Tan-Cha Cupertino Reviews
I was pleasantly surprised by the astoundingly good quality of the container used for the drink. The drink itself is good, although its on par and not that much better than other drinks like happy lemon, and both are expectedly a long wait due to their respective popularity. I can however confidently say that Tan-Cha provides a far better container which is not only convenient, but also elegant and satisfying. Good for straws, or direct sipping, its even convenient for stirring or shaking the drink given how truly airtight it is for a disposable container, such that i'm tempted to reuse it.
Tan-cha has become my favorite milk tea stores in the bay area. I'm impressed by the fact that they really add no sugar if you ask for it. Most stores will still add some sugar even if you request no sugar, in order to make the flavor better. I'd recommend the fruit tea and the tiramisu uji matcha milk tea. Note that this place is popular so prepare for some wait time.
Low key probably a lot of this place's business is from people waiting for Kura, so it's good to have somewhere to grab a drink and chill in the meantime. I liked their uji green milk tea with cheese foam. Not too much caffeine either
Absolutely best place to get milk tea with cheese cream top. The Ceylon milk tea with tiramisu puff cream is the most beautiful drink I’ve had in a while. Found this gem in LA and I’m just really happy that they opened a new location in the Bay Area! Pro tip: get the milk tea with 1/4 sugar. The sweetness of the cream balances well with the black tea so you won’t need the full sugar level.
THE FLUFFY PANCAKE IS AMAZING!!! I have waited years to try such a treat, and I can thank Tan-Cha for bringing me this joy~! It's so soft and not too sweet AND IT JIGGLES!!! Drinks are consistent in taste, and the best are the Matcha or Tiramisu foams~ Service here is incredible, and everyone is so friendly. They really make me come back (well besides the food and drinks). It is small inside, so don't expect to sit and eat. But it's nice to eat outside when the weather is not horrible. Finding parking still sucks because it is the overcrowded Main Street Cupertino Plaza, but I will fight for parking for a fluffy pancake. Hands down my new favorite milk tea shop~!
Oh, wow, two ordered the #5, I got the peach tea with tiramisu foam. It was delicious. The orders came out quick and on point. I would definitely come back. 3 drink = $18.
One of the best tea places in the bay area. You can't go wrong with anything you choose. The peach cheezo is one of my favorites and the Uji Green tea with tiramusu foam is delicious. You have to try it at least once!
My friend highly recommended this place and I totally agree with her. I've never been tried boba tea with cheese form before. Now, it's one of my favorite tea places. I ordered Uji Matcha With Cheese Foam and Frothy Matcha Pu’er Tea. Both them are amazing and high quality.
Gotta hand it to Cupertino, they have all the good milk tea spots and.....Japanese fluffy pancakes??? I thought had to drive all the way up to Frisco for this, Not anymore!! We tried the tea and it was good, but we were really there for the pancakes. We ordered a fruit tea and milk tea with cheese foam. As expected, they were delicious, the only thing I would change is reduce the amount of fruit added in. Felt like I was eating more fruit than drinking tea. The Boba was nice and chewy which is always a plus. We also ordered creme brulee Japanese pancake and tiramisu pancake. The creme brulee was fantastic, sweet and the pancakes we're incredibly light and fluffy. It's legit, and the tiramisu was equally tasty. Slightly salty, but it compliments the pancakes very well, I have no complaints. The prices are reasonable for the dessert you're getting. But great experience and super tasty! Also, the spoon is a freaking cute shovel. How cool is that???
Royal Ceylon Milk Tea with Tiramisu Puff Cream ($4.75 + boba $0.50) -- my friend and i both got the same thing except she ordered it with boba and i didnt! mhmm this particular drink fireee! i esp really like the chocolate bits on top of the cream and the balance of drink vs cream wasnt overbearing-- which made the drink an even blend of sweetness and tea richness. an added bonus is the fact that they give you a little scoop where you can scoop the puff cream
It was my first time here and tried the Uji green milk tea with tiramisu foam. It was sooo good! I only needed to get 25% sweetness and it was perfect with the sweetness of the tiramisu foam topping and the slight floral taste of the tea. Their boba has the perfect chewiness and sweetness. I'm definitely going back again. I didn't have to wait in a long line so it was a plus!
New boba shop! They took over the sweet honey dessert place, a couple doors down from the boiling point concept. Small place, line does go out the door sometimes. Not much seating area. Order: Uji green milk tea with tiramisu foam ( bomb! The cream is a bit thick but the flavors are amazing!) I wanna try the pancakes when I go back!

I ordered the Brulee Thai Milk Tea with Caramel boba and it was fantastic! I normally go with fruit teas, but they didn't have that many options. I figured I'd give a milk tea try and I was not disappointed. It was very good and the foam stuff in it was even better. The drink was very good looking as well. Size felt generous for being 6-7 dollars. My usual place I pay 8 dollars and get less so this was a surprise. The caramel boba was similar to honey boba just a bit more flavored. Their texture was good and I really liked them. Service was fast and quick. The atmosphere was good, (it wasn't busy) servers were nice and speedy. I would definitely come here again!

