Jasmine Culver City Reviews
LOVED IT!! Everything was absolutely delicious. I ordered a chicken tandoori lunch special. Naan bread was so light and went well with curry. My husband got the lamb curry combo and I kept stealing from his plate lol! Would 100% come back here. Prices are reasonable and service was great.
A Hidden Gem in Culver City! Jasmine Restaurant is a cozy delight with bold, comforting flavors. My absolute favorite was the lamb biryani which was rich and aromatic, perfectly spiced. I enjoyed the mohinga fish soup, warming and flavorful, and the kauk swe thoke salad added a fresh, tangy crunch to the meal. Don’t miss their falooda, it’s the perfect sweet treat to end on. Friendly service, great portions, and a menu that invites you to explore. Can’t wait to come back!
First time for Burmese food. Had the grill but now thinking about it should have gone for something more traditional. Authentic style, only downside is most seating is outside and if it’s cold you’re just going to have to suck it out! The chai tea was different to the regular chai I make and drink, worth a try. Inside is a mini grocery store which has many Burmese style foods :-) Keep up the great service.
Not the nicest place to eat at but the food was pretty amazing. There are a lot of choices with the majority having a bit of heat to them. My partner got the vegetable curry with naan. It was very tasty and a bit salty for me so I think it would have paired better with rice. I got the shrimp curry and also an order of chicken biryani rice. The spices were on point but the chicken was a bit dry. It actually was an excellent dish to pair with the vegetable curry in my opinion. Parking was a bit difficult since all I was able to find was street parking. Seating was limited and would probably recommend getting things to go if it's busy. Despite these little things i would definitely recommend going here for some excellent food! Thinking of getting something tomorrow actually....
A very nice family restaurant in Culver City. The foods and prices are great and the staffs are friendly. I love their small deli with delicious desserts.
Love this place been coming here since 2000 when the first owners were here. Best Burmese place around. So glad they are being recognized more and the new owners definitely made this place a lot more inviting plus hes such a chill dude. I'd come for the food it self but the ambient transport you out of LA. Love this place.
Authentic Burmese food. Tasty and filling. There is a large variety. Helpful waiter. Priced fairly.
Great flavor on the lamb plate plus ango lassie tea is delish
The best Burmese and Indian Restaurant in Los Angeles. I didn’t eat Burmese food for over one year. Today, I ate Mohinga soup, this is Myanmar's traditional food and dish was Falooda, the original came from India. The taste was so delicious, that I felt back into my country for a moment. I am from Myanmar(Burma). I will go back to this restaurant. By the way, I bought some dishes (Milk Pudding and Agar-Agar)😋. And also the customer service is very nice. Honestly, I was worried that I would be a very shy person every time I met those people who they are came from our country. I totally recommend going to that restaurant and eating.
I came to this restaurant for the first time when I was around 12 and I remember it being much smaller, much emptier , but the food was exceptional. I remember always trying to convince my family to come back here for dinner but we never did. A little more than 10 years later and we came back and let me tell you. The food was just as delicious as I remembered. The staff was so nice and the ambience was perfect. I am so happy to see this restaurant is still around and that their food still tastes like it’s made with love ! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. The Kau swe and the keema paratha were my two favorite items out of everything we had.
casual and cheap. food is DELICIOUS and very flavorful. this place is so cute and the food here is cooked with heart, you can taste it. the flavor is rich and delicious. super cheap too - a lunch special is around $8-$10. also great for vegan/gluten free/vegetarian dining. I got the lunch veggie combo and it came with a bowl of veggies in broth, and a side of rice, daal, naan bread, and coleslaw. since i’m gluten-free, they graciously subbed my naan for extra coleslaw. the veggies were soft and the broth was so flavorful and spiced perfectly. the rice was spiced too - so delicious. the daal was SO GOOD and the coleslaw was so fresh and light. such a great lunch spread. they also have lots of products to buy from their market. the veggie samosas looked incredible at less than $2 each. they also had sweets made from coconut and cassava. they also have a beautiful patio out front for dining with a nice water feature. this place is a true gem.
Tasty food! Generous portion sizes! We ordered chicken fried noodles, shrimp tempura, Shami Kabab and Beef Haleem with naan. Everything was delicious! Will come back again 😊
I am Burmese and I totally recommend the Burmese food offered by Jasmine Market. We are always excited to go there to enjoy some delicious food that makes us always feel like eating home-cooked food. Very passionate staff who loves what they are doing. Mohinga, tea leave salad, Falooda, and Burmese tea are always spot-on! 100% recommended for excellent taste of Burma❤️

