Tofu Plus Korean BBQ Cupertino Reviews
For 5 adults, we ordered 1. Beef Kimchi Tofu was well seasoned with good spice, they were generous with their tofu and it's served with a raw egg at the side. 2. Spicy Beef Short Rib was the flavour bomb! Meat was tender and well seasoned. Spicy soy sauce base has a balance of sweet, savoury and spice. 3. Seafood Pancake was good We had it with 12 types of banchan, it was so good that we had to ask for refills of course! Overall it was pretty authentic! Great meal + catch up with friends in the area!
Good food, but slightly pricy for the portion size. We split 4 dishes (galbijjim, seafood pancake, LA galbi, and army soup) among 6 people and it felt like everyone got exactly one portion of each dish. Some pieces of the galbijjim was hard to chew as well. Could use some more refills of water and side dishes as well.
Atmosphere was pleasant, food was very good as well. Every banchan was tasty. But what stands out even more is the customer service. Our party had a elderly family member using a wheelchair. We chose this spot for its wheelchair accessibility. The restaurant entrance was wide and clean. The restaurant staff were very friendly and helped clear a path and helped open doors without hesitation. They regularly checked on my family member. They truly cared. Highly recommend.
Solid Korean food with a wide range of menu options. I had the tofu soup which came out bubbling with a good flavor and tofu in every bite. They also offer a vegetarian version of the tofu soup which is nice because not every Korean restaurant does. So many side dishes to try and served with tea as well. The seafood pancake was also tasty. The staff was very attentive as well. Prices were a little higher than I expected but they could be normal for the area - not sure.
After standing in line for over an hour (worth it), I finally got my hands on the Fish Roe Soondubu. It was hot, comforting, and exactly what a cold day called for. The banchan? Plentiful. Favorites were the green onion pancake and surprisingly refreshing apple salad. Tofu Plus lives up to the hype. Just bring a jacket and some patience.
04.22.25 12pm Order either via tablet menu or a wait staff will take your order for you. Really delicious large serving of LA Galbi/Kalbi, Yangyum Gehjang (Seasoned Raw Marinated Blue Crab), Ganjang Gehjang (Soy Sauce Seasoned Raw Marinated Blue Crab w.2x Raw Seasoned Whole Shrimp), Haemul Pajun (Seafood Pancake), and the 12x Banchan (side dishes) w.Rice and Hot Tea. *The Kalguksoo (Hand Cut Noodles) was the only miss though so avoid that one menu item* Service was so wonderful to us seniors & daughter, wonderful service by all. It gets really crowded (this is a popular spot in Cupertino across from the Apple Park in the large restaurant maze that is called Cupertino Village!), line forming starting at noon so go early like 11am or later than 2pm for lunch. Our favorite Korean restaurant in the Bay Area. Thank you! *Owned by the same owners as Jang-Su-Jang. We feel this restaurant food tastes much better than any of the Jang-Su-Jangs though.
I will tell you one key thing that makes this Korean restaurant stand out -- every dish we ordered was piping hot! As in temperature hot. And that makes everything good. The Babimbap stone bowl was so hot, it cooked the raw egg I dropped in there and the rice at the bottom of the bowl formed that crispy rice layer -- if you love that as I do. The noodle tofu bowl arrived with the soup bubbling like mad. The noodle soup likewise was just friggin' hot -- keeping the noodles hot for a long time. Just really fantastic.
Wow! I found my favorite Korean restaurant in Silicon Valley! It's a bit noisy because it’s really busy. But, this place has great authentic Korean food. I would venture to say that the taste and quality are comparable to the best ones in Southern California. We had combo tofu soup and pork belly wrap. The pork was soft and flavored the way my mom used to make. The combination of pickled jalapeños, spicy radish mix, salty fermented shrimp, and Korean bean paste wrapped with the pork into a salty nappa cabbage roll... Um... it was good!!! The place provides 12, yes, 12 side dishes! All those were good in their own Korean way! The tofu soup had well-balanced taste also that went well with all the side dishes. Will definitely come back for more. HIghly recommended.
