Church's Chicken Cypress Reviews
Food was nice, hot and fresh, I will be back. Service was fast too for a drive thru i will be back.
Food is always hot and they give uou a lot of fries. I have been going here for years from time to time. Still really good and chicken is crispy. The restaurant is inside of gas station but they have a drive thru.
I’m really shocked at the low reviews I decided to stop here for lunch since I was in the area and haven’t had church’s in years. My food was hot and fresh, the service was good and I received my meal quickly. Usually I take pictures but I ate my food before I thought about it.
Chicken was hot, fresh out of the fryer. The sides were fresh opposed to sitting in a warmer all day, their drinks were calibrated to perfection, great. The service was a little slow but the food... Made up for the wait. Everyone was nice and very friendly. Small with no seating but they had a drive thru and the food.... My mouth is still watering.
I love the atmosphere but this particular store the service wasn't friendly at all, they messed my order up and blamed me for it, the food didn't taste that well, it just tasted like water and grease
Chicken wasn't spicy enough in my opinion but it was crispy and good and better than KFC chicken, fries weren't that salty but were still enjoyable
Ordered mixed half hot/hot crispy. Opened box and in the center was a huge leg, wing and an apparent large breast. As you go deeper, the breasts, are only half edible. They are breaded but half has been stripped and is just crust, bone and skin. Only one thigh. I always open my box on to go orders and I did in the parking lot. They presented the top and buried the smaller "togo" pieces underneath. That is twice in a row.
I bought a three-piece meal: one thigh and two legs. The two legs are smaller than half of my hand, the jalapeno cheese bombers are about the size of my thumb, and the biscuit is solid. I ordered it with the app and spent about $10-12 on this meal. My dad loves Church’s fried chicken, and I noticed the quality of this location has decreased super fast within these two months. We are sad.
First time at this location Disappointed with the chicken I ordered. The chicken looked and smelled good but it was dry and a little over cooked...too much batter/skin and not enough meat. If you go onto their website they have coupon specials. I got 5 pieces, 2 sides(mash potatoes, fresh mac & cheese) and 2 biscuits for $6 which is a pretty good deal. I’d usually eat 2-3 pieces the same day and save the rest for lunch the next day. I’m used to Church’s having big, juicy chicken but I ended up eating 4 pieces because the chicken was so skimpy 3 out of the 4 I ate barely had any meat! Ended up peeling off all the extra crispy skin! The sides were good the biscuits could have been better. The drive thru service was good got me in & out pretty fast too. But the chicken which is supposed to be the “Star” of the meal was a “Big fail!”
Chicken didn’t have the same Church’s flavor, and was overdone and seemed almost like the oil was old. We ordered large fries and they only filled the bag a 1/4 of the way and biscuits were good but slightly dry.
Do not get the Spicy chicken tenders from this location. They were so old, chewy and hard to swallow. I have had this same meal at other locations and they are amazing. I’m never coming back here.
I usually enjoy this place but at the time that I went, they were closed and have been for 4 days now. Im guessing it's from the winter storm?? But when businesses are open, this one isn't....I had a free coupon that expires today, so thats gone....O_o
The food here at this church is not up to normal churches standards if it's a franchise do not go here because they do not spend the money to make it the way the industry standard is it doesn't have any seasoning in the codeine or was the chicken brine as it should be very dissatisfied sorry for the bad review but I can't say anything good about it only the service was okay but that will not make up for the poor taste of this food 😞
This place was horrible my wife and I went there and they gave us very old chicken it was mind you 6pm on a Saturday the chicken war not eatable tried calling them cause we live on the other side of town no answer at all
Food tasted old. Biscuits were hard. My fried okra tasted old and nasty. I've been to multiple church's chickens but this is by far the worst location. Couldn't even finish food what a waste of money
We went in to this restaurant and ordered a 10 piece chicken tender family meal but it was after 830pm and the restaurant closed at 9pm. The person working ended up giving us about 20 tenders, two containers of mashed potatoes, one white gravy, and one brown gravy. Everything was great at first. But when dipping the chicken tender into the white gravy there was some sort of chemical evaporation flavor on my tongue that tasted like chloraseptic or something. The white gravy smelled like chemicals. The brown gravy also smelled like chemicals and rot. I have no idea what they did to the gravy or how it’s made but I had to spit my food out and the person I was eating with had to throw up. I’m not sure if they didn’t rinse out a cleaning agent in the food bins or if someone put some sort of chemical/poison in the gravy to intentionally poison people. I could not identify the smell or taste. We had about two tenders each and had to throw away the food. We tried calling the restaurant to report but no one picked up.
Do not eat here, both the white and brown gravy smelled and tasted as if it had chemicals in it. Not sure if the cleaning process is subpar or otherwise but unless you want to throw up all over your car. DO NOT EAT HERE. -5/5 stars
Do not eat at this location. The food was old the cook refused to cooked fresh chicken. He was very arrogant he did not provide good customer service. He sent my husband and i away from the establishment.
I ordered a 3 pc meal. It said 2 legs and a thigh. 1 of the legs was actually the upper part of a wing. The other leg and thigh must have been from a small chicken. They must have left the leavening agent out of the biscuit. It was about 1/4 thick and hard as a rock. I grew up eating Church’s chicken when my Mom didn’t have time to fry it herself. My, how the quality has gone down. Disappointing at best.
Real bad experience with the chicken, too hard to eat, it's probably from a day before or from the morning. I was expecting fresh one. I just bought it today May 2nd at 6:32 pm Not going back never again, I will stay with Popeyes and recomend all my friends too.
Customer service was absolutely horrible. Not sure if it's because of the location and they are used to talking to people any way, but not good. The chicken were the SMALLEST pieces I have ever seen. On top of that it has zero flavor. I have never known church's chicken to not have flavor. I will contribute the lack of freshness due to no customers so the chicken is sitting under that light forever
This Church's Chicken is 7 miles from my home. It takes about 18-20 minutes one-way drive. Chicken I got no taste because there was salt missing plus the chick was hard. They are supposed to marinate the chicken in salt water for a certain time. No doubt it was sitting on the tray for a long time. Not 15 minutes, more than that. This is my 2nd time I went there. Sales associates were very unfriendly. They will not give any hot sauce or honey even though you buy many biscuits. I don't know why the management doesn't train their associates. I will not tolerate this type of associate in my business. My 1 star goes to the franchise management and Church's Chicken main office. No wonder why many Church's Chicken are closing in Texas.