an epic hidden gem in LA i never would've known about unless i was craving a tea leaf salad and looked to find the closest one to us! excellent service and delicious, fresh, flavorful dishes (we loved everything we tried)!!! plus an amazing array of snacks and products to grab from their shop while you wait for your meal. highly recommend the tea leaf salad, noodles, and chicken curry. everything on the menu is probably magical. 100/10 can't wait to return. :)
Delightful meal of lab biryani and beef curry! The naan is light but perfectly crisped. It’s a TON of food for a good price. The atmosphere with the little market and the outdoor dining with market lights and overhang were very charming
We ordered enough feast for a party of eight. There were only four of us, and we had so many leftovers. The portions were very generous. We ordered beef fried noodles, tofu salad (the tofu looked like mango!), chicken fried rice, garlic naan, onion naan, and curry chicken. It was a self-serve, we placed our order at the counter and they delivered our dinner to the table. Friendly staff members.
I am so thankful for my Burmese friend for introducing me to this Burmese/Indian spot. The restaurant/market is so low-key but they sell some good stuff! Parking is free on the street on Sundays, otherwise it's metered and you have to pay during the week. Dishes I ordered and liked: -lamb biryani $18. This is a filling dish that is shareable. It comes with the most tender lamb in a bed of red/orange rice. It was so flavorful. -cucumber yogurt. I am not sure if this came with the lamb, but it was soooo good. -peas & naan $6. This was my first time having peas as a dip with naan. It was surprisingly very delicious. The naan was thin and crispy. -Fish cake salad. I actually don't see it on the menu, but my friend ordered this. It came with a bowl of soup. -Myanmar chai $2 for small. This was great hot milk tea. (I didn't taste the Indian-type of chai) I love tea leaf salad, so I would want to try that next time. They have neat items in the market. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. Bathroom is in the back.
A very interesting eating experience. It’s similar to Indian/Nepalese food, but distinctly different. We had the Haleem Beef, the fish soup (supposedly the National dish) and a couple of other dishes. They were all pretty good, especially the chicken curry puff. The banana bread was really good. The outdoor seating area was breezy and nice, but very tight.
Amazing service, beautiful patio, and delicious food. The main road Jasmine is on is very busy and parking was a little challenging (paid meter parking) but maybe there is a back parking lot? The market is small but they have a lot of amazing ingredients that you can’t normally find at a Ralph’s. My mom lived in Myanmar for a few years so I’m very familiar with Burmese food. I was super excited to try this place. Their Mohingha and falooda is delicious. Loved the naan and daal curry as well. The Ohn No Kaw Swe was okay, I feel like it lacked a little salt. Everything was beautifully plated and colorful.

My review is only for the purpose to improve Beef Haleem is a reciepe that has the beauty of tinder beef with some grinded mix pulses. 1>I ordered it and found that it missed the most important garnish ingrident "Ginger" and the lime selection was poor as the lime should give a sour lime juice not sweet change the lime selection. 2>The naan's were okay untill i filiped one of it and saw burned residue from the (tandoor)oven, the oven should be clean with a scraper every 24hrs to clear out any left over's from the previous service (photo attached). 3> taste of the food was fair 'cause upto my taste 'cause i've ate much greater tasting haleems so 3 stars.
Jasmine Market & Deli is mainly a restaurant with some Burmese groceries available for purchase. The food is made after you order so it can take at least 15 minutes for it to be ready. There are somewhat limited options for vegetarians, however many of the appetizers are vegetarian. The Sasame Balls were not my favorite, and had a bit of a sweet flavor in the bean filling - so are more of a dessert. The Puri and Aloo was a great choice and very filling, and the Aloo curry was very distinctly flavored that is good but very different from Indian food. The Puri however was very oily, so I wish I had some more napkins to dab away some of the oil. The Naan with Peas was good, with a simple butter naan and what seemed to be the Dhal base as the curry. Unfortunately after eating here my stomach was a bit upset and very bloated, although I'm not too sure specifically what it was.

I was really excited to try this place, but the fish soup was awful. It tasted like potatoes and I had to add a lot of spice and vinegar because it was bland by itself. I didn’t even finish half of it. The setting was pretty, but you can skip this place.