Great bubble tea (the red jade is the most flavorful milk tea I’ve ever had), cute shovel spoon for cheese foam. Ordering system is a bit hectic during COVID: online order pickup is as far away from the door as possible, and only 6 ppl allowed inside the space at once, so after you order in person you wait outside for your drink and someone behind the register screams your order # as loud as they can and you try and dodge in to grab it when there’s not too many people). Someone please donate a DMV style ticket system!
I ordered the mango drink and it was pretty good. I ordered 50% sweetness as my usual level and found it to be on the sweeter side. It’s also quite rich, so felt more like a dessert than a drink. $6 for the drink (no toppings and pre tax/tip) so not cheap, but on par for the area. May return if I’m in the area, but there are a lot of other shops closeby with more menu options.
The strawberry smoothy is fire. The super fruit tea tasted nice but when I was done drinking the watermelon was too soft to eat and in general the fruit bits were not present enough. Anybody that wants a very fruity tea I would recommend Moomo a few minutes north from here. This place is great for drinking while you're waiting in line for Kura. But i probably wouldn't come just for Tan-Cha from afar. Maybe for the strawberry smoothie.
Very cute and pretty tasty tea. Considering what it replaced (sweet moment) which was aesthetic but just mediocre in terms of drinks, tan cha is much better. I unfortunately was unable to try their pancakes since they aren't available on Tuesdays and even on other days are only available after 5pm. I got their top drink the one with tiramisu foam. The foam was good and the tea was pretty standard. They have cute cups and shovels for the foam/ice cream. Since it is a new place, there's a line out the door but it moves pretty fast.
Pretty decent cream cheese tea. The Ceylon tiramisu cheese tea is super yummy. Definitely get less sugar as the cream is sweet enough. The line is pretty long and even for drinks you need to wait a while. The pancakes are only available after 5 pm except on Tuesday when they are not available at all.
My girlfriend and I came around 2 pm, and we were disappointed to find that the pancakes were not being served until after 5 pm! We ordered some boba instead, and found the boba to be pretty tasty. They served the boba with a very fancy cup along with a shovel! I will come here next time after 5 pm to get those pancakes that we were dying to get this time.
Not your regular boba tea shop. They have pretty creative drinks there. Worth a try if you are close by and are feeling adventurous. I got a strawberry smoothie with ice cream on top and it tastes exactly like what it sounds like

We had this tea drink while waiting for the line to a restaurant nearby. The drink was good, but it was too sweet in my opinion.

Really delicious tea and a beautiful location. Only complaint: the nice girl working there had her long, black hair down while making our drinks. I thought nothing of it until I slurped a long black hair along with my boba. It was really gross... and totally ruined my first experience there. 5 stars for the drink itself, though. Really yummy!
I visited Tan-Cha last weekend and here are my thoughts. I enjoyed their fruit-flavored boba, but not as much as their tea-based ones. I didn't quite enjoy the tea base as much as other spots. The atmosphere was quite stuffy and I would recommend more circulation in a small space. I would also like to add the loud environment didn't help when ordering. Overall a solid 3/5 👌.
The tea flavor is strong which I like the most. The price now is crazy, way experience, again, I will blame inflation. I used to like their cheese cream foam, but it is too sweet now. I remember matcha/uji is their top must try; I just found out Pu’er tea and matcha cream foam is amazing too.

Love their tiramisu foam! Their price is also slightly more reasonable compared to Heytea. Came by around 6pm today and they were closed hours early without any notice put up T-T Disappointed, but luckily other boba spots are not too far away. Hope they can improve in this area next time.

What's good: Unique cream based teas like brulee, tiramisu. Our fav is tiramisu cream tea and it's really good What's bad: Badly run. Two kids making tea and one kid managing orders plus finishing the drinks. The drinks sit around until this dude gets to the drinks. As I waited for the tea, I noticed the two tea makers literally made the drinks inside the sink. They reused the glasses/mixers and barely rinsed it between drinks. The whole idea of making drinks in the sink grossed me out that I don't think I will go back
The place looks nice by the service is horrible. Zero customer service. The music they play is so loud and the wait is too long for boba drinks and that’s just waiting for them to take your order. I wanted to check this spot out since it was near my work but this was my first and last time going here.
This is the only location for tancha in bay area. They are located in nice area right besides boiling point too. The drink is just alright as well, For drinks, I do get either the cheese foam or the avocado drinks. On most of the occasion, they have a very long line, typically it takes half an hour for you to get your drink but on the upside parking is easy. The only complaint that I have from this place is their service. I do find most of the time, they are rude and not being nice at all to many of the customers. Although I understand they are quite busy, but I don't see a reason to sacrifice the customer service quality for the business. They will scream your number when its done, but often time its not clear at all what they are saying so I would check in and instead they will give me attitude for checking in which confuse me because it is not very convenient for me to keep checking in too. Maybe they can give out buzzer or something and also being nicer to customer.
I like how Tancha’s drinks are very unique and different compare to other boba places. I ordered a royal ceylon milk tea with tiramisu and brulee milk tea with boba. The ceylon tasted delicious and unique since it had tiramisu on top, giving a taste like a dessert. Brulee milk tea was also very good, it also came with one scoop of vanilla ice cream, you can mix the ice cream and the milktea together. The packages is very nice, the cups are hard and strong. Even tho the drinks are tasty, the customer service at Tancha is the reason I give 2 stars. The staffs were not that friendly and kinda rude. I can understand they are trying to limit the customer inside but they should’ve said it nicely, instead of making the customers feel like they got kicked out.

Their business lies about their hours. Went last night during advertised open hours and they were lights out no one inside. Placed an order this evening, order went through. Store is dark with only interior lamps on, no one inside the store. Do not come here. Unreliable and dishonest.

This place never has boba. We came in at 11am and the excuse was: It's too early! 08/23. The other times they ran out. Dude if you open at 11am you should be ready for customers at 11am. It's not, I start prepping everything at 11am hold for an hour please!
