Bread & Butter Crowley Reviews
this place is so cute!!! the staff were really nice, the food was SO good, and it was decorated really lovely! i cant recommend it enough. you do have to kinda wait on yourself, as you just order at the front and sit to eat, but i found it to be charming a bit. ill def be coming back ♡
I don’t understand the many negative reviews! Bread & Butter is one of my favorite local places, but I will say they have tweaked many small improvements. There’s now a hostess at the door that welcomes you and opens the door as you’re about to walk in, and opens the door for you as you leave. Each staff member is nice and courteous, clearing plates and asking if you need anything else. My favorite team member, however, is Sam. She’s beyond sweet and caring, making sure all the customers have a pleasant experience. The Hospitality was good when it started, but has slowly become better and better by each visit. I remember one time I placed a to-go order and was stuck in railroad traffic for 30 minutes. I called them to see if they could re-make my order since it would have been cold by the time I got there, and the manager re-did my order without hesitation. Overall, whatever negativity and criticism the reviews have mentioned, even though I don’t think it was necessary, has been executed properly. People must understand that this is not a typical restaurant where you have someone wait on you, and that is okay. Each food restaurant has their own unique style and we must abide by that. Also, the food prices for the quality of food you receive are reasonable.
Looked for a place on Sunday after church around 1pm The place was Not crowded, and had plenty of seating. Upon entering, there's a process and it is pretty simple: First, Pick a table, and Review the menu Next, Go to the counter and order your food Then, Head over to the Soft drinks, Coffee and toast bar, and gather your utensils and napkins And finally, They bring it to your table and enjoy We ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict and .Chicken Crepes. It came with Plentiful portions. It was really tasty. Friendly team, always helpful. Would go back, oh yes, I highly recommend this place. To Go boxes and bags if needed Easy to find and plenty of parking
Tucked away in the heart of the city, this charming restaurant is a true hidden gem. Their brunch menu is a feast for the senses, featuring beautifully presented dishes that are as delicious as they are visually stunning. Every bite reflects their commitment to quality and creativity, making it the perfect spot for food enthusiasts. What truly sets this place apart is the exceptional service - attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. Whether you're catching up with friends, enjoying a leisurely solo meal, or celebrating a special occasion, this hidden gem is the place to be.
My family and I enjoy bread+butter on Saturday, everything we ordered was wonderful and the presentation of the food was definitely a 10. The coffee hot and iced was so good too! We will definitely be coming back. The manager was also so sweet and stopped by our table to make sure our food and everything was good! This place is definitely worth checking out.
Overall, not a bad experience. I got the breakfast wrap and generally enjoyed my meal. My gf got the two-of-a-kind; she didn’t like the beef bacon but that could be a matter of taste. The service was odd because you sit down to read the menu and then get back up to go stand in line and order at the counter. But the food was fast to come out and the staff was courteous. “Worst parts” were the atmosphere overall. The menus were dirty, the chairs are cheap and kindof small - I’m not obese but I’m tall and the bars on the backside cut into your butt. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and there’s things like ceiling tiles missing. The parking situation isn’t terrible in itself, but it was tough to maneuver due to the nearby drive thru donut shop with no outlet to the main road so patrons for that location are blocking your exit because they don’t consider the thru-traffic. I would return here again, though. It was a nice experience for a very reasonable price.
***Edited review: Their dishes were good. I got a multi grain slice and it complimented my omelette really well, much to my surprise. The only issue I had was that the salad and avocado slices were not fresh. ***Look at the picture: part of the avocado was brown. That’s why it’s bitter. The owner claimed that they use the same day fresh ingredients, but they failed to spot this one. I haven’t wanted to come back ever since. The employees were friendly when we placed our order at the counter. This place has a good vibe, too!
Impressed with a complimentary, toast, and coffee. Service is wonderful. By looking at a Chicken Fried Steak I thought it was gonna be very tough and not very good. But also was very impressed and had a great flavor was tough to cut (think it was the dinnerware ) , but easy to chew. Biscuits are good. Chicken Fried chicken was good and tinder. I will return
Came here twice. First time was amazing but just went back today and the service was AWFUL. Everyone including the woman manager was too busy eating to serve food, waited about 30 minutes for something that took 5 last time when it wasn’t busy and I didn’t see a single person wash their hands after eating in front of all of the customers. That’s how food born illnesses are spread and god forbid if I have a severe allergy. Then the waiters went around messing up orders while the manager just sat watching while talking to someone. Just overall super disappointed.
The place was cute and it was a self-service concept. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my eggs were over cooked, they did not come with the capers and onions that were supposed to be included, and bread they used underneath it all was a soggy mess. They were kind enough to remake the eggs and just brought me the poached eggs without extra holandaise sauce. The best part of the meal was the strawberry matcha, I def recommend that drink.
Coming in from out of town, a family member sent me here. Definitely not my style of dining. I’ve never actually experienced anything like it and I’ve been around the world. The self serve is off putting, considering you are paying dine in w service prices. They seem to have enough staff without enough to do but walk around and wipe stuff down. They don’t put any silverware on the table, which can’t be that challenging w a full staff on deck. The one guy delivering the coffee seems to have time on his hands. Doesn’t seem like an efficient use of staff. You see one person delivering food and she actually seemed like she needed help. The food wasn’t even worth it. The sausage patties were cold! Grits watery, eggs undercooked. Never again!
Waffle house is better and cheaper. I got the French toast, it was cheap white bread. If im paying the prices I do expect, at minimum, a thick cut piece but preferably a thick cut brioche. Plus there was 0 flavor. My wife got the Big Phil, meat was very grisly and 0 flavor. With almost 0 staff, you have to go order at a counter, you would expect cheaper prices but you would be wrong here. You have to get everything yourself, silverware to ketchup and drinks but they have sit down service prices. I have worked in restaurants for a long time, these owners are crazy to think people will pay the prices with almost 0 service and keep coming back. It should have been a huge red flag when we walked in and it was dead on a Saturday morning at 11, thats prime brunch time.
Came for the first time and was disappointed. Atmosphere is very casual laid back. I didn't like that you sit yourself down but then have to get up to order at the counter. Had to pay upfront and tip was expected without even getting any service. There are no waiters just food runners. No one brought napkins, silverware, straws. I ordered a cappuccino and the coffee was just awful, very bitter tasting. When I asked to get a replacement drink, I wasn't provided one. Husband ordered chicken and waffles and for the price, it was not worth it, flavorless. Will not be going back or even recommending to anyone.
I’m really not sure why this place has such good reviews because the food is tasteless. I asked for a blueberry pancake and they gave me a flavorless pancake with bland blueberry compote/sauce on top - I ate 2 bites. The sausage patty looks like what you get at McDonald’s - I had one bite of it and my head and stomach said no. The shredded hashbrowns were good with salt and pepper added. My boyfriend said the seasoned potatoes were good - they did look quite good and seasoned. We both ordered the biscuit breakfast. The biscuits were ok, gravy was tasteless - I ate all of that because it was the best thing of what I’d ordered but not at all something I’d ever eat again from there. There isn’t much service - you walk in seat yourself look at menu walk up to the order counter wait for someone to come take the order you give them your table number and they bring the food to you. You get your own drink cutlery and napkins and anything else you may need. In short: do not go here if you like flavorful breakfast food. And then on top of all that our bills was $50 - definitely not worth that price.
