If you love Mexican seafood, ceviches, and margaritas, this place is for you. Mariscos Culiacán, right on University Blvd in Takoma Park, seriously delivers. I had the Original Tajín Margarita (their spicy-style margarita), and it was amazing—perfectly balanced with a great kick. The Aguachiles were fresh, spicy, and full of flavor. But the star of the night was the Ceviche Especial—absolutely unbelievable. Super fresh seafood with bold, well-seasoned flavors. What really sets this place apart is the combination of authentic Mexican mariscos and sushi. You can enjoy ceviches, tostadas, cocteles, and sushi rolls all in one visit, and everything works. The space is big and lively with lots of screens, giving it a fun sports bar vibe. They also have happy hour from 4–7 PM plus daily specials, which makes it an easy win. If you’re into ceviches, margaritas, and bold Mexican flavors, I highly recommend Mariscos Culiacán. I’ll definitely be back.
I love this restaurant! My favorites include: sushi (spicy tuna roll), tacos (shrimp), and aguachilles (raw and cooked shrimp served cold on a spicy sauce, similar to ceviche, the Black sauce is the spiciest option)- all absolutely delicious. If you love seafood, this is a great spot. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. If you’re in the area, check it out! 🍣🌮🥑
Highly recommend! The food was to die for and the service was great! No wait time and everything was decently priced! My favorite was the aguachiles especial with salsa negra. The tuna and shrimp was also soo good. Tuna taste fresh and they have so many different hot sauces to compliment the dishes. The fish taco was crunchy but fresh at the same time and the beef taco was wrapped in a cheese filling - wow! Cannot wait to come back! I didn’t try any drinks but will be back soon!
This spot was recommended by a friend while I was visiting town, and I’m so glad we stopped in for dinner. The food and drinks were excellent, and our server was fantastic. He gave a thorough breakdown of the menu. As a pescatarian, I especially appreciated the options. The shrimp ceviche and shrimp tempura were both fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in town!

Visited this restaurant for the first time and it was more than what I expected. The atmosphere is beautiful and welcoming. The service is excellent and the food is incredibly delicious. So much flavor and a variety of selections. I highly recommend this restaurant. One of the best Sinaloa seafood restaurants that I have ever eaten.

Love this place, I come very often. I've been a loyal client since opening and never get tired of this place. Both the drinks and food is very flavorful, I recommend everything but mainly their aguachile negro (if you're good with spicy food, if not they have rojo which is mild and verde so your typical aguachile) and quesito culichi. For sushi: my top two right now are popcorn shrimp, and salmoncito hot, they always have specials for happy hour and recently incorporated live music both grupos and mariachi. They always have good music playing overall and are fine with you requesting a change of music. Customer service is 10/10 I've brought many friends and relatives to try this place out which all have had great feedback.

It was AMAZING! Words can’t describe how good it was. We had the atun tostada, aguachile, shrimp cocktail, flaming hot roll, Quesito Culichi taco, and shrimp taco, and let me tell you, it was great!!! They deserve this review and more! We will definitely go back! People need to pack this place up!

I came here for girls night with my best friends and was warmly greeted by the owner, Hugo. The chefs Mario and Christian were so kind as well. The food was delicious!! Everything was so fresh and well presented. The ambiance was enjoyable, I recommend their michelada ! I’ll definitely come back for their live music on Saturday. This place is a gem !!!

Came back again! I tried the spicy tuna sushi roll for the first time and it tasted so much better than I had expected! It tasted so fresh, too! I don’t like to do spicy and it didn’t taste too spicy for me! I also tried Aguachile Tostada on a Wednesday Happy Hour special (I don’t eat corn so got it without the tostada) and it was so flavorful and my mouth just waters thinking about it right now. Salsa verde is the non spicy, so really enjoyed it. Original: I have been here more than two times already. My favorite has been the Shrimp Zarandeados!! (I forgot to take a picture of it). Calamari with the dip was just perfect! Aguachile with Salsa Negra was very flavorful! Last time I came I had the Tempura deep fried sushi roll and that’s one of my favorites!!! Agua fresca del día was a hibiscus tea and I had 2. Staff is very nice. It’s a new and growing restaurant and changes are normal. Looking forward to coming back!!! Much success to this unique restaurant!!
I recently tried the carne asada and the quesito culichi res, and I have to say, they were fantastic! The steak was so tender and packed with flavor—cooked just right. The quesito was a delightful mix of crispy cheese and savory meat, and the avocado added the perfect touch to balance everything out. Highly recommend giving these a try!

Second time coming back and the food was just amazing as the 1st time. Service was great, the waiters are always so polite and attentive. The best shrimp tempura I have ever had!!! There is a little bit of everything for you to enjoy.
