit toppings. very filling! no complaints!

So glad we decided to come here on a whim. They have Açaí bowls served all day that are very delicious and bagel sandwiches made to order. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted because everything looked so yummy! Service was very prompt and kind in waiting/helping me decide what I wanted. Hope I can come back here soon for a bagel!

Its a solid bagel shop with plenty of fiod and beverage choices. Very busy when school is in session so don't visit if your in a hurry. To aid this they do have an order system in place which accepts phone calls or texts, 10-15 minutes prior.

Great place to grab breakfast or lunch. Their breakfast and lunch wraps are very yummy. The bagels aren’t the best in my opinion because they are kind of on the dry side, Price Chopper makes a better fresher bagel than NY bagel does. Overall though it’s a good place to get food. The customer service is always friendly!

It was a cool Sunday afternoon in April, when I found myself drawn to the idea of a toasted bagel sandwich, So with visions of glistening melted cheese and crisp toasted deliciousness I walked into the New York Bagel, I was taken back by the amount of people in line ahead of me, and nearly turned around to leave, but the promise of local bagel heaven was to much to turn down. The line moved quickly and I soon found myself at the counter ready to place my order. "1 Italian sandwich" I proclaimed, to which the man behind the counter responded "we only have whole wheat bagels right now", I stammered momentarily unsure what to make of the situation, as the line of hungry college students grew behind me, It was then that the man behind the counter suggested I try the sandwich as a wrap, I agreed, and he took my name, and handed me my slip. As I waited for my wrap I took note of the eating area, very few tables occupied the small establishment, each of which seated 4 people comfortably, there was a stair case leading down, though I did not get an opportunity to explore as my name was promptly called for wrap. Tightly twisted inside the green spinach tortilla were 3 meats, tomatoes, lettuce, and, cheese, however it was hard to distinguish between the various flavors as the salami was cut as thick as $.75 worth of quarters stacked together, which would have been amazing on a bagel, but only proved a challenge in a wrap, the tomatoes were juicy and the tortilla was fresh, an overall enjoyable wrap, though I'm not going to go out of my way to spend another $7+ on it. Overall if not for the wonderful service I may have given my experience 3 stars, but good customer service and presentation are far more rare than an over priced wrap with 8oz salami slices.

Frank ensured that I could still order, pay for, and get my food without compromising work rules. He was professional, kind, and I really appreciated being able to order both my lunch and dinner before my night shift. Thanks again Frank! Sorry I didn't have any cash to tip! P.S. New York Bagel is always pretty great and everyone is kind, but Frank really went above and beyond today. 🌻💙 P.P.S. Service dogs should be allowed in; always double-check with the staff though!

I stopped here for a bit on a nearby visit to Cortland! I got the Owego sandwich with orange juice, and it was really tasty! It seems like a really pleasant to chill. I do wish that the guest wifi wasn't limited to only 30 minutes though, otherwise I would make it a regular place to write.

Food was good. Bagels were decent for the area and the coffee was excellent. The location/atmosphere seems to be nice as well. On the other hand, the service was slow. I think maybe they just needed to make a fresh pot of coffee, but they didn't tell us this up front. We were waiting for 15-20 minutes for just bagels and coffee with no indication as to why. It's not a problem if you have to put on more coffee, I'll wait for that no problem, but just a friendly heads-up would be appreciated.

They have few very nice bagels. The space has a good spot with road side view. My kids favorite there is hot chocolate. The staff is young and active. A good bagel and coffee place in the town just at the main street.

It takes a long time to receive your order, even if it's only coffee. Other coffee places are much quicker.

Nothing impressing. Im sure its a cute place for locals but as and out of towner its not a place i have on the list to come back. The food was good tho.

New York bagel is a good spot to go to in a pinch but I would recommend other spots around Cortland before New York Bagel. I will say they do have great brownies if you wanted a sweet treat.