Today we visited Cupertino village. We dined at this Korean restaurant. The flavors were satisfying, and the dishes were prepared with care. The service at the restaurant was good. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure our needs were met throughout the meal. The wait was not long. my second favorite kitchen definitely Korean. Highly recommended.
Has been my favorite tofu soup place in Bay Area for a while. I usually order the oyster tofu soup which has such rich flavor in it and a lot of oysters. You can also pick your own spice level. We also ordered seafood pancake, which was mid. Too much flour and too thick. Banchan they provide is always great, tons of choices and refillable.
Great experience at Tofu Plus. The Vegetarian Bibimbap and Tofu Soup with Pork were delicious, but the banchan really stood out—huge portions and lots of options! The staff was wonderful, too, carefully helping us distinguish which sides were vegetarian-friendly. Excellent food and service—we’re already planning our next visit.
we go to this place quite often because my son loves korean food. if you go during dinner time you usually have to wait 15-30 minutes. the food comes out very quickly and is very tasty. the only downside and i find it quite annoying is that they often make us feel rushed to finish early. they even give us the bill before we finish eating lol.
Total Score: 8.05 Bathroom: 4.5/5 Definitely unique decor from what I’ve seen at most Korean restaurants. Love the stone + flower decor Customer Service: 4/5 If we needed anything we can order “Help!!” On the electronic ordering button 😂😂😂. Convenient and quick. Ambiance: 4/5 Classic contemporary Korean decor vibes. Food: 4.25/5 Food was surprisingly not as spicy as I thought it would be. But other than that no complaints about the food at all. Meat was juicyyyy and teokkbokii was chewy Gobbled it all down quickly like the good korean food it is 😋. Wow: 0.5/1 Unlimited bonchon!!!! 🤩🤩🤩. Was a bit sad the pancake wasn’t unlimited but ig cuz it’s an app ur supposed to order Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
Nice Korean restaurant in Cupertino. It get very busy during lunch time. Lucky we arrived when just opened and we get seated immediately. You need to have all your party before they will give you the table. The re are various items in the menu. We ordered Bossum, seafood pancake, oyster tofu soup and galbi. All are yummy except the seafood pancake even though it is crunchy, it feel too flourly and thick. The service was quick. We got our order within minutes. The banchan is yummy. So many banchan. Love the kimchi and cucumber. Overall it was very good lunch
This is one of my fav Korean spots that's not KBBQ. It's my go to Korean spot for the price point to quantity and quality ratio. The flavors for main dishes are pretty on point. The banchans are on a rotation so only a few stay the same. I've been here multiple times and ordered different soups and beef, pork, and chicken entrées. They've all had good and full flavors. It seems like management has changed a couple of times with different staff, but so far the food is consistent. I went rogue and ordered spicy stir fried squid this time and it tasted very one note, so I wouldn't order again. Seafood pancake has good texture and a light crunch. It could definitely be a bit crunchier. It has a good amount of seafood chunks so you're not just eating pancake batter and veggies. The kalbi flavor is good, not too sweet and had a good sweet to savory balance. The meat itself is a bit tough so chewing gets tiring, so don't give it to grandma (or grandpa). Bottom line: Will continue to be a happy customer here! (IG: nokrapreviews)
While some other Korean restaurants give a few banchans (small side dishes), this place gives many. While you wait for your food, you can enjoy their banchans. They give you refills when asked. Their food is good and portion is decent. Food came out pretty fast. However, the hostess service was poor . I arrived early and told her my friends have a child. She wouldn't seat us unless we could tell her if we need a high chair. Then later while we wait for my friends to come (they were stuck with traffic), she kept asking and almost wanted to kick us out of the table. People didn't expect to be in traffic, also the restaurant also didn't have any lines. She shouldn't be a hostess with poor service like this and didn't make us feel welcomed.
food is good. The only thing is they try to rush us out at weekday noon. I was forced to pack my food and leave. What did they do was to hand you the check when we were still obviously enjoying the meal. We both felt uncomfortable after that so we decided to leave.
