Sooooo tasty, everything we ordered was 🔥 . We got tiramisu, shrimp chowder, a few paninis, plus some of their homemade potato chips (I was doubtful but they garlic and herb dusting was WORTH it). And the staff was so kind and fun.

We had the Italian Cheesesteak sandwich and Meatball Sub. WOW! It was delicious. Best we ever had. The tiramisu was tasty too. 10/10!!

Hands down: THEE BEST TUNA SANDWICH known to all mankind. We stopped by the deli on our way to Oakland, and then to Chicago for a long road trip, and my gosh, what a treat! We highly recommend!

This is their Italian Sub. OK but not great. Plenty of meat, has thin sliced red onion and pepperoncini. The bread was dry. I went to order, it's $17, and expected $3 back from my $20. The employee says let's see what it comes to with tax and... So sales tax and something else? What is that something else on top of sales tax??? Sales tax is a full 10% so would have been $1.70. So I said to him, on a cold sandwich to go there is no sales tax. He kept screwing around playing with the payment terminal for a while. He finally said that since I was paying cash it would be a "flat $17." So he disrespected or disregarded my comment about a cold sandwich to go being non-taxable and instead decided there would be no tax added only because I was paying cash. So I did get $3 change. How do you figure it would be doing a customer a favor to collect an extra $1.70 in tax when it is not even owed on a cold food item? The owner happened to be there sitting at a table. I said to him, you should tell your employees there is no tax on cold sandwiches to go. He replied to me, "It's the government."

Our second time here, got lunch and we can't say enough good things. I'd put 6 stars if I could. The owners are genuine New York Italianos 🇮🇹 continuing to share authentic family recipes. If you've been or lived out East or Chicago, you'll know how Italian food is supposed to taste. If you've never experienced Italian food with the added secret ingredient (Italian LOVE) then come to Canevari's Deli.

Excellent deli The sandwiches are great my wife had the Italian sub and I had the meatball sub excellent. But what did me in the end was the cannolis and the tiramisu very very good I went back the next day to get more cannolis. They also make homemade potato chips with your grade. And of course the raviolis are awesome and they have frozen raviolis that you can take home and cook whenever you want with your own sauce or with theirs. The minestrone soup is very good too and so are there little Italian donuts. Canterberries has been there since about 1929. Make sure you stop by and give it a try it's definitely worth it I wouldn't steer you wrong. Make sure you say hi to Lou.

Best ever! A have a hard time with deli’s because of the whole can’t have gluten thing. A co worker of mine was going here and said he would ask if they had GF bread, and they did. So good! Went there today with my husband who is from NY and loves his Italian sub. He was so happy! He raved about the cannoli as well. They are doing something special here. You will pay, but for the quality I will do it again. There is nothing like this in Santa Rosa. The meat on their Italian is different. I don’t know if they are doing the curing and seasoning themselves or from a good vendor but it is amazing. The GF bread, reminded me of sourdough but also a good chew. Try this place, you will not be sorry you did!

I love to support the local businesses. Always passing by this place; we finally decided to try a first time the atmosphere and service were beautiful! Food was also delicious!

Yes. Canevari's is exactly what you want: delicious hot sandwiches, Molinari salami and some dry goods to take home for later, fresh ravioli for dinner, friendly service, and an atmosphere of comfort. Yes, you want to be here

Kim was an absolute delight and our sandwiches were fantastic! Our group ordered the chicken panini, tri tip, Italian, and Reuben sandwiches. All were incredible! Topped off with some homemade chips and cannoli - we left very full and happy!

I ordered the family size meat lasagna and family size house salad for my family to eat for Christmas dinner. My mom is Italian American and both parents are from Connecticut so they are very tough to impress after growing up eating authentic Italian food. Firstly, we couldn’t believe for $65 we got 3 lbs of meat lasagna, 15 meatballs in marinara, and a giant loaf of garlic bread. WHAT? Where can you get that much food for that price?! My family devoured the food and said it lived up to all of their dreams of the Italian food they used to eat at home. We were all pleasantly surprised how fresh and delicious the house salad was - no iceberg lettuce here. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back.

Great family Italian food. I buy their frozen ravioli & sauce for dinner. The ravioli tastes very fresh once cooked and the sauce tastes homemade as well. It is not the cheapest place but for the quality it is well worth it. Their service is prompt and friendly. Every sandwich I have had here has been top notch.

Just get the ravioli with pesto. I swear idk what they put in it, but it is heavenly. The garlic bread that comes with it too is equally satisfying. Do your taste buds a flavor (see what I did there?) and go eat there! -Omg, I just remembered I have some leftovers in the fridge, gotta go! 🤤

Got two specials specials today (Italian Cheese steaks) for me and a friend who was visiting. We didn't talk much while eating because they were so good. If we did talk while we were eating, it was about the sandwich. I don't know what cut of meat it was but it was crazy tender. This place never disappoints. Word of advice, always get the special, never had a bad one.

Had the meatballs sub. This was raw best Sub, I've ever eaten. Meatballs & Marinara sauce were excellent. I bought some large Meatballs to take home, they were so good. Very authentic. Will definitely be going back. When you walk in your greeted by a real friendly staff

The oldest and best Italian deli in Sonoma county. This is the real deal. Amazing food and good people. Take the cannoli.

I came on Tuesday, so I had to get a Tuesday special — Chicken parmesan sandwich. The sandwich tasted good, the chicken was tender, and the cheese was stretchy and delicious. The garlic bread was also tasty. However, I couldn't get rid of the feeling that the sandwich was missing something fresh, like tomato or lettuce. The service was good, but not outstanding. The interior looked nice, but has limited seating and can get busy very quickly. Plus, in my opinion, it's a little overpriced. 3.5 stars for sure.

I ordered the meat ravioli and unfortunately it came out very doughy. I returned to the restaurant with the dish and the owner noticed me right away. He came over, asked what the problem was, and personally checked the ravioli. He offered to make another order and even had me try one before serving, but it was still not quite right. The owner then offered to make me whatever I wanted, but since I was short on time I opted for the spaghetti with a meatball. He also suggested that I request a refund through DoorDash since that is how I had originally placed my order. He did not charge me for the replacement meal and even included a dessert at no cost. Although my first dish was disappointing, I was very impressed with the way the owner handled the situation. He was attentive, professional, and genuinely cared about making things right. The spaghetti and meatball were tasty and the free dessert was a thoughtful gesture. I left feeling appreciated as a customer and will definitely give this place another try. I recommend this restaurant not only for the food but also for the excellent customer service.

We ordered spaghetti with meatball, meat ravioli, a chopped salad, and an italian sandwich. The salad and sandwich were phenomenal, but sadly, the ravioli's texture was too soft—they had a very mushy mouth feel and broke apart too easily. The spaghetti also fell short. The marinara sauce had a noticeable tartness and some parts of it were watery. While the other items were excellent, the pasta dishes were unfortunately disappointing.

stopped by this sandwich shop expecting a quick meal, but the customer service completely ruined the experience. The staff were rude, unprofessional, and acted as if helping customers was a burden. My order was taken carelessly, and instead of correcting their mistake, they made excuses and gave me attitude. The wait was far longer than it should have been, and when I finally got my food, it was poorly made. No apology, no effort to make things right. A simple sandwich shouldn’t come with so much stress. If you value good service and respect as a customer, this is not the place to go. Definitely not worth the money or the frustration.