I love NY Bagel and have been going since I moved to Cortland. Recently I've been having issues with my coffee orders. I ordered a cappuccino off of their 'Specials' list and I received it scorching hot, I burned the tips of the three fingers holding the hot coffee cup, the milk wasn't foamy like a cappuccino, it was just a burnt latte, and when I opened the cup, there was a thick film from the milk on top of the drink, not appetizing. Please train your baristas behind the counter correctly. This isn't the only time it's happened.

Coffee was amazing, breakfast sandwich was meh. Sandwich had frozen sausage, overcooked egg, bagel barely toasted so it didn't hold together well at all. Bf got some bottled grape juice that was very nearly wine, but had no expiration date on the bottle. Staff was curt and didn't give welcoming vibes. Waited 40 minutes for our order. Haven't tried the lunch or dinner options. The bagels we're great and the cream cheese was good. We'll probably try again another day. Tldr: but the bagels with cream cheese or the coffee. Avoid the breakfast sandwiches.

Under construction so seemed a bit dark. Had a Begal with butter on one side cream cheese on the other. Definitely was lacking but I guess I wouldn't have expected them put back together.. was disappointed in the bagel Update... construction done! Still lots of noise from behind the counter.. made the meeting I was at hard to hear.. food about the same but seemed fresher this time New update, I went back since I had a gift certificate... It was not as loud .. the Food 100% better and tasted good just a bit on the slow side but I take that for the good fresh taste. Just make sure you aren't in a hurry.

I've tried not to write anything during COVID as I know things are not "normal," but when you walk into a place that specializes in bagels at 7:45 AM, you expect a nice warm, fresh bagel. Not the case. Rock hard stale and absolutely no flavor (everything bagel). Service was fine, but it was also empty. I don't think they toasted it very long, because of how hard it was to begin with. Just shocked that a place with bagel in the name would serve such a bad bagel.

I came here on recommendation and was not particularly impressed. The bagels are not toasted for the bagel sandwiches, which is normally fine, but these bagels were cold while the contents were warm.. ultimately making for a lukewarm sandwich. There was also very little selection for bagels. Not much seating either.

Definitely not a good bagel. In my entire life, I've never seen a bagel so white and bland. Also, it seems that their toaster is broken as well since that didn't seem to fix my bagel's complexion.

I waited for fifteen minutes for the sandwich I ordered and then the workers remembered I was still waiting- they had forgotten my order... Which I'd already paid for. To be fair the food was good once I finally got it.

I hate leaving bad reviews. I really do. The meal was just bad. The bagels were frozen, ruining the texture. They were not toasted before making the sandwich. I just could not finish my breakfast sandwich. The decor was nice and the staff were friendly, but I cannot recommend the place. Their core product if fundamentally flawed.

The first couple visits were decent even when packed. The visits, including today, when it's not busy is bad. The inconsistency of the quality of food prep is horrible when not busy. The people working there just seemed uninterested in their job and the lack of cream cheese on the bagels that were ordered had proven just that.

Tried calling 3 separate times to order, but nobody answered. Showed up in person and ordered a bacon egg and cheese and 2 sliced bagels in a bag. Cashier was rude and dismissive. I then waited almost 15 minutes for the sandwich, and in that 15 minutes only 1 other sandwich came out. Sandwich was decent, but not worth the unnecessary wait and poor service. The menu and atmosphere seem great though, so hopefully not every day is like this.

I ordered a sandwich, probably worst sandwich i've had in my life. Chicken was awful and it was not at all what i wanted.

Every single time I order from them they get my order wrong, this has happened on multiple occasions and the last time when I politely told the lady it was wrong her response was “well I already made it so..” I understand things happen however this has happened to me almost every time I go and I do not appreciate the way they responded

I’m a local and have worked on main street at a restaurant myself so I try to be patient and understanding but I’ve given this place so many chances because I like their menu options but the service is awful 9/10 times. Wrong orders, people served ahead of us after coming in way after, not calling our order out. Not going back again unfortunately!

Last time I went to New York Bagel, I was given a different sandwich than what I was charged for. When I complained, I received a lukewarm apology and no offer of a refund or any sort of compensation. The items served are much better than other local options, but the staff's organization and overall hospitality is lacking here.
