Awake – Addison, TX I really like this place for its simplicity. Awake serves the kind of breakfast and lunch I’d make for myself if I had all the ingredients on hand. It’s affordable, quick, and the coffee is solid. The service is always friendly and welcoming, which adds to the relaxed vibe. This place has the potential to be something really special. It actually reminds me of how First Watch started out. The interior could use a little polish—just a few elevated design touches to bring it into that “upscale casual” space—without losing the down-to-earth charm that makes it stand out from the more pretentious breakfast spots

We chose Awake because it was close to our son’s apartment and had good reviews. Honestly, when we walked in it didn’t seem like much and wasn’t t busy at 10 am on a Sunday. That changed with the service which was really good. I started with a hot latte and it was good but too small. I needed it to be bigger. Tasted good though. The four of us had some good choices. I opted for the spinach bacon mushroom omelet and a side of grits. They both were good and I’m very particular about my grits too. Finished the whole plate. The crab cake Benedict was good and they also like the deluxe egg sandwich. Overall a really nice experience and I was impressed that the prices were reasonable.

I ordered the Texas Steak skillet with two eggs over medium. Let me first state that this meal was ordered via a food delivery app. I understand that my meal had to be cooked and then delivered by a driver. That will not affect my rating. The food was cooked well. It came a little soggy, but that's probably from the drive time. The breakfast potatoes were either hard as a rock or not cooked enough. Other than that, the eggs were cooked perfect. The steak had a good flavor to it. The English muffin was soggy and also hard. Weird combo. All in all, I would 100% eat here again.

The food and service are good here the only thing I would consider is to stay away from the chicken and waffles the tenders are frozen ones that seem to just be heated up in the oven. Very disappointing to say the least. The mimosas are great and all of the other food is good the prices are very reasonable.

This was a first time visit for me and a friend. We both ordered the Texas Steak Skillet, Sunnyside Eggs with Sourdough Bread. It wasn’t bad. I wish they used a different type of steak. The meat was very thin and I wasn’t sure if there was any which I had to dig through for mine. I also had a Kale Kicker drink that was very tasty! Wasn’t a good first impression for me in the meal, but I’ll visit again to try something different.💜

We tried out this breakfast place over the weekend and had a good experience. The food was good, the location is convenient, the atmosphere was cute and clean. We didn't have to wait to be seated and we didn't wait very long to get our food. Our server was nice but she didn't refill our drinks. The service was good overall. My husband ordered the French toast. In the pic, it looks like just one slice but he got two slices of toast. He also ordered some regular toast on the side, which was good. I ordered the bacon avocado scramble with fruit and it comes with an English muffin. It all tasted fresh and high quality.

We were greeted & seated quickly on a late-Sunday morning. Had the Parisian Benedict, Crab cake Benedict, whole wheat chocolate chip pancakes & kid's ham/cheese omelette. The food was pretty good. Our server was nice & the food came out quickly. I'd come back to try out the rest of the menu.

The server was awesome. She was kind she was polite. She took my order and even when I was a little confused on what a certain item was, she took her time to explain it. Upon arrival of the food, it looked immaculate, nice and placed on the table like it was ready to be presented. No, as it went to the taste my eggs were great. The potatoes could’ve been cooked. A little bit longer had a little bit more of a crisp to it But as for the gravy, it tasted so strange. I’m not sure if I want to put that flavor back into my mouth.

Very reasonably priced for a breakfast/brunch place but pretty regular food. I had the steak skillet and enjoyed it but it seemed slightly small of a portion. The sourdough toast did not taste like sourdough- either she didn't bring the right kind or it's just bad quality. Also, we asked for a few simple things on the side or omitted on our orders and the waitress missed them completely. Seating is not very private or cozy. You may end up on a long table with other groups a seat or two away.

The food was mid , Waffle House tastes better but the atmosphere here is nice . Waiter forgot to bring my boyfriend syrup , so the service was also not the best , got our food cold and I think the mimosas were overpriced! Overall 3 stars being nice . Will I come back? I’ll probably try other places first , last resort.

The service and coffee were great, but the food was not it… I had the Monterrey Benedict and everything on my plate just felt microwaved with the exception of the eggs. My husband had the awake omelette he didn’t even finish it. His biscuit tasted microwaved as well when he asked he was told it was because it’s faster for them to bring the food out. Would not recommend.

I let my server know that the quality of the potatoes on my Mexican Skillet were bad and the flavors were muted. He let the kitchen know and once he checked back in with me he said they knew it'd be like that because of poor quality potatoes from their vendor. ... so you're serving poor quality product on purpose? What a slap in the face. The waffle was great, coffee was great. Service was very good. Unfortunately I can't recommend eating from a kitchen that knowingly serves inferior products. Try First Watch instead.
