Harumi Sushi Cupertino Reviews
Funny enough, this strip mall sushi is better than any of the high end sushi restaurants we have in Dallas. I was genuinely unaware how fresh and simple sushi could be, but the high grade of fish here really opened my eyes to what the dishes are supposed to taste like. And it was well priced too! I’d make the whole trip again just to eat here.
Bento was good. Tempura also very good. Beef was surprisingly tender. Fast service. Tempura sauce didn't have much flavor to me? Parking was difficult at peak Sunday lunch time.
Food had the wholesome quality. Great place of people who want to try japanese food but not sushi lovers. Plenty of great options. Vegetable and shrimp tempura, fried tofu, chicken karage, california roll. My kid who is a picky eater enjoyed this place quite well. Service was quick.
My #1 go to for quality, service and price! I’ve never had a bad experience here and I’ve gone maybe at least once a month for the last couple years - just a huge fan of their consistency and menu options! I always get the 49er and Philadelphia or Alaska basic rolls, occasionally bentos!
We came across this place randomly when we stopped by the Japanese grocery next door and it’s been one of the better (best?) sushi spots in South Bay in terms of quality and price point. Good quality seafood, generous portions, and the tempura veggies were crunchy, light, and airy. I’m glad to have found a trusty sushi spot to come to.
I love this place. This is the only sushi restaurant I go to in the Bay Area since coming back from living in Japan for 3 years. I order the Lucky 7 roll and the incredible roll. You won’t be disappointed!
Really delicious rolls, service was quick, and the atmosphere was pleasing. Will definitely be back to try their other plates.
The sushi is tasty and fresh, as well as reasonably priced for the area. I like the udon and ramen here too. The service is good

Delicious and fresh. We have been coming to this sushi place for over a decade. Among other things, their chirashi bowl is so so so generous with the sashimis!!!
Our family’s go to spot for years. Great service and food - certain items are what we get here - the rolls (big spider is a MUST trust me.), the “hwe dup bap” (kind of unspoken menu), and the rolls overall The sashimi and fried tofu appetizer is also really good

Service was good! The food was ok. I'll definitely try this place a second time. We ordered a few appetizers and rolls.
Harumi Sushi is located in Cupertino, California, close to Apple Park. It was a perfect day for soup and bento. It was raining and we decided to go 21 of our new locations, Harumi Sushi. I got my normal Pork Katsu, The kids got there ramen noodles and yaki sobo. The wife got Chicken Katsu. The meal was delicious and great for the weather... Take a look at our Picks. When your in Cupertino, stop by Harumi Sushi and tell them you want Joe's Special !!!
Not the greatest sashimi or beef teriyaki but good variety of sushi and rolls. The sashimi wasn't as tender as I'd like and the beef teriyaki was okay but was a different type of beef I'm used to. Though it was tender enough, it just had less of the grilled flavor steak I've had from restaurants in Mountain View. The vegetable and shrimp tempura were excellent and the rolls were unique. My wife says this is one of the best seafood salads. We came about 20 minutes earlier than the opening time of 1130 but got somewhat irritated looks because we honestly didn't know. So we came back. The first server wasn't as friendly at first and forgot my water. All in all the prices weren't too bad considering the area. We spent about $64 for a family of three (no beverages just water and tea). The server who came later was more attentive and refilled our drinks and gave my water. Parking was okay and can be difficult on Saturdays.
Love the staff here. Been one of our staples for Japanese food for years now. Had the tempura entree. Only criticism, no carrots. Carrots tempura was one of my faves growing up. All else though, very good.
Sushi here is alright, but they're all basically just variations of a California roll. The king's roll is a bit different with soft shell crab (and huge), but ultimately the taste is all pretty similar. Chicken karaage is okay, nothing crazy. Sashimi is also just alright, not bad but not amazing.
I liked their veggie bento box. Lots of food and tempura and tofu were good. But not exceptional or memorable. The water had a weird smell and flavor in it.

Sushi is delicious and some of the best I've tasted. I'd skip the ramen, it's just alright.
As I entered the restaurant, I saw all 2 chefs were non-Asian behind the sushi bar, which is usually not a good sign. Ordered a bento combo box lunch, couple sushi and a combo udon. The uni and sweet shrimps sushi were not too bad, average. The udon broth seemed over-seasoned and included half a hard boiled eggs, (instead of a whole lightly boiled eggs), which lessened the flavors of the udon. Bento box: the fried tempura was good, but the sashimi was flavourless, and the teriyaki chicken was not tender. Also saw other customers ordered various California styled rolls. I would say this is an Americanized Japanese restaurant with average quality food and prices.

Very tasty sushi, seemingly fresh. Quick and attentive service, and the ramen was surprisingly good. Gyoza were the worst ever. Seemed like frozen from Dollar Tree.

If you going for rice mayonnaise and skimpy not good quality fish then u coming to a right place !!! We ordered lion king . Portion was skimpy salmon roll that was not backed as it’s say on description . Sushi chef probably stick it into microwave instead of oven toaster . Salmon looks pale color and not nice and toasty . On taste it was all about mayonnaise 😱😱😱 No taste of fish at all. We saw on wall add about belly hamachi nigiri 2 pieces for $9.50!!! Well… we ordered!!! Omg! What a disappointment ! Instead of beautiful sexy hamachi that was on picture we got poor sorrow hamachi that cut as thin that we can read news paper through!!! Will never come back here !!!
I ordered seafood udon and all the fish and mussels were stuck together. Like they were just out of the freezer. The sushi was not good either, even burnt.
